Hotel is undergoing a full renovation. Roofers were above my room till 645 pm.
There is no jetted tub rooms in this hotel. Do not believe the ad no fire alarms in room which is major violation. I did not get the refund I should have for rooms with shower only

They were remodeling the rooms all around ours so it was very loud. Both days we stayed we heard banging, pounding, and loud voices from early morning til 6 pm. There was no usable fitness center, no refrigerator or microwave. I feel we were lucky that we had the complimentary breakfast because that was the only advertised perk available. Very disappointing! We will never stay at a Holiday Inn Express again.

Very clean hotel and great breakfast. Looks like the hotel is doing remodeling. It would have been nice to know the hot tub was not working at all. We were still able to swim in the pool but we really wanted a hot tub to relax from our day at Mount Rushmore.
The housekeeping staff was amazing ! Very helpful when my mom got locked out of the room.

Booked a room with a jetted tub two weeks in advance. Got a call less than 2 hours before check in saying they don't have that anymore. Oh well, we thought the hot tub would work for a substitute. We were never told then or at check in that the hot tub was closed for maintenance; only found out later. What a disappointment.

We were disappointed to discover that the fitness center was not available since the property is under renovation.
After a few contacts with the front desk we were told that we would be able to get into the fitness center, even though portions of it were being used as a store-room -- which was good, but the condition of the machines was horrible. I hope that the renovations will include replacing all of the equipment there.
The room was okay - but not more - there were exceedingly few outlets available so that we had to unplug a lamp and the clock in order to connect laptops, etc.
With everyone travelling with so many electronics today - a room should have at least 3-5 available outlets. Additionally, the coffee maker should have an outlet for itself - not that I have to figure out where to plug it in and then to share the outlet with my laptop.
Breakfast barely rates an okay - the bagels, bread, etc. were stale, the eggs and potatoes unappetizing. There was no hot cereal - not even instant -- We have seen breakfasts that were way, way better.
Sadly, if we return to the area we will stay someplace else.

The property was nice and clean but the construction was kind of a pain. Didn't like that housekeeping was knocking on our door and barging in at 9 on the day we checked out.

The property was clean, the staff was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast service was efficient, the area was clean and the choices were most welcome.

Amenities were nice in the Executive Suite. House keeping was lacking. The restroom was not cleaned, otherwise the room was tidy. Equipment in the fitness center needs maintenance or replacement. The water tank in the fitness center was empty. Public restroom was filthy, although maybe I checked it out between cleanings. Yikes.

The hotel was great. When we asked about the pool and the hot tub we were told it was currently closed. Right away they upgraded us to the executive suite with a private hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms were also very clean. The breakfast bar has a great variety, the area was well maintained and the staff working in that area were amazing! We arrived right before they were suppose to close and they didn’t rush us. There is so much to choose from and the whole breakfast room was immaculate.
