My husband and I had a wonderful stay while visiting family in Charlottetown! I grew up in Charlottetown and had always been curious about this place, and our stay did not disappoint. The staff were friendly, our room was cozy, and the cookies were delicious. We would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend to anyone!

The Great George is within easy walking distance to the waterfront. The hotel itself is elegant and welcoming. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible.

This is a lovely location right in the heart of Charlottetown. The bed was so super comfy that I had a great night of sleep every night.
Breakfast was good however some variety would be nice seeing that we stayed 4 night and every day was basically the same. Maybe some local cheese from the local Cows creamery and other local products would make it more boutique like. As I travel often and feel like the staff was very nice and helpful they even gave us a lovely bottle of wine and some snacks in our room for our special trip. The only things I can mention is that more attention to cleaning would be nice. Like the corners of the bathrooms and exit door etc. Some attention should be giving to looking up and down like light fitting and corners bad cobwebs etc. we traveled in October so it was low season with lovely weather. Overall I would recommend this location.

Overall great stay. They think of the small things that normal hotels don’t care about (water in the fridge, better coffee option, good toilet paper) small things like this go a long way for a stay.
The bedding I found to be extremely well kept and clean and that is a big plus. The coffee, tea and cookies were a nice treat to tuck in before bed after a late night! Staff definitely seemed to be overwhelmed but I think this was a busy weekend in general.

Wonderful Hotel with a great location. We checked in early but our room wasn’t quite ready. They took our bags and all our Checkin information and after a little sightseeing our room was ready. They gave us a wonderful suggestion for dinner that was within walking distance. The breakfast in the morning was also great. Lots of options and perfect for a traveller on the go. We would stay here again. One of the best parts of our stay was Happy hour, where you get to meet a few of the other guest. It was awesome.

This is a unique hotel, in a historic house, with period furniture, in the downtown core of Charlottetown, easy walk to restaurants and cafés just a block or two away. Great breakfast buffet (included with room) in the fantastic sunny living room, with fireplace lit in fall and winter. Great staff.
Free parking right in yard behind. We have come here a few times, and will come back.

Loved the privacy of the room. It was clean and stocked with towels but would’ve been nice for toiletries like tooth paste and hygiene products. Fireplace and music were turned on, setting the mood as you walked through the door. The only issues we found were the patio door being very difficult to open, as well as it backs onto the hotel parking, making it unwelcoming to sit outside. The complimentary breakfast was lackluster, mostly various breads and pastries. Staff were welcoming and very hospitable and they were a pleasure to deal with. Definitely would return for a longer stay, and take advantage of the spa and room service options.

We walked into the lobby and it transported us into another world. The lobby was filled with guests relaxing and enjoying happy hour! The rooms are well appointed, comfy bed and incredible attention to detail. Breakfast was delish and loved that there was a section for gluten free including a dedicated toaster. Close to many great restaurants. Would have loved to see what the rooms in the other connected historic buildings looked like. The staff is attentive and welcoming. This hotel is the AHMAZING!!

This was our second time staying at the Great George in Charlottetown. As was the first, our stay was terrific. We received a room in one of the stand alone buildings on the property, all connected by a convenient and wonderful courtyard. Our room was peaceful and spacious and we also had a balcony so we were able to sit outside at night and enjoy the evenings. This is a historic and beautifully maintained property and our first choice for stays in Charlottetown. The staff are all incredibly helpful and pleasant as well.

We recently stayed at the Great George for a 2 day stop on our Maritime vacation. The Great George is indeed “great”. It exceeded all of my expectations. From the friendly and helpful staff at checkin and check out to the superb free breakfast, home made cookies and free drink at happy hour, this hotel has it all. It is clean and the rooms are amazing! High end hotel that is still quaint and cozy and doesn’t nickel and dime you on all the little things as many other hotels do. Conveniently located to everything downtown Charlotte. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area

This block of historic homes has been beautifully preserved with just a touch of modern convenience. The location is perfect. The only negative is the parking but you have to consider when the area was built we didn’t have cars! Lol
