Foi tranquila, porém eu não imaginava que o prédio era tão velho. Dá uma sensação de estar em um lugar muito velho, mesmo no quarto super luxo, a sensação não é boa.

A estadia foi boa, mas poderia ser melhor se o sinal de wi-fi não fosse tão ruim - foi quase inexistente no quarto que fiquei. O hotel poderia ter um sinal exclusivo para cada andar. Outra coisa que fez falta foi um frigobar no quarto, pois não tinha. Como fiquei apenas 2 dias, esses detalhes não chegaram a ser um grande problema. Mas caso ficasse mais tempo, ou se precisasse trabalhar remotamente, tanto um sinal bom de wi-fi quanto um frigobar fariam muita falta.

On the positive side, the hotel staff was helpful and polite and the room clean. However, the entire hotel is dated and poorly maintained. The wifi access is patchy and, in many areas, non-existent. The hotel is located in a seedy neighborhood opposite to the bus station and very close to a dangerous area of the city, informally known as Cracolândia. Not recommended for families or business trips.

Car rubs underneath in tight spiral parking garage, there was a hole on the bathroom wall where 3 roaches came out, wife was terrified, I had to leave and find another place and front desk rude and told me they would not refund my payment, very bad part of town, you need to get through crackheads to get to hotel. I am from Porto Alegre but had never seen such bad experience overall.

I paid more for a better room with a high-speed internet connection but I wasn't able to connect to the wi-fi at all.

Friendly staff good breakfast

The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is old and the mattress was full of stains, not very pleasant to sleep on it, the location is very practical since is right in the heart of the old town right across from the bus terminal, unfortunately the area is filled with homeless, prostitutes and most of the buildings in the area are somewhat rundown.

Not a bad place for its price. The hotel is not filthy, it's only kind of acceptable. Hairs found on my desk, countertop at washroom, and a towel. The hotel does need to improve its cleanness since you can easily find fingerprints at glass doors, and facilities are at so-so conditions. The portion of breakfast is good, but the quality of food is not as expected. (Yet meets the standard of room rate, though.) Hotel staff is friendly and is willing to assist. A couple of staff can communicate in English. Do need a car to maneuver or else you will feel unsafe at the area, which has a bus station right across, and abandoned buildings not afar. The rooftop is not in use, probably due to the pandemic, so you will not find the beautiful swimming pool as shown in property pictures. The water was not drained and is dirty now, by the time of my stay. Be careful with the Wi-Fi, they have an open signal accessible without a password, and one that needs a password. I felt unconfortable connecting to their Wi-Fi especially the open one. None of the staff told me which signal is official from the hotel. My mobile phones did get kind of awkward after connecting to their Wi-Fi if compared with connected at my own home.

Rooms are clean. Staff was nice. Strategic location if you need to take a bus to other cities or out of state (Bus station is literally across the street). Bathrooms are old and need renovation, but at least they were clean.

Ok hotel. In front ok Porto Alegre bus station. Hotel is a bit old but ok. Could use some maintance. Suggestion for upgrades in standard rooms.

The location is awful. Not a nice part of town. Surrounding area felt unsafe.

We have stayed at this hotel across the street from the bus station a couple of times. The staff is friendly, rooms are clean and the breakfast was good.

Not so good in terms of hotel condition (kind of old) and area (not a tourist area and seemed to me not safe to walk). The other stuff is quite good, like a 3 star hotel.

The hotel is really average, the pool was dirty and not well kept and way smaller than it looked on the pictures. Common areas looked old and outdated. The streets surrounding the hotel are super sketchy and not safe at all.

The room was good and had a big shower. I also like the pool on the roof. The staff members were friendly and the breakfast good. Its close the central bus station, so you always get a taxi.

The hotel has a very good breakfast, it is near to downtown and it is easy to access the public transportation but the bedroom had a bad smell and the Internet inside bedroom was too much weak.

The Continental Hotel is located close to bus and train system and we can go walking to downtown and breakfast is excellent.

I booked this hotel because it was close to the bus station after an overnight bus ride from Montevideo. The hotel is directly outside the bus station, over the street, but there is no hotel logo visible from anywhere useful and it took me 15 minutes to find the hotel! Anyway, I arrived early and after that things picked up. Friendly reception manager gave me a room immediately and the room was fine, although the window gave me a great view of concrete walls. Wifi is patchy and the breakfast is nothing special, but the hotel is conveniently located for exploring the city and serves its purpose for a brief visit.

The hotel was pretty good but I was warned about how dangerous the surrounding area was.
