The owner of the property was already notified of all the issues listed in this review and given the opportunity to correct any problems. After emailing her and sending her pictures of the roaches (at her request), I have not heard back from her.
First, the house was not cleaned when we arrived (we did get there 15 minutes early). It took 3 ladies the entire first hour of our stay to finish cleaning the house. While waiting for the cleaning to be done, we discovered the downstairs shower (which is used to get sand off from the beach) and the gas grill were not working. We notified the manager and she said she would come back with a propane tank that night and have a plumber come out. The next day the plumber showed up without warning and got a tank delivered. The grill still didn’t work with the new tank. We notified the manager and got a charcoal grill the next day. But these things were nothing compared to the roaches. They were the tiny ones associated with filth. It was gross and they were everywhere. I emailed the owner on our 2nd night to let her know about the problem. She admitted there had been an issue since April and requested pictures for the exterminator (which isn’t necessary). If it wasn’t for family coming down for the day, we would’ve left early. We were concerned the roaches would get in our bags, our food, and about the cleanliness of the dishes provided.
We paid a pretty penny to stay with a bunch of disgusting roaches.

On the Rocks was just as shown in the listing. It is a perfect location, just minutes from all you need. There is plenty of room and the property has a great kitchen set up and layout. I would recommend this property highly.

Absolute perfect house! We took four of our grandkids and enjoyed every moment. This home is beautiful and located on the Pedestrian beach. The inside was so pretty and functional. I loved the sunrise!

Was a great trip with my adult children. Everything was great - clean, great a/c, great location. Quiet at night, beautiful view in the morning. Had family staying at the other end of the beach and were jealous of this house. Only problem I had was not having a full size oven - other than that it was the perfect stay!!

This was our first trip to Surfside but definitely won’t be the last. We loved our week vacation on the beach. The view from our beach house was amazing!! I’m the chef in our family and being able to cook indoors and enjoy an ocean view all at the same time was AWESOME.
The upstairs deck is fabulous! We fished, boogie boarded, went kayaking, played football on the beach and all of this was just a few steps from the house. At night we enjoyed listening to music and playing Monopoly. Our home away from home was clean, cozy and perfect for our crew of 8!

July Weekend Stay
The location of this property is just at the perfect spot. The house is beautiful and very comfy. We stayed for 3 nights and it was just the perfect amount of days. We definitely will be back to this house. I contacted the maid service twice and each time they answered our calls and answered the questions I had even at 9 o’clock at night. Totally Recommend!!!!

Unimpressive overall
The water pressure in this house was unacceptable. We could only run one tap at a time and even then, showers were weak.
The neighbors were very loud and left trash all over the place.
The bedding, mattresses and pillows were very low quality and there was no coffee maker except for a keurig. The kitchen was disorganized with pans that do not even fit in the small oven. Overall, I was unimpressed with the facilities.
The house was spacious enough for our group of seven, the location was excellent, the beach was in good condition, and the deck was great.

Perfect Location and Great House to relax
Couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The house is much more roomy than we expected it to be. The views are unbeatable and owners were great to deal with. Amazing property!!
Absolutely amazing experience! The owners were friendly and communicated directly with us. They have a local property host but they sent a welcoming email.
The moment we walked in to soft music, fresh smells and the amazing view, I knew it was going to be a great weekend. They had everything we needed- it was very clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable! It is right on the ocean- a road is all that’s between you and the sand!
Beautiful way start the day is to sip coffee in the morning on the deck, with a full table for breakfast outside, and enjoy the evening with the outside adjustable deck lights. Everything is controlled by Alexa so need to even go inside to change the brightness or color. They had nice linens, comfortable beds and the washer and dryer was a nice touch. No need to drag home those wet, sandy clothes. There is a propane grill downstairs and a couple swings by the bar- not really for kids- more of sitting at the bar type. There is also a open outdoor shower to rinse the sand off before heading upstairs. The beach is fairly clean and was busy but not crowded. Overall this is an amazing property and provided us a great experience! We will be back and definitely recommend it!!

It was prefect! My family and I went for my moms 60th birthday and enjoyed ourselves. The house was clean and nice the owners were very nice and there when needed them and yeah! I would for sure rent this house again!!

We had so much fun during our stay. The property is located close to all of the activities in the area. There were 11 of us and we never felt crowded. Walked across to beach. Golf cart took us to jetty, stores and restaurants. The owner and property manager were very nice.

Our time at the beach
The house was clean. The location was great. The TV's did not work that well, but we weren't there for that so we had a good time on the beach. Has for the neighborhood. The neighbors had trash pile up at the end of the driveway all week that smelled Drew f flies and there was a man living in his truck on the street in front of the house. On Wednesday morning I got up early the passenger door to this truck what's open and he was sprawled out face up in the middle of the road with a red cup feet from his hand. He did get up about 7 and crawl in the truck and spent the day in there other than that we had a great time and enjoyed the beach7

Wonderful Location and Great Layout!
The cottage has a wonderful living and kitchen area with a great TV, which was great to watch movies and the football playoffs. Everything was close to the house. Convenience stores, jetty park, and the beach literally steps away. Surfside has plenty of restaurants for takeout, which was nice because we hardly left the deck. The soothing waves were incredible, and make sure you wake up for the incredible sunrises.

Great sport
Stayed numerous times in this area and we love staying on the pedestrian beach. Great deck and great deck furniture to really help enjoy the outdoors! A lot places you rent say they have furniture, but it is total garbage. Inside has a great layout to enjoy hanging out as well. Only minor critique would be the couches need to be replaced, as they are starting to show the wood underneath, but certainly nothing that even remotely detracted from this wonderful beach house.

Nice Right On The Beach
This was a great location just across the street from the beach. You could probably throw a rock and hit the beach from the balcony. The beach house has a split floor plan with plenty of room for everyone. There were some maintenance problems and the unit could have been cleaned better (found signs that a cat had been in the bathroom and left a little surprise). I contacted management and gave them a detailed list of everything. Hopefully everything was corrected after we left. I told them that there was no need to do any of the repairs until after we left.

Spacious covered deck
The house was roomy and laid out good for our family stay. The swings downstairs were fun. One thing that needs to be addressed is the porch safety. It had nails that were sticking up and could seriously hurt bare feet! The AC & washer/dryer worked good. However, in the kitchen, both hand held can openers are worn out & need replacing. Also, the coffee maker pot has to be lined up perfectly or it won't drip & grounds get in the coffee!

Nice house but needs some inprovemnets.
We were very pleased with location. The balcony was great. The master was great, however, the other two rooms were not cooling down. The bedroom with bunk beds was so warm that our kids had to sleep in the living room. There needs to be at least a stand up fan to help cool the room. The metal bunk beds need to be thrown away and replaced. They are so loud and noisy and no one wanted to sleep on top because of how flimsy they seemed. The bedding in the 2nd king size room had stains on the comforter. The kitchen was ok but there were no mixing bowls. We had to make our salad in a big stock pot. Some of the cookie sheets didn’t fit in the oven and the skillet was rusted. Overall it was fine. We had a good time but the ac needs to be checked out since you can only set it to 73 and it was 95 outside.
