I thought items for breakfast were not replenished until closing time, 10am.I stayed there 11 days and yet the same person would ask me my room number every morning. My door needed to be closed by banging it which isn't ideal when you arrive at 3.30 am.I asked reception, they were supposed to fix the issue but 3 days later was still not repaired.The bar fridge takes 3 days to have a bottle become cold. The air conditioning shuts off so when you leave for a lengthy period,you come back to a warm room. Air conditioning will take 1 hour to vreturn to reasonable temperature.

Booked a twin bed, got a single and with an attitude they didn’t want to change it. Poor breakfast with a nice view, parking 10€ on site where you have to call them to both going in and going out, very narrow parking space

The Plaza hotel in Catania is a nice hotel closed to the sea but on a very busy street so if you would like to have a sea sight you have to accept some more notice coming from outside. Price is not cheap but it is a 4 star hotel even if it is quite away from downtown but we’ll located if you want to spend the day at the seaside. Seaside is with rocks there so you have special platforms to use for sun bath and swimming . The parking of the hotel is too much expensive according to my opinion as in the surroundings it’s possibile to find free parking so it dose not worth it. In general breakfast was nice not a wide variant of food but mostly complete.

Hotel a bit dated in the rooms but it’s close to a station to get to central Catania. Breakfast excellent with good views. Safe car park but watch out for the very steep slope.

No pool, the beach was a private one that you had to pay to gain access. So dont book it based in the near beach option listed because it is not

all was good....except yhat i was given a room with constricton going all around me. that is not nornal. the hotel should have given me a room on the other side of the hotel like my other 4 colleagues. they did not hear anything. it was only for 1 night so i did not say anything. however o did comment to a very disgrunted reception girl....and instead of appologising she just brushed it off as...."well there is construction...what do u expect" i expect an ansee to this.

Property was well cared for. The exterior had been lit for Christmas which was pretty. The walls were very thin an you could here shower noise and voices of next door guests. There were no bathrobes.

Great location and plenty of restaurants within walking distance . We drove in ..highly recommended that you find out how to get access the underground secured carpark first

We enjoyed our stay, hotel was great and staff very friendly. If you drive and have to park a car, this is a bit more challenging as far as clearances. Getting out of the parking into the merging street is quite " interesting "

Due to the pre-stay charge by the hotel being declined by the credit card company, the hotel cancelled our booking. When we showed up, they no longer had any room in the hotel. So they put us in the apartment nearby. They helped transporting us and our luggage over. The apartment was quite new and nice. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was very good.

Everything was OK, very good hotel to stay, we will comeback next year again.

pros: fabio was very helpful with giving information and tips for restaurants, the hotel was clean, and a nice buffet Cons: wifi was ok, hotel is across the road from the ocean(not a beach) the beach chair and umbrellas are on the 4th floor of the hotel over looking the road and then the ocean, the air conditioning in the room was non existent(even though advertised), after 3 requests to resolve problem, A/C never worked(literally a fan blowing warm air), we were on the 1st floor facing the parking lot and had to keep the windows open at all time(which is very noisy and a little scary). I requested to pay for a room on the ocean side at a higher level but was told there was nothing that would sleep my family of 4 on the ocean side.

Breakfast was the average continental if Europe. Hotel had construction all day to prepare for their busy season. We had 4 rooms booked for 3 weeks and had to cancel after the first night due to the noise. Hotel staff cancelled our booking without issues. Location was great.

the hotel is situated 20 min from the city center. nice view to the sea. my room was comfortable and clean but rather small. breakfast was nice but variety was small.

The hotel is set up for business people on a short stay. The room walls are thin and you can hear everyone. It’s placement on the waterfront is nice but as a place to sleep it falls short. We asked for help shipping some items to the US and the staff refused to help at all. Disappointing is the general word for this hote.

If you are looking for a clean and save place to stay in Catania I highly recommend to stay at Plaza Hotel Catania. This hotel is a little bit outside of city centre but located in great neighbourhood, plenty of great cafes, restaurants and near supermarket. It also offers complementary breakfast (they do a Country theme so each week you get to try different delicacy of different Countries) and free parking (underground parking). Our room was tiny but clean, everyday we had new towels and made beds. We didn’t spend a lot of time in hotel room that’s why we haven’t complained to reception about the room size. Receptionists were very helpful in getting restaurant recommendations and possible trips (like Etna experience). Massive thank you to all at Plaza Hotel for making our holiday stay memorable!

Although a little way from centre/sights transport fine once you get the hang of it.

The hotel was conveniently located near the area I needed to be, but the building is a very dated, and the price absolutely does not match the quality. I was traveling on business, so I needed an iron and ironing board. They only had one, and it was not available until the next morning, which resulted in me being delayed for work. The room had a smell to it and the shower felt like I was going to fall through the floor. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was ok. Other than it being close to where I was working, there were no other perks. I will not be staying here when I return for more work.

Apart from a misunderstanding with the parking (we believed it was included in the expedia booking as there was an offer the day we booked the trip, but at the end we were told it was not included) we had a perfect stay in this hotel and we recommend it for vacations and work trips as well
