It was very good and friendly.

Nice hotel, just a short walk to town centre for bars and restaurants.

The room was very big and clean.
Two beds pushed together that would pull apart in the night. The furniture on the outside of the bed, didn’t seem to fit the bed. Could reach one bedside table but the other was too far away as the 2 beds kept moving.
The sockets on one side of the bed would pop out, so had to make sure my charger was on the other side.
Strange to have a punchbag hanging in the middle of the room but it used up some of the wasted space.
Unfortunately not a lot to do in Remscheid. Last train from Cologne / Solingen is around 12.00am
The food and service in the restaurant downstairs was good.
Train station was 3 minutes walk.
There were a few cafe bars around the back of hotel and a main shopping street and shopping centre with Aldi as well as lots of other shops.
I contacted the hotel about reception as was worried due to previous reviews. They replied quickly and there is 24 hours reception.
However outside the front door there is a check in/out machine, so not sure when this would be used.
Lifts are a little rocky and there is a damp type smell when you get out of the lift but this smell is not in the room.
All in all, the hotel is good if you know the area where you are staying but just a little too far out from Cologne for me.

Everything was actually good, accept for the cleaning of the room. It wasn’t bed but it could be better. The only thing that could have improved was the cleaning of the floor in the bedroom.
The walls could in the bathroom could also be done better.
Still we had a good experience

I arrived late at night and everywhere was closed up. I call the intercom and only German was spoken. I finally found the self check in machine, which was hidden around a corner and totally not lit, so the flash light on my cell phone came in handy. When I got to the room, it was very hot with no AC, but the windows did open, so you had a choice, hot and quite or cooler and noisy. I went for the later. Downstairs is a brewery so beer was good. Breakfast was nothing special, but adequate, clean and fresh. I found the bed really hard and I’m glad I was there only 3 nights. No carpet, only wood floors which I thought could have been mopped more often. The bathroom was nice and the shower was good. No welcoming bottle of water, or safe in the room. Room did have exercise mat and other workout equipment.

pictures show work out equipment - which is only in queen (or larger) rooms. Single room only had that rack wall. No weights (which it was supposed to have). Entry to hotel is dark and not really inviting.

Booked 5 rooms, as the check in system was automated, only one of us were able to get a room key. Leaving 4 of us stranded. Seems like the atuo check in system are out of cards. Payment couldn't be made, no card issued. We tried all ways to contact but nobody pick up our calls. Please refund the 4 rooms.

Very convenient to the train station. Terrific place at an incredibly reasonable price. Breakfast is a bit overpriced for what is available but otherwise, wonderful.

The hotel was plesant enough but quirky: the room had exercise equipment in it (including a punch bag) but no wardrobe or place to hang you clothes.

Nice sporty hotel, but not very flexible staff.
Although the Website says that the breakfast time is from 6 in the morning and although we were many triathletes for a competition, who wished their breakfast earlier, the staff was not flexible enough to serve the breakfast earlier than 7am in a Saturday.

room has gym equipment in the room - only 2 English news channels available on TV,Hotels .com advised in description that there was Air con - there was none in any room , also that there was bowling room in hotel , there is not one , the hotel food is very good and own micro brewery very good , nice outdoor space good location for local shopping and meals ... very very modern , our room had yoga equipment books and also a punch bag and cycle ... very big rooms

This hotel is easy to find, being right in the centre of town on the main road. I was on a business trip with a colleague, and our rooms had been very recently renovated, so were in excellent condition. We were surprised and amused to find gym equipment in the rooms, including a punchbag and gloves, wallbars, exercise bike and floor mat! We only had breakfast in the hotel, having arrived too late for dinner, but there was a good selection of meats, cheeses etc, with some hot food (which unfortunately wasn't very hot). Many rooms are still under renovation - the first floor is still a building site - but if they are finished to the same standard as those already completed this will be an excellent hotel. Oh, and the local beer went down very easily!

Hotel was being refurbished with no bar or restaurant facility which we were not advised about in advance. Lots of workmen making it difficult to get the lift. We were on the 8th floor with windows that fully opened with no restraints. Room contained gym equipment which was a bit odd.

The hotel was conveniently located near the Remscheid train station and was a short walk to get to town, restaurants and pubs. I was very surprised by the price of the breakfast and would suggest asking about it upon check in. It was at least three times more expensive than it should have been. I am also disappointed that the internet service was not included in the room rate, but that is typical of most European hotels. It seems like such a simple perk to offer business travelers.
