All of the perks hotels.com listed I could receive as a gold member do not even exist at this hotel. Late checkout costs money, they checked us in even later than the advertised room, and we had to pay for our room upgrade (so I know an upgrade was available). The "suite" we upgraded into was just a slightly larger hotel room with an awkward spot where there could be a seating area but there was no furniture. Additionally, the shower wand had to be manually held because the latching mechanism did not work. The check in process was extremely chaotic and the hotel was not a good use of 200$.

My two teenage children and I stayed in a triple-room for a single night last week. We booked it online as soon as we arrived in Nice. The elevator was typically tiny, as was the "lobby" area :) The price was fair -- the room was small, but had a fridge and room for all 3 of us. The room/bathroom were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room's AirCon wasn't cooling well which, on our way out immediately after check-in, we mentioned to the kind woman in charge. When we returned five hours later, the room was appreciably freezing and we'd been provided a fan. Outstanding response and service. 10% discount on coffee/drinks next door at HUG was nice. Location was great, smack in the center of everything in Nice and a short walk from the tram stop. Will book again next time we are in town. Since it can be crucial, I'll repeat: The staff were all lovely.

Hotel De Centre is a very nice hotel right in the middle of everything in Nice, great location and all major attractions are a 20 minute walk or less. You are on the main street 20 minutes from the beach. Nice Ville train station is less than a 10 minute walk if you want to go to Monaco or Cannes. Customer service at the hotel was amazing, everybody was very friendly and accomodating. The rooms are a little small and there are additional charges added on if you want to check in early or check out late

The property was good but very small room for 4 and quiet expensive

AC did not run continuosly. Water scorching hot/cold Poorly maintained.

Functional hotel very good location very helpful staff

Two days stay in busy Nice, very fine, tiny hotel, got one of few rooms with balcony. Very friendly staff. Close to one of the city’s proud churches, ringing the church bell from early hours.

Hands down , the staff is the best. The front desk is open 24/7, and there's no problem if you come a little late for check in from your previous adventure. The clerk took time to explain everything about the hotel and how i can save money on parking and dining. Amenities are a little old, but very well kept. For the price like that in a high season, it is a steal.

Very friendly staff and great location

Brilliant location in the heart of Nice, walking distance to the beach, old town & the port, train station is close by and easy to get the train to Monaco. Hotel staff were very helpful & friendly. Rooms were small but clean and perfect for what we needed. Tram station to get to the airport is close by too and takes you straight to the airport.

Very clean - the rooms were "tight" to say the least. Wish the sound on the TV were better - difficult to hear.

The people were very helpful. The hotel was centrally located to all areas of interest. The room was a bit too small for two beds.

Lovely little hotel tucked away but in a great location for exploring Nice especially the Old Town and only 10 mins walk to the train station to travel along the coast to Antibes or Monaco at a very reasonable price. Staff were very warm and friendly but still professional. The Hug coffee shop next door is a little gem with great coffee and cake as well as offering a delicious ‘petit dejeuner’ and the bonus is you get a discount as a hotel resident and again lovely friendly service.

Location is close to the center and easy to walk to places close by, however it is sometimes it’s loud at night. Room floor was a bit dusty and the air conditioner kept turning off

Unbeatable location with a view of the cathedral! The staff is very attentive & friendly, and the room was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. They even provide pocket WiFi free of charge, which was extremely helpful during a week long stay!

Did a last minute check in and I was quickly accommodated. Great for a quick trip.

Hotel could not have been better. Such a beautiful area, less than 10 minutes walk to the train station, eat breakfast while looking at the cathedral, and attached to a cafe with a ton of gluten free options. The staff were also all so absolutely lovely and helpful, every single one went above and beyond. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Very well located in the center of town. Staff was very nice and friendly. Room was well appointed. But overall it felt a bit pricey for what it was.

Amazing service from all employees, they are very kind amd were very helpful with a few problemes I had. They even kept my home keys I forgot at the room after check out.

I choose this hotel because it is centrally located and close to the Nice-Ville train station. When I checked in I was told that I had booked a basic room but I could upgrade to a bigger, nicer room for 10 euros a night which I did. The room was still quite basic and small but it had a view of the Cathedral which was nice. No idea what room I would have gotten had I not upgraded but the one I got was still quite small. I am travelling solo so it was not a problem. Two people in the room would have felt very tight. I was initially worried about the hearing the cathedral bells that go off in the morning but I could barely hear them and was not bothered. Small showers are quite common in older European hotels, but this one was very small. I am a 6'0" 190 lb. man and found it very tight. Not a big deal though. My only real complain about the hotel was that the water temperature in the shower kept fluctuating wildly from scorching hot to freezing and back and it never really let up so you couldn't relax at all in the shower. Staff were very friendly and helpful and even let me borrow a Wi-Fi gadget to walk around with so that I wouldn't have to use data roaming all day.

We had a wonderful stay at this gem of a hotel in Nice. Staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the soundproofing was fantastic. We couldn’t have been happier with the location, either. We had one small issue with our AC not working our first night. The lovely gentleman at the front desk was able to provide us with a fan for the night and the AC was fixed the following day. Thanks for a great experience!
