Warm welcome on arrival. Clean room with a modern bathroom with a spacious walk in shower.
15/20 minute walk from the city centre. Breakfast was very good . Good selection of cereal. Full breakfast cooked to order , lovely.
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side so we were not able to do as planned 😔

Lovely Hotel in a smart part of Cardiff. Comfortable room, friendly service, good breakfast. Particularly liked the Gentlemen's Club style lounge.

Fabulous breakfast, gorgeous period hotel with wonderful features. Staff were super friendly and the breakfast staff were really polite and helpful.
We had a free upgrade for our anniversary (I think!) and our room was wonderful.
About 20 minute stroll to town centre, 35 mins stroll to Cardiff Bay.
Several pubs and restaurants immediately in the vicinity if you didn’t want to go to town.
Can’t wait to stay again!

A lovely old Victorian townhouse on a quaint street, minutes from Cardiff Castle on foot.

Really comfortable stay. Excellent choice for breakfast and really tasty. Room was nice and spacious, comfortable bed, good shower and clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and service was good. Small safe car park. Nice walk through the park into Cardiff town centre. Would stay again if in the area.

A bit expensive but expected with the speedway Grand prix. Very comfortable and the best breakfast i think ive had. Friendly staff would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was delicious, room was very clean and pretty. The receptionist was friendly and helpful in getting us a cab.

A very friendly and helpful proprietor. Steered us towards an excellent Italian restaurant and helped us to fit in our need to change before a wedding. The breakfast was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom ,although small, was clean, modern and had a good shower. However, the other furniture in the room was rather old and battered which let the room down.

The woman at front desk was unbelievably rude and asking for the smallest things was such an inconvenience to her. There were some previous guests’ rubbish left in the drawer. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

Hotel itself was lovely. However Expedia advertise the property with free parking, which is essentially false advertising. What they don't tell you is that there are very limited spaces available on a first come first served basis - and when it's busy for events in the area you can expect to drive around for an hour or more to find somewhere to park a 10-15 minute walk away at best.
So we were let down massively by Expedia here. They should have used the information as per the hotel website. We would not have booked this hotel had we known that parking would not be available.

Please,please don’t book this hotel! I deem this site and the hotel to be false advertising.
The room i booked was for a king sized four poster bed for £479.00 the room in the photos looked amazing. However the room we were given was anything but amazing, small, dirty and no king sized bed. We queried this the manager we said it was he was rude and unprofessional.
We were over charged by over £304, as we did get the room as advertised
On the plus side the bed was a Hypnos Base. But mattress was well worn. The bathroom was new and clean which is the only good thing I can say regarding this hotel.

No fridge. No plugs. No water. No lift. Tiny bathroom. No tub (we had a suite). Hard hard mattress and worst pillows I’ve ever tried to sleep on. It was clean and pretty.

A very nice simply but comfortably furnished room spotlessley clean with everything needed for an overnight stay. The ensuite bathroom also immaculately clean also supplied super toiletries to wash snd shower etc which were eco friendly in large glass bottles.best of all was Carl and the dining room staff Carl reserved my parking space carried my luggage up to my room and parked my walking frame for me,with no fuss and discreet help. The dining room staff served an excellent breakfast quickly and efficiently and were very pleasant to deal with. Super hotel super staff great position.

Very relaxing. Staff friendly as you'd wish for. The room is spacey with lovely classic furniture and a crackingly comfortable four poster bed. The breakfast was faultless. Stayed an extra night was so happy here.

Stayed one night for business. It was functional. Check in was a purely check in with no chat or pleasantry’s. The room was okay, bed was okay, decor generally okay. No wow factor so I wouldn’t choose it for a pleasure break but for work it did the job. I had to leave earlier than expected so didn’t get to try the breakfast but that was due to my circumstances and no fault of the property. I’d stay again for work if I needed to.

We found this hotel very clean and comfortable . The staff were very pleasant and attentive . The breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and excellent quality.
It was a short walk into the centre of Cardiff.
The availability of parking was a bonus .

A stunning property converted into rooms. Very comfortable, massive King size bed! Good shower, quiet hotel inside and outside. Good position to city centre and university. Excellent breakfast, I had poached eggs on muffins made to order and they were perfect. Would highly recommend!

our 2 night stay at this property was wonderful, lovely large room with a king size bed and ensuite bathroom, lovely furnishings and decoration. Plus secure off road parking. good breakfast and helpful and friendly staff. 20 min walk through a lovely park past the castle into the city centre.
We will definitely stay here again!
