Ok for a weekend, got what we wanted. A bit wierd with all the corridors, but ok with signs on the wall. Tried to call the hotel during friday evening, since we did not manage to get into te room. No answer, and when I went to the reception the employee just sat there eating. Also during chechout, even when I showed the receipt for my pre payment, I was asked to pay once more. Guess that was because the employee was new at the job. Sent my receipt to their e-mail and have not heard anything back, wich confirms that my payment was ok all the time.

Wonderful stay in this hotel with free parking and close to the city centre (20mn walk). We did not take the breakfast at the hotel. We recommend this hotel

The staff was great. I enjoyed the large fitness room and the large variety of equipment. It is almost a full gymnasium. The room was large and comfortable. I do miss not having a mini fridge in the room.

nice place. no kettle and sadly no english TV but room clean and easy parking. Ate nearby at an italian which was nice and easy walk. its quite a way out of town but i was only staying for convenience. Breakfast was ok but not worth the price.

WIFI signal in lower floor was poor.
When we tried the WIFI in the room it was not working, realize the room had a WIFI range extender, had to unplug the WIFI range extender (blackbox plug into an outlet in the hall) to be able to use the WIFI.
Other than that the property, service, and parking was excellent.

Our room was at the far end of the extension block and pretty remote from the reception desk and the hotel car park. A bit of a problem if you have a few suitcases tow along. Parking is free and undercover. The hotel is at the city periphery and you need to take a bus to go into town centre. Bus frequency is half-hourly. Because of the location of the room WiFi was out in the evening and at night when a lot of hotel guests were using WiFi at the same time. It worked alright in the morning. The room was more like an apartment with 2 double-bed rooms, a large bathroom, a pantry (no utensils though) and a small living room.

Italienische Restaurants in der Hotel, super gut ! Schöne Aussicht über Mainz.
Lokalisation: etwas weit von alles.

Room did not match the description on Hotels.com. The staff informed me that if I want a room matching the description is 20 Euro extra per night. The WiFi is turned off every night at around 00:30. There is a problem with credit card payment the hotel staff said "we prefer cash rather than a credit card". The hotel is a random maze of corridors, and locations of all facilities are not clearly marked so you need to spend several minutes every day looking for the fitness centre or reception.

This is a nice hotel up to Best Western standards. The room was very spacious. There isn’t much around where the hotel is but it’s a 10 minute walk to the train station and not far from the centre of town.

I frequently use the Best Western for business travel. Hotel staff are very friendly and service is great. Breakfast is good and there are many options. There is no hotel bar and its a little isolated in that regard. The Italian adjoining the hotel serves great good though.

This is our second booking at the Best Western Mainz, because it is 5 minutes walk from family. On this occassion, we booked so that we could attend a family funeral. We had to postpone our stay, because of changes to the date of the funeral. The staff at the hotel were fantastic in working with Hotels.com and us to make the change of dates possible. We look forward to actually staying again, because they have been so understanding.

never ever book a room in the first floor!! I dont know about conditions of other rooms but never accept any of the first floor... very uncomfortable and very old.

Picked this property for my family specifically because it had Air Conditioning. We needed 2 rooms for my family, but only had AC unit in one and it barely worked.

My room was spotless, and the hotel provided an excellent breakfast, as well as a very decent computer hooked up to a printer in the main lobby for printing boarding passes etc. It wasn't the easiest to get to on foot from the train station, but taxis were plentiful and quick (ranged between 6 and 8 Euros to the station). My only complaint was that although the room had an air conditioner, it was pretty ineffective and I was uncomfortably hot every single night in the middle of September.

The hotel is on the hill side and 10~15 min walk from Mainz HBF. If you walk from station with heavy luggage, it will not be a good idea. The room size is big, however the view outside is not that attractive.

The only complaint, which is pretty minimal, is that the Wifi was weak in the room. Otherwise everything was perfect!
