The service and employees were exceptional - kind, friendly, helpful, professional, etc...And the hotel and rooms were clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and I LOVED that the rooms were not stuffy or overheated. Granted, this was Marquette in December. Yet, even in the UP in the winter, some hotel rooms are just too hot.
We did have a couple of issues which one should be aware of if they book a stay here. The first is there is no elevator in this hotel. So, if you have mobility issues or have heavy luggage, you may want to request a 1st floor room. We did not know this upon booking. It wasn't a big deal for us. But I can see that it may cause an issue for some if they are not aware.
The other issue we had was our room faced the highway which was noisier than we are used to. So, if you like quieter rooms, I would suggest asking for a room which faces the parking lot.
Keep in mind, this is older than other hotels in the area, so the walls and doors are not as sound-proofed.
All-in-all, it was a good value. And, ultimately, I would prefer an older hotel with thinner walls and a little noise that is clean with comfortable beds and has wonderful staff than a newer hotel without that.

We took a family trip to hike and swim. Unfortunately the pool was so cold we could not even use it. We brought it to the hotels attention and got the run around. We intended to get a room someone where else if the pool would not be fixed in time for use (we stayed 4 days) and we kept getting wishy washer answers. We never were able to fully use the pool. A major let done for a family trip with a 5 year old that just wants to swim.

The outside looks dated, the inside is modern in front lobby. Room was spacious, bed comfy, bathroom small. Stayed three nights and never heard a peep from staff or house keeping. The breakfast food was the usual, but good. Friendly staff lady overseeing the eating area.

Friendly staff & very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the location & close proximity to all Marquette has to offer. The AC unit gave off a musty smell that wasn’t very pleasant, but it kept our room cool.

The room was nice and great bed and pillows .. went to swim at 7 and pool hours are 7-10pm and a guy was cleaning the pool for a hour and waited and waited so I ate don’t recommend pool area there as the hot tub was extremely hot and pool was cold as ice ..

Overall getting around the building was challenging. Hallways was small, hot, and smalled of wet carpet. Only amazing part was the lady who took care of breakfast!

We actually ended up not staying here because the room they put us in had black mold everywhere. It was a handicap accessible room so the entire bathroom was tile and I have severe asthma and was not able to stay here. They were supposed to provide a refund and have not done so.

Seemed very clean, you could tell it had been updated. Our room smelled damp the minute we walked in and the carpet was damp! Immediately was less impressed! Should have laminate floors, cleaner environment.

Not a scenic area. Good for passing thru town type visits. Felt safe enough to walk the dog in the near area.

This hotel has gone downhill since we last stayed here a few years ago. It is run down and not as clean as it was. The beds are comfortable but the bedding is way too short. There were no fresh toiletries in the room. The front desk staff was rude. No business center or elevator so if you need those, stay elsewhere. I guess the irony of a hotel named Quality Inn, whose sign behind the front desk is crooked, should tell you something.

Staff is amazing both on reception and in breakfast room. Lady that works with breakfast was there all the time ready to help and making sure all items of hot breakfast and others are in place. Nice breakfast. Nice room. Definitely will stay again. Special thank you to the staff!

The room smelled very damp. The carpet in our room was very dirty, my children’s hands, knees and feet were black after crawling on the floor for just a few minutes.

The staff were wonderful. The breakfast was hot and fresh. Basic breakfast offerings, but the waffles were a hit with our family. I would note there are no elevators. Didn’t bother us at all because there are only two floors. The hotel did have a bit of a pet smell but you can tell they clean and try to keep up with that. The hot tub wasn’t working and was basically a warm pool but that didn’t bother us either.

Great stay with kids, the breakfast team were so great and kept everything filled to up. Pool was warm and enjoyable for all ages. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Pretty run down and smelled like pet urine. Not the best. We have an EV and they have a charger but the cord is too short to reach a car (sort of silly!). It was fine for the couple nights we stayed but probably would select somewhere different for next time.
