Safe and close to everything

I am unsure how this property has such a high rating. The view is undeniably spectacular and the location in quiet Main Beach nestled between the beach and the main strip of shops is perfect. However, here is why I can’t recommend it to others:
- the apartment was dusty
- our shower was unusable due to mouldy grout
- the third bedroom is not a bedroom at all but a room sectioned off from the loungeroom by shutters. Our toddler slept in there but it meant we could not use the loungeroom without waking her up.
- when I brought this bedroom issue up with reception, the man was defensive and aggressive, saying ‘there are photos of it plastered all over the website’. I triple checked - there is currently not a single photo of this third bedroom with shutter screen on their website or Expedia
- This one for families: the second bedroom locks from the inside with no key to get in. While playing, our toddler and 10 month old locked themselves in the bedroom and we had to call emergency services while hoping they didn’t seriously injure themselves in there
- beds are made with only a top sheet - it was pretty cold overnight during QLD winter
- kitchen filled with a random assortment of stained and unclean crockery and kitchen items
All in all, a tired, rundown and unclean property in a great location with a wonderful view. If you need a third bedroom, don’t stay here. Not family-friendly.

We stayed in apartment 21, truly has a breathtaking view, exquisite location and gorgeous spot! Would come back definitely on our next family trip.
Oscar’s on main beach is a perfect location for a short or long stay. Indeed , feels home the moment we walked in. With astonishing and stunning ocean view, neat and tidy rooms , large bedrooms with complete cupboards and drawers, kitchen utensils, everything you need at home. Beautiful place. Just 3 minutes walk to the beach, close to shops , cafe and restaurant, fishing spots👌We had great time .

The property was well maintained. Friendly and really helpful staff. Very spacious, has good lighting all day, with good view.

Even though the weather was patchy, our stay was divine due to the spacious and comfortable accommodation. New years fireworks a treat with great views along the stunning coast and back to the hinterland.

Our out of hours check in was smooth and easy. Apartment 08 is beautifully decorated, well maintained, spacious and comfortable. It was a pleasure to spend our weekend there.

My wife and I stayed 8 nights at the Oscar in a 2 bedroom garden view and we had a great stay with no issues whatsoever. We love the Gold Coast and we always come 2 times a year and always stay at Main Beach not to mention Anne at the Reception Desk such a lovely bubbly personality a true asset to the Oscar always makes a big difference when you have people like Anne greeting holiday stayers it will definitely keep them coming back to the Oscar. Thank you again to the Oscar and Anne.

We stayed at The Oscar on Main for 4 nights.
The apartment was fantastic. We had a clean and spacious apartment with lovely ocean views. The local shops were nearby as was public transport to other parts of the Gold Coast. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Incredible views. Main Beach is a lovely area, Tedder street restaurants and cafes so nice and within a 5 minute walk to Oscars. Because we are three women, we do need two bedrooms, both a good size, the main bedroom overlooking the sea, amazing! Kitchen, dining table, front room with balcony, 2 bathrooms, laundry , tenth floor. We would definitely stay again when visiting the Gold Coast

Check in was a breeze. We found the key and instructions. Apartment is huge, with great views. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen well appointed. Spare bed was made available. Would definitely stay again.

Attention to detail for a mostcrelaxing experience. Gardeners were maintaining the grounds and notices posted about verandah wash program dates. Very impressive

Great view of the beach over the caravan park. lovely sea breezes in the afternoon and evening. Close to cafe strip (walkable) for dining. Large apartment with plenty of space - very comfortable.

Would definitely stay again, but id bring some cleaning items to save having to by from the supermarket as its a bit pricey. Did not stop us from loving our stay. We even got to enjoy the eclipse from the balcony.

The property is in an excellent location,close to shops,restaiurants and transport ie buses and trams.
Easy walking distance to Cavill avenue via the beach.

My daughters and I had an excellent catch up at Oscar on Main.The apartment was spacious and clean and well furnished. The staff were excellent and allowed early check in which was appreciated. The facilities and grounds are very well kept. Quiet and peaceful and easy walking distance to the dining options and beach.

Impressed by spacious size of lounge bedroom and balcony. Felt homely. Tv in lounge and bedroom. Quiet and convenient location. Could open blinds and not have next building looking in. Loved the indoor pool, spa , steam room as it wsa rainy stay.

We stayed here as we had a water polo comp at the nearby Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. Great location for cafe, restaurants and beach. Close to major attractions. Awesome pools inside and out.

Otherwise, great location, easy on site parking and very large comfortable unit that was nicely furnished with a generous balcony. Had a great stay.

We loved Oscar on main. We booked a garden view unit. It was quiet with a lovely view of the garden . Not windy no traffic noise. Safe and very pleasant. The facilities were excellent. The staff friendly and helpful. Air con was super cool. The unit had everything we needed. We will book again. So glad we booked at Oscar on Main. Can’t wait to go again. I stayed by myself for a few nights and felt absolutely safe and comfortable. e loved the balcony as well so peaceful and not windy.

The location is excellent, quiet, close to the sea and shops, the apartment is large and the balcony have wonderful views , the place is clean and reception staff are friendly , nice swimming pool . But some negative points on the place of residence is that there is no room cleaning service daily and do not change towels and sheets on a daily basis, there is no much gym equipment.

This was real find for us the property was spacious and in a great location for a few nights away with the family with plenty of places to eat and shops witin a couple of minutes walk.
