It was one of our better stays. The rate included breakfast located on the rooftop which was very pleasant and the food was good. very good location near the main central park. The room was a little awkward. It had two full beds that were raised on platforms that were so high that they included a step stool to help with getting onto the bed. Shower and hot water was very good. Because of configuration, the room was very tight.

The hotel is very close to Parque Central, so it's very convenient. Only stayed one night, but the staff was very helpful with booking the shuttle to Lake Atitlan the following day and having our clothing washed the same day we arrived. I would recommend it.

I actually loved this hotel! It was beautiful on the inside. The room are charming and they are one of the only hotels with AC. The hotel is near everything and is walking distant from everywhere. I loved our stay! Would definitely come back! :)

Excelent place to stay at in Antigua Guatemala. The rooftop has a beatiful view to the mountains and volcanoes and since I went in Rainy season it was a spectacle to see the clouds covering the mountains. Just as a feedback, the Hotel offered me to pick me up at the airport when I arrived to Guatemala City, which they did and the driver Esteban was very friendly and attentive, the only thing that bothered me just a little bit is that they picked me up an hour later than the agreed time which I understand due to traffic and some other issues but the issue was that they didnt have communication with me while I waited the extra hour, until they finally showed up, but GENERALLY SPEAKING EL CARMEN IS AN EXCELLENT CHOICE TO STAY AT.

I didnt like the staff, zero empathy, really rude and tough with their service and zero customer service too! They didnt provide me either with my parking ticket:( As well the service at the restaurant was terrible!!!! Coffee was cold, every time you requested napkings coffee or water they delayed like 15 minutes. The place safe and quiet

Beautiful property in the heart of the city. It's pristine, well maintained and tastefully decorated. The rooms are very modern and spacious with all the amenities one could hope for. The breakfast was lavish and the view from the terrace is simply breathtaking. The staff are really courteous and they helped prepare the room ahead of schedule so that we could check in before time.
