Fabulous hotel in the center of everything. Hot tubs were a lovely touch, would stay here again!

Second stay here, property is clean well maintained and rooms are nice. However the staff which on our last stay were a highlight, on this stay were disinterested and generally not helpful

This is the perfect hotel for arriving by shuttle from Calgary. The bus stop is behind the hotel. The staff was friendly, and they will hold your bags for you if you arrive before check-in time. Clean and comfortable beds. Walkable to everything you need.

Perfectly situated in the heart of the town of Banff. The hotel lobby always had fresh flowers, and cold water ready for guests coming and going. The rooms were updated and very clean and the beds were very comfortable. A great central hotel experience!

Probably time for a rennovation. Surprised how much street noise you could hear in the room. Good location though. Parking a bit of a pain.

There is only one usb port can work near the night stand.

Enjoyed our stay at Mount Royal. About the most centralized location you could ask for in downtown Banff (close to all the restaurants and bars). Parking is free and first come/first serve. We didn’t have any issues finding spots even with 6-7 PM returns some nights. It’s about 45 minutes to Lake Louise (shuttles) FYI. Rooftop with hot tubs could’ve been better. Nice feature - guess we just expected more of a bar/happy hour scene up there. Overall - we thought this was the best bang for our buck in downtown Banff.

Room was very nice. Only issue was the mattress, which had an obvious collapse of one area creating a “hole”. This issue was brought to the hotel’s attention when we checked out. Great location in Banff.

The location can’t be beat. Simply step out the front door and you’re immersed in the charm that is Banff Ave. Super helpful to have complimentary parking. Room was comfortable and clean. Shower showing signs of age, but nothing unacceptable.

The hotel is conveniently located on the main street with easy access to shops, restaurants and transport. The hotel room had a view of one of the mountains surrounding Banff which is was a great backdrop for our stay in the room.

July 9, 2024 after checking-in seeing the route we had to take and then our room along with it’s great views I went back to the front desk made an inquiry. The front desk clerk (Catlin/Catherine) told me that I booked a ‘Heritage’ room on-line and not directly with the hotel. Since my on-line booking was at a discount no changes could be made. “Just to be clear if I had booked directly with this hotel my accommodations would have been different and you could make a change?” She replied: Absolutely! “Good to know I’ll definitely pass this on.” I totally do not recommend doing business with Mount Royal Hotel and any of their affiliates.
