Small hotel in a central location in Arona. Not a fancy place but clean, friendly and affordable. The superior rooms can be recommend. There’s an extra cleaning fee of €10 if you bring a dog.

This is an older hotel in an excellent location. We had paid extra for a "partial view" of Lago Maggiore, but we must have been upgraded since we had a lovely little balcony with a full view of the lake. We really appreciated this because it was kind of cold and windy (end of November) but we were still able to enjoy the view and the sunrise before leaving for the airport to fly home. The breakfast is very nice and we were able to find free parking in one of the large lots down past the railway station, about a 10 minute walk away. As a normal hotel, this property has a full reception, and the staff were helpful in printing our boarding passes and answering our questions. The owners of this hotel should consider replacing/upgrading the showers. We enjoyed walking along the lake front and having coffee at one of the places along there. For dinner, I recommend 900 Novocento Ristorante on Corso Liberazione 28. Their food is excellent, the staff nice, and their historic dining room has a cozy fire (in cooler seasons) in a big old stone fireplace. Highly recommended.

It's a nice hotel on the shore of Lake Maggiore. Not too fancy, but the staff are lovely. Pay the extra and get a room with a balcony as it makes it so much nicer to have the view of the lake etc.

Misleading photos of the rooms compared to the ones we booked online. Old non renovated rooms. Awful mattress. Central toilets stinky and smelly.

The room I booked and was shown on the hotels.com site was not the one I stayed in. The category was true but the photo was misleading. The photo showed the renovated, mine was run down and old. Probably hotels.com fault. The only positive is the good location. Too noisy, mattress is uncomfortable, breakfast is boring.

Not so fresh.

Advertised with air con but the room was sub tropical and hotter than hell! Tried to get it sorted but after two days of being fobbed off I finally got told they’d turned it off as it worked for the building but wasn’t needed now as it was cold outside! Checked out a day early to get a decent nights sleep! Only positive is the restaurant next door which is fab

Good value for money!

We booked this hotel for the last night of a 12 day trip to Italy and Switzerland. What a disappointment! From the check-in where the woman could have cared less to help us, to the fact that there actually is no parking at the hotel (there is paid on-street if you can find it, or a couple paid lots blocks away), to the room that needs total updating - torn wallpaper, stained and worn carpet, toilet seat that twists when you sit - to the super rude guy at check-out. The only good things about this hotel were the helpful and friendly waiter at breakfast and the location. If you want to be in the heart of the waterfront/historical district with lots of shopping and dining options (although noisy crowds outside the hotel rooms), this is the place to go.

Location, location, location..... this hotel has that in spades. But the overall condition- even in the updated rooms is not great. I had black mold in my shower.

Excellent location plus our room overlooked the lake. Hotel needed modernization and parking could have been a problem but the hotel were very helpful and gave us a special parking permit which could be used anywhere in Arona.

Fantastic location on the main boardwalk. Short distance to the train terminal, ferries and city center.

Room 104 is a partial lake view and shouldnt be listed as a lake view. I feel a little ripped off.

Centrally located on the lakeside. Very friendly and helpful staff. All town facilities were in walking distance. A great starting point for a holiday at Lake Maggiore.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic position by the lake. The staff are friendly and so helpful. The hotel is ideally positioned for bars, restaurants and exploring the area. The superior rooms are really nice and those that are lake facing provide stunning views of the lake.

While this hotel is on the main street in Arona, it is at the quiet end. The location is excellent for access to the train station (6 minute walk) and views of the lake.

Perfect location right near everything you want in the area. Next to the walk and water as well as the ferry boats. restaurants all around.
