Property was under renovations so there were boxes all over the lobby, hallways, and breakfast area. No employees at the desk at night so a guy on a video call helped. Reserved a room with 2 beds, they gave me one with a single king. Surprisingly, they just left the key on the counter behind the video call screen which anyone could've taken and used. Carpets, walls, and bathroom were all very dirty and the elevator didn't work. Very disappointing considering I could've booked a hotel down the road for cheaper, but decided that pricepoint must've been for a very low quality hotel. I was wrong.

The bathroom has been dirty with some blood and hair by the bathtub and hair in the sink. We were tired with my son after the long drive so I did not complain but we rather did not take a shower. The receptionist was very nice and the hotel is undergoing remodeling so I give them a benefit of doubt. Should we stay more than just overnight I would definitely complain and demand the change of the room.

My advice would be to close this property down. There was no one at the desk at check in, had to ring a bell, like in the early 1800s. The whole property, inside and out, was filthy. There was no WiFi, the TV didn't work. Whoever had the room next to mine apparently had a TV that worked, because they played it at top volume throughout the night. If I hadn't been so exhausted from selling at a 2-day fair nearby, there is no way I would have stayed there. I was up most of the night checking on my car and contents because I felt like it was in a place that could easily have been broken into. The ONLY positive was that the sheets and pillow cases were clean and smelled clean, like they'd been bleached, thank goodness. It's hard to believe this hotel is allowed to operate under these conditions. Do not stay here, drive away.

The room had a non working AC and half the light bulbs were missing and it was terribly maintained and filthy, Black Mold was everywhere in the bathrooms and they made an attempt to paint the old plastic bathtubs but half of it had peeled off in both rooms. So they gave us a different room which was no better as far as dirty and all other previous issues were present,but the AC did work a little, it was too late to find another hotel and we were tired so we dealt with it. I complained to the staff and their response was we are in remodeling stage and you’re lucky to get a room for what you paid. So unprofessional. There were boxes of shower enclosures along side the building that the cardboard was molded and falling apart they had been out there so long. I looked at their website and for the past 3.5 years people had complained about the same things we encountered so remodeling must have stopped then and they use that as an excuse and are a disgrace to all Wingates we ever stayed at. The staff could not have been more rude and I would not recommend that place to homeless people much less paying patrons. Worst experience we have ever encountered.

The toilet was not clean and delivered with stain/mold like mark in the lavatory. The walkway to the rooms were also not so well maintained. The morning breakfast was a disappointment too. We had to find someone to help us with refil and it didnt feel fresh..no milk was there

Peeling paint in tub, nasty carpet which is being replaced but very slowly. Pool was cloudy and chlorine was strong. Not enough breakfast for all guests. Room smelled like a basement. Mold on shower curtain. Close to the lake so that is nice.

I was surprised that that beautiful hotel I've stayed at several times was so run down. But, the rooms themselves were clean . The lobby and hallways were very run down. The back lawn was beautiful the last time I stayed there but looked like a hay field now. It hadn't been mowed. The pool was mirky water so I didn't dare swim in it. It is under renovation so I understand that and I will stay again and give them another chance. Oh, and the hall lighting was dark and the lights were flickering.

The staff was friendly and kind. However, the hotel was in poor condition. It was visibly dirty. We asked for new bedding because there were obvious brown stains on comforter and sheets. Room service said they had just changed bedding and those were makeup stains. The pillows were yellow (did not lay my head on them). The tub was discolored; need resurfacing , shower curtain rod coming apart from the wall, and the water not draining fast enough in the shower. The hotel is going through a renovation project but guests need to know this beforehand. It should be closed renovations; conditions are that bad. For the cost of the room I expected much better!

Would not recommend to anyone.

First room assigned was not cleaned at 3:00 pm and May not be ready until the next day. “Could we still use the room”, This was room 221. Got a new room, 319, air conditioner plug started sparking and had flames. AC made loud bang and shut down. I pulled the plug and attempted to call front desk. Room phone not working. Called on cell phone. Was told nothing they could do. We should be safe. Smoke was in room. No rooms available. Lamps on bedside table mad sparking noise. Plugs on lamp caused phone charger to get hot. Room fridge and microwave made loud noises all night. We left at 4:30 am. I was charged over $450 and no feduced rate. This is what it is like when remodeling. Wyndham should be ashamed of this hotel and destroy it.

The hotel is currently under renovation. I believe my room has benefited from some of the efforts, but possibly (hopefully) not all. The staff was nice and competent, but I found spoiled food in my refrigerator which made me question he effectiveness of he housekeeping staff. As a result, I did not make use of the soaking tub in my room. The bed was hard. I have slept on floors that were more comfortable and I like a firm bed. My first floor room didn't just overlook the parking lot, I had a car parked a couple of feet away from my window. It was very disconcerting.

They are working on it so I understand. Breakfast could be better have eggs and sausage!

We were not aware that it was under construction when we booked our room, and our room had not been renovated. The tile in the bathroom had multiple cracks, the floor was very stained and dirty, the bottom of the shower was peeling up, the receptacles did not work and the room was very outdated. The receptionist was VERY rude at check-in.

Construction is going on but that happens but was quiet hotel and a good restaurant right down the road mason jar.

This hotel was under construction with huge containers boxes wooden crates of tile all over the place and the carpeting. The old carpeting was awful.

The hotel was under construction during our stay but livable. This hotel is under new ownership so certain upgrade processes are to be expected. Overall the stay was convenient for what we needed (centrally located to all the locations we visited this weekend).

Hotel was being remodeled when i stayed there. A few things were inconvenient but it was also quiet and peaceful and the staff was nice.

Key card did not work. Lady at the front desk had to come up each time I left my room and let me in. Bathroom had hairs all over it. Skip this one.

The property is undergoing a remodel. The halls were a mess. Ceiling tiles were out of place, and the security lock had been removed from our door. The room itself was clean, and the staff did get us a new room with a lock. Wouldn’t recommend in its current state!

The heat/ac unit was nice and quiet. Room was comfortable and clean.

The staff was attentive and nice, but that’s the only positive thing. The whole thing, from the hallway to the room, was run-down: dirt on the carpet, on the elevator walls, awful smell in a room (we had to ask for another one), the bathtub looked so old and unclean I didn’t dare to take a shower, my lady was uncomfortable changing clothes because anyone on the street can see through transparent curtain on the ground floor, Coffee for breakfast was bad quality.
