Overall it’s a good hotel. Service was good. Breakfast was excellent. However, the elevator is a bit dirty. I think it’s also being used as a freight elevator. Lastly, behind our room is Highway 15 and it does get a bit noisy at times.

Two day stay. It was a family trip. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfasts was delicious. The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent customer service and rooms super clean. My girls enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi amazing and clean.

Service was great, all employees were kind and attentive. Room worked out well, just a few kinks. The mini fridge was unbalanced and was teetering when touched, and the shower drain seemed to not be doing a sufficient job as the water was going down the drain to keep it from standing in an inch of water. So little tidbits that make me feel petty and really had no effect on our stay, overall we were very happy with the room.

Could not easily get to the hotel due to a mass amount of cars in line for various fast food places. Also lot of people parked in the hotel parking lot hanging out in their cars and truck partying late into the night. Also ac unit in room was really loud rattling sounds and made it hard to sleep.

**Review for Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites San Diego-Escondido, an IHG Hotel**
I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites San Diego-Escondido, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The hotel appears rundown, and the air conditioning in our room was not functioning properly, making our stay uncomfortable. On a positive note, the location is convenient and situated in a good area, which made accessing nearby restaurants and amenities quite easy.

The breakfast person/ staff was rude. I requested the room to be checked due to ants in the closet and restroom on Saturday am. I returned Saturday nite to find there were still ants after the front desk said they would address it. I have pictures and videos as proof

The room I was in was 117 and it was very noisy as the elevator the ice machine and the door were all right next to it if there were someway to add some blocking to the wall the bed was on which was the wall across from the elevator it would have been better. I’m A sound sleeper so once I got to sleep it was okay but it was a little noisy in the morning as people were leaving and somewhere leaving at six and seven in the morning at night as people were coming in between nine and 11. The staff forwarned me at Check in that the room was noisy

We could not get into the hotel paking lot because of the line of cars at In and Out Burger.

The outside of the property is well maintained and clean. Upon checking in I found out the elevators were not working. As soon as i went into my room 224 it smelled of raw sewage. It smelled like a toilet had backed up. I used the restroom and the toilet would not flush at all. Like the water was turned off. The light switches in the bathroom are shattered so no back plate. Just a dangling switch. I feel like i was given a room that was closed for maintenance. This has happened multiple times when booking with Expedia. Maybe they hate expedia.

Not great, not bad. One of the better priced hotels in Escondido. Noisy guests, rooms not too soundproof. Elevator broke down while we were here this time. Traffics by Del Taco and In-and-Out is challenging to navigate to get in and out of the hotel property. Staff is nice, property is just above average.

The staff was very friendly and it was very well lit in the parking lot. I felt very safe getting to and from my room. I accidentally left my key card in the room and locked myself out and I was very pleased with the staff and how they verified, my identity before giving Me new key card. Excellent, and I will stay here again.
