Underwelming to say the least…

We arrived and found that the bedding was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been changed. Spoke with front desk who than brought us clean bedding that we had to change ourselves. Poor customer service and very unexpected with the cost of the place. I expected better!

Loved the age and history of the property. Rooms very clean and nice. The restaurant on the site made very relaxing.

Nice 1921 place on the river. All spaces have very good dimensions.

Amazing property and stay. Beds were SO comfortable! We left a cell phone and they called us and we were able to retrieve it prior to leaving the area.

The hotel, staff, and location are excellent. But they do need an improvement on the food that they serve in their restaurant.

Stately old building mostly beautiful gardens. Need more staff. And please loose the old bad carpets, dust. But bathrooms were very nice and clean . Staff was very pleasant.

Beautiful historic property in an incredible setting. The gardens and sitting areas are lovely. Some of the place and grounds are showing their age, but the rooms are clean, the hotel is charming and service was good. Beautiful place for an evening with memorable views.

Beautiful hotel- beautiful grounds. Nice new upgrades/renovations to the rooms. Wish there was dinner on the patio- spectacular view! Same for coffee cart and breakfast in the morning- with such beautiful grounds, pity there’s not more food service.

Historic hotel overlooking Riverview and beautiful waterfall. 100 plus year old facility with a unique old elevator serviced by a staff member. Very different and cool. Great patio for drinks in the evening and great grounds. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good value for a step back in history

The area is beautiful. The only negative is that because of the age of the building it has a musty smell. Its a bit strong and hard to get passed it.

Loved the old-fashioned man-operated elevator!! Didn't like that the menu says they serve eggs benedict for breakfast.....but they actually don't serve it :(

The hotel was built in 1921, so it has a charm and style of an older design, with a nice interior including a lounge inside near the front desk. There is also a restaurant in the hotel building, which is a convenient place to get something to eat. The restaurant also provides room service. The room we stayed in was clean, and windows can be opened for fresh air, although road noise from I-84 could be heard from inside our room. Since it's an older hotel, you can see where some of what looks like older infrastructure (such as visible pipes in the closet, etc.), things appeared to be remodeled, such as conduits along some of the walls going to some power outlets, etc. It has its charm. The bathroom was modern, looking like it had been remodeled relatively recently compared to the overall building. Also, the room where we stayed had a refrigerator, but we had to look for it before realizing the refrigerator was in the closet. Also, the hotel is located conveniently near I-84.

Absolutely gorgeous and rich with history! The whole atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. I have never slept more comfortably after a long drive. Mischa checked me in and she was extremely friendly, as well as, full of knowledge about the property.

Loved the scenic views overlooking Columbia River and enjoyed the historic building and grounds. Staff friendly and helpful. Wonderful ambience and fine dining with attentive service. Would advise you to select room on river side as traffic from highway is loud and ongoing, unless you’re a deep sleeper or wear earplugs. Take into consideration the hotel is historic and anticipate its older bones. Room had comfortable king size bed and nice amenities like robes. Second time staying there and glad we did.

You feel like you a prince to in a castle. The waterfall plus the posh staff express luxury. Take a walk on the property and find multiple places to sit and observe the beauty at hand. Baby ducks to flock to over a bridge that plummets to the earth below. Sorry my girlfriend and I stayed here after hours of an audio book;)

Have been to Hood River a lot and have always wanted to stay here. So glad we did.

The grounds were beautiful. The room was spacious, clean and very nice. The staff were so nice and helpful. Great sty.

It is located right on the Columbia river with amazing views. And a Great service staff.

Perfect last day of our Yellowstone trip!

Beautiful grounds and area. Return trip after 10 years honeymoon stay. Wait staff in dinning area were excellent. Close to town, but far enough away to feel a bit secluded.

I wish I could have given the hotel a better rating. It was a cute place but I was so put off by the construction going on outside our room that we were not told about prior to arrival or when we checked in. Went to our room to relax after traveling all day and had to listen to saws running and excessive noise For hours. Then Saturday morning construction workers were there again. Very disappointed

Beautiful grounds, unique historic hotel, friendly staff —even an adorable welcome bag (with cute bandana, water dish, treats and poo bags!) for our doggo. Beautiful rooms, nice dining, art deco decor. Special!
