This was a beautiful boutique hotel in the middle of Old Town. We had a spacious suite with a loft. The pool was an excellent addition to take a dip after our walks. Breakfast was so yummy, especially the Greek pastries and yoghurt. The outdoor area was beautiful. Would highly recommend this quaint hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Pepi Hotel and would definitely stay again.
Pros:
- Walking distance to lots of dining options, sightseeing, shopping etc, perfect location!
- Friendly staff
- Very tasty breakfast and wines
- Quiet, relaxed atmosphere
- Room 6 was spacious and had a great balcony overlooking the pool
- Fridge in room
- Powerful shower
- Able to use the facilities after checkout if late transfer home
- Nice pool for cooling down in
Cons:
- When we first entered the room on arrival, there was a slight sewage type smell which was overpowering. Thankfully this went away throughout the week but kept coming back here and there.
- Only outdoor shower for getting ready for flights, no desperate changing area/suitcase area whilst waiting to get to the airport
- Lack of space for clothes in the bedroom, there was a wardrobe but no drawers at all
- Cappuccinos and Lattes are usually included within the price for breakfast at most hotels but are extra here
- Bed extremely hard
There are a couple of cons but overall, the pros outweigh these and the stunning aesthetic of the hotel, combined with the staff and location make it a great stay. It would be good if some more small comforts were thought about for future rather than just concentrating on the style. Please get new beds as they are very hard!

Really unique lovely property. The staff were very friendly and helpful to us. The pool area was secluded and quiet, great for relaxing and there were great restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend.

Just had the most amazing weeks stay at this hotel with my daughter, the staff were so welcoming and helpful and the accommodation was excellent. The hotel is in an excellent location in the heart of the old town yet the courtyard with pool area was so peaceful. The hotel also arranged our transfers to and from the airport which went very smoothly. Thank you to all for an amazing holiday.

A lovely small hotel at the heart of Rethymno. Very central and easy walking to shops, restaurants, harbour, beach and port.
We stayed in a maisonette. Due to Covid all of the kitchen equipment was taken out so we didn’t have the facilities we expected, which was a little disappointing. However, it had a comfortable bedroom on the mezzanine with a king size bed. The accommodation for us lacked natural light due to small windows. Even with the shutters open it was still quite dark. I suppose this was designed to keep out some of the heat.
There are lots of choices for breakfast served in the beautiful courtyard around the swimming pool.
The Reception and breakfast serving staff were friendly and accommodating.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location to stay in the heart of the old town in Rethymno.
The hotel is nice, good breakfast but our room was a bit dated.
Overall, friendly service, convenient and good value for money.
No worries about the parking situation, because there's a parking lot only 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel which charges 5 euros per day.

Pepi Boutique is cantered in the Old part of town and as such virtually traffic free . It means two things , one it was very quiet and peaceful but cases had to be wheeled from the nearest drop off point. As we are fit the 5 min walk with cases was not a problem but be aware this has to be done. The hotel does not have a lift to the first floor so if you have a mobility problem then the ground floor might be a better choice . We opted for a room on the first floor which had an enormous bed ,small balcony and all the usual facilities and masses of HOT water all day long .
The reception area is very attractive and manned until 11.00 at night and the inner courtyard area is an Oasis . The is a small pool well maintained with comfortable sun beds with breakfast tables carefully placed so that breakfast can be enjoyed outside. We were very surprised by the inclusive breakfast which was extremely good with plenty of choice . Top marks to all the staff who are so warm friendly and always smiling and helpful, nothing was too much trouble . If you want to stay in a small , quiet hotel located near to all the local shops and restaurants this is for you..

The property is well located in Old Town. This review would have been very different if our room was not changed. Initially we had a standard room by the pool (it is a small dipping pool). The room was very dark, damp and smelled musty. There were several air purifiers and a dehumidifier. A most unhealthy environment. Luckily they had another room available on the first floor.- day and night. It was bright, good lighting, comfortable. Would not believe it was the same hotel. Pity the standards were so different and we were not paying cheap prices.

We stayed at this hotel in Old Rethymno for 4 nights this October 2017 and had a pleasant stay. We enjoyed the location the most, it was in the heart of old town just steps away from excellent food and hundreds of shops. It was also close to the beach and tourist attractions like the fortezza. Pepi provided us with a welcome bottle of wine which was a nice surprise. Our room was clean and modern and had a nice balcony overlooking the cobblestone streets. I will say the cleaning staff didn’t always give us new towels or new sheets each day which was a bit of a disappointment. The hotel staff was very helpful in setting up excursions we wanted to do and helping us navigate the city. If you are the outdoorsmen type, I would highly recommend hiking the Samaria gorge. It is a difficult and lengthy hike but if you are in good health, it is worth every penny.
TIPS: First, skip the bistro 22 which is attached to the hotel. There much better food just down the street. Second, the metal faucets in the shower get Extremely Hot! I burned myself touching it so be careful!
Overall we had a great stay, a great value, and and enjoyed this exciting city. We would definitely recommend a stay at Pepi Studio

- I wish they'd warned us about parking. The hotel is in the old city, no cars allowed. We had to figure out where to park, couldn't read the street signs to understand parking rules. That was our biggest issue.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The welcome was great and check in was easy. The hotel and room we had was beautiful! The decor was great and made it feel homely. The room was roomy and had a kitchenette which was useful! It was straight out to the pool area, which was fantastic to relax at! The location was incredible; right in the middle of the Old Town but once you got to the pool it was quiet and calm. We would strongly recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay here again and for longer. Perfect for a stopover or a long stay!

This was an amazing little hotel. So friendly, a superb stop in the old town. Nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The plunge pool, and outdoor seating area was a haven, and all clean and well looked after. I would highly recommend Pepi Studios to our friends and family.

Great Boutique hotel in a perfect location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue was this is not an adult only hotel. Although my partner and I did not mind, do not book if you are not expecting children around. Luckily we were up early and off out otherwise we would have been awoken by a screaming baby in the room next door at 06:30 am

I had an amazing stay here! The hotel is beautiful. The rooms had high ceilings and lovely decorations. The staff were so kind and helpful with everything. The hotel is situated in the center and a few minutes walk to the beach. If I come back to crete I will without hesitation sat here again. I plan to take my mom there next year. Thanks Pepi staff for making our stay excellent. Great hotel and great hospitality.

Loved the location. Had a hire car so able to travel out of town. Booked with friends for one week and intended to change location after they went home as our flight left 4 days later but we liked it so. Uch we extended our stay here. Luckily the reception staff were able to move other arrivals around so we could stay in same studio.
We had a superior studio which was lovely. The queen beds are huge and available in all standard rooms too I'm told.

I have stayed at Pepi Studios lots of times and would always look to stay there as my first choice. Everything you would ask of a holiday is literally on your doorstep. The beach is a short stroll away and you are in the centre of a lovely town full of character and excellent restaurants, shops and cafes.
The garden at Pepis is very tranquil with shade from the trees if required. The staff at both Bristro 22 and Pepis are so pleasant and helpful.
I have stayed in both standard and superior rooms and find that the only real advantage of thensuperior rooms is the convenience of the garden just outside your door, though I believe that they are looking to upgrade all rooms to the same standard.
Try it you won't be dissapointed.

We last stayed in Pepi Studios 10 years ago & although the layout hasn't changed, the standard of facilities has vastly improved. Comfortable spotless beds & thick fluffy towels changed every 2 days, efficient air-con, safe deposit, flat screen TV, kettle supplied in kitchen, constant hot water. Right off a busy cobbled side street with up market shops, a lovely courtyard with ample loungers & chairs, towels supplied, trees & flowers abound, lovely sound of wood pigeons. Bistro 22 in front for snacks & drinks, pleasant staff
