Been staying here for a few years when working in Liverpool. The venue has always felt a little run down but worth while for price. This stay the hotel feels like it’s had a bit of a spruce up however and much more quiet clientele. Positive improvements

Room smelt like a wet dog had been in there - really very stinky
Toilet was disgustingly dirty
Some light bulbs didn’t work
Be aware the car park is now pay to park
Overall poor even for a campanile ,

Nice welcome, clean and accommodating room but a very tired property with stained walls, doors and carpets. Breakfast good.

Bed not fit for use. Broken furniture.

I had a comfortable stay and the wi fi was very good.

Very basic with thin walls. A motel not a hotel
2.0
It is an extremely basic accommodation which is in need of some updating.
We got there very late and just needed to get our heads down for the night, however the water from the taps ran brown, the bath is the size of a shoe box and the room smelt of a mix of really old cigarettes and mold.
At the end of the day it was cheap accommodation which served a purpose however i would think twice in staying here again.
On a side note the staff are great...

Thanks for the upright drawing pin hidden in the duvet - i found it in advance and ruined your little joke. Your mattress is TOTALLY ruined. Replace it immediately.

The bed base was filthy the mattress didint fit bed .the voil nets were all ripped the floor tiles in bathroom was disguesting the curtains were dirty

Room and reception/restaurant/bar all clean, staff friendly, the only downside was the fact I had to pay parking, there should be free parking for guests, register your vehicle on arrival job do e, anyone parking there without staying there should be dealt with, it's not right charging guests to park especially when they've paid £60 for their room
4.0
Upside, staff friendly and polite. Room was clean, but basic and a little dated. I was not able to access wifi from the room. Served my need for a place to lay my head.
Downside is the fact that the establishment is contactless payments only. Even my half pint was charged to card. Also beware parking is charged by an external company and that is contactless also.

Room was perfectly fine. Bathroom stink of smoke

Very clean hotel and the staff were very accommodating and very friendly. Good value and although it was £10.25 for a full breakfast, there was a good amount/tasty and there was a variety, with cereals, juices, cheese/ham, croissant's, toast and blueberry muffins. Complimentary hot coffees and teas. Having the bar, was a real bonus, croissant's on the doorstep.
The only downside, the mattress was very uncomfortable, with springs sticking into us.
The place does need a makeover, really.
Walkable into Runcorn.
It is noisy with the planes going over, and the trains going past. But that’s not the hotels fault.

Basic accommodation, easy car park, near the train station. Value for money

It was good value

Good value for money. £55 per night for double room. Ideal for contractors and folk just passing through. Staff friendly and very helpful.

As a regular visitor to the hotel I’m a bit perplexed bout something.
On the positive, room’s immaculately clean, cheap and located right next to train station.
Negatively, for the last 4-5 visits the TV wasn’t working. These was random rooms. To be fair on one visit the staff told me I can move took if I wanted to.
Apart from that it’s sound as a pound

I managed to book a room for £46 for one night while visiting friends - for that price the room was an absolute steal!
The room itself was lacking some modernisation in terms of style, but a smart tv was supplied which was a nice surprise!
The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and lovely to chat to.
The room was clean to a degree, but is clearly in need of a revamp.
I am planning on staying here again!

You have what you need!

Dismal surroundings and a hotel that needs a total refurbishment, inside and out. Very tired and run down.
Staff were great but it must be depressing working in that environment.
Rat boxes everywhere on the site!

It is a bit of a peculiar place as it is configured on a 'USA model' such that there are open balconies instead of enclosed hallways (as a frequent visitor to the USA, I should mention that this arrangement seems to have gone out of fashion over the last 10-20 years). It is a bit old but the staff were very friendly and breakfast was fine. My only complaint is that my room overlooked the parking area which was irritating as I didn't bring a car, I would have preferred a room at the rear.

Loved the layout of the accommodation, and the room was spacious. The only downside was the bed was too soft, but overall it was nice

Good value. Short walk to the station, and not far to walk into town. No complaints.

The property needs updating, it is a Budget Hotel.
I had difficulty in getting the shower to work
The staff were very welcoming

I love how cool the room is. No needs for a fan. Very clean and the staff members were friendly. I would visit here again

We loved staying here! Felt very safe and staff was very lovely and easy to contact. Bedrooms were a nice size for the price with a big comfy bed. Private bathroom which looked all nice and clean. We didn’t have breakfast there however from what we saw it looked lovely! Only problem is that its right next to a train station so its abit noisy on a night but nothing awful and definitely nothing that would keep you up at night. Rooms had tv and space for tea and coffee. For the price it’s amazing and would recommend to anyone coming for short stays

The rooms are dated, and mostly clean, but i am picky as i work in hospitality.
The restaurant is laughable, the menu wax a choice of pizzas, a flatbread or a couple of sandwiches. You couldnt even gat a side of chips.
The breakfast was 1 sausage, 1 egg, 1 rasher of bacon, a small pot of warm beans another small pot of microwaved mushrooms and hash brown

Stayed here a few times as a cheap option close to Liverpool. Feel like it’s improved from the last time we were there. Used to be quite loud and run down but no such issues this time. Would stay again based on this visit

This property was one down from pontins. It was really run down and the reception part was like a toilet block. Not nice at all. We were in the middle of a busy trading estate. I’d avoid. Came here with my girlfriend, we won’t be back again!!
6.0
Booked a twin room and was given a double. Not really suitable for a 50 year old mom & her 17 year son. Went back to reception but they only had a double.
