Room was clean and comfortable, could have done with a towel heater in the bathroom so we had somewhere to put our wet swim wear. Staff very friendly, the meal in the evening was nice and filling. Would look at coming here again.

A few years ago I decided never to stay here again because it's such a big hotel, used by large groups for events. I've had several poor nights sleep here. Last week I thought I'd try again but same experience- a terrible night's sleep - I arrived late and went to my room and went to bed at about 11 pm, but I was woken up FIVE times by groups of people walking past the door, talking loudly on their way to bed and letting their room doors slam when they went in. It's absolutely the worst hotel I stay in for this. Probably fine for heavy drinkers or late-to-beds.

We had a family room for 3 of us & it was comfortable & roomy. The staff were friendly & helpful.

Had a lovely stay rooms were big and clean, the hotel staff were all lovely, facilities were good. Only problem was the restaurant, we went half board and the food was sooo slow, the mains took over an hour to come out and on the second night our burger was cremated and dry and the and chips were bland. The pork belly and ox cheek on the first night were worth the wait though. So a mixed review, we would visit again but just get a takeaway delivered to the hotel probably.

Room was clean; check-in swift however there were two wedding receptions that eve. Prior warning was given and I was asked that if it was too noisy, to come to reception and they would see what they could do about moving me to another room although the hotel was fairly booked for obvious reasons. The main frustration was the fire alarm which was set off at c.22.30 (at which time I was asleep with my child) because a guest had been permitted to set off either a firework or a large candle topper sparkler either in or near the building. The team attended to the incident quickly but it was disappointing that this had happened in the first place. Roughly an hour later, a short sound of fire alarm triggered again and again, waking everyone in the hotel. When asked the reception staff int he morning, they explained no compensation could be given as this was a safety precaution for guests (ok - but not the circumstances giving rise to that) but the second alarm was apparently “routine” Which I do not agree with. I stay at the hotel perhaps 5-6 times a year and whilst I appreciate certain circumstances are beyond control of staff, I would have expected a closer eye be maintained on guests to preserve safety and ensure fireworks etc aren’t lit in/near to the building. I will be re-considering whether I stay here again as I cannot imagine this occurring at nearby and well-known prestigious brand hotels.

Not happy with my stay here due to it not being Clean thats the main issue and also the fire alarm going off at 11pm and then again at 1am so far from pleased with my stay here.

Everything was fine as usual. However, someone in a room close to mine decided to have a party from 00:30 till 03:00. Loud music and voices. Not reported at time as I didn't know which room it was, although I suspect it was room 220 (I was in 218) This is a good hotel, I have stayed here many times, without any problems, and will do so again.

Was a lovely place to stay, clean, friendly staff, only down points where the bathroom, no where to hang a towel, and someone decided to leave their dog in their room and it was howling for two hours, so we couldn’t sleep. We would stay again, but pray people would be more responsible with there dogs.

Greeted with a smile from the receptionist on checking in. She gave us all the relevant information related to our stay; restaurant opening times, leisure facilities and directions to our room. Room was clean and comfortable. Bar area was great, good selection of drinks, food served all afternoon and I presume into the evening too although we ate in the restaurant after 6. All the staff were pleasant and friendly! I would stay here again and hopefully use the pool as we didn’t this time.

We were only using the hotel for sleeping and breakfast but found all the staff in reception, restaurant and cleaning polite and helpful

Hotel was so clean and smelt lovely staff were lovely and very helpful room was lovely the surrounding grounds were well kept will definitely be going back and would definitely recommend we only had breakfast but had lots of choice and tasted nice

The hotel was poor. Windows needed cleaning the games room didn’t have any rests for the snooker table etc making it pointless trying to relax and have a game. General cleanliness was appalling. I asked for a table to be wiped as it was filthy and the person who wiped it missed half the table and it was still mucky! The seating areas were accessed through doors that would then close themselves so you would have to walk around to get back in. The wet room was exactly that and the whole floor got soaked the accessible rails where to far from the toilet to use comfortably. The breakfast was poor and I would not stay here again.

The property is gorgeous and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I liked the sustainability option.

Room was great for a family of four. Beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good and well worth the money. Only slight negative about our stay was we couldn't use the swimming pool. They have restrictions on times for letting children swim.

Lovely stay. Nice surroundings, good facilities, bar restaurant pool and gym, even tennis courts. Friendly helpful staff.

Fabulous one night stay at Eastwood Hall. Room very clean and comfortable. Bar and dining area very comfortable. Good leisure facilities.

Having read some bad reviews we were sceptical, however were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are a good walk from reception and the bar and restaurant, however car park near. Room was clean, bed was reasonably comfortable, shower over bath which was high and with a dodgy hip took some negotiating. There was some room noise from other rooms but happened during the afternoon so did not affect sleep. Has a meal in the restaurant, Kyra very pleasant and helpful. Good choice at breakfast and Jamie did a good job cleaning up the tables. Overall a good stay for the one night.

Good, clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The kids liked the pool (there are only certain times under 18s are allowed in). Dinner service was slow but the food was good.

Lovely welcoming staff on reception. I had a nice big comfortable room. Nice and quiet so a great nights sleep.

Extremely dog friendly with feeding bowls, treats and poo bags in the room. Food was lovely and dogs allowed in large lounge area and patio. Lots of green areas for exercising dogs. Easy access to car park. Immaculate

I’ve stayed at similar conference/event venues before and often found them run-down and shabby. Eastwood Hall is at the other end of the scale and I’ll be staying there in future whenever I’m visiting family in the area.

Bathroom and the pool was run down and a tad dirty but other than that a fantastic place to work and relax
