Place was beautiful and well
Located. Didn’t say on the website about all the stairs up to the rooms and we were on the top floor with an adult with impaired mobility and a toddler. Staff never spoke to us about breakfast, emergency procedures and there was a fire test! No help from anyone, staff just watched you lug baggage for a family up and down, no trolleys to use to carpark. No lift.

Comfortable room. Very noisy from bar below, albeit stopped by 10ish. Bathroom window let in a lot of noise. Good location and plenty on street cheap parking

The room was pretty good, but what made the stay great was the friendliness of the staff. It really makes a difference when staff are friendly and talk rather than just go through the motions. These were probably the most polite, professional and friendly staff I've had.

This is a great place to stay. The breakfasts are superb, the room was too. It’s not too great walking along the Main Street outside the hotel at night, but the walk to the water takes only a few minutes, and is well worth doing in the evening, as well as during the day.

The staff were particularly helpful and friendly. Every one of them that we encountered was approachable and looked happy in their work. I was really grateful for the recommendation of a nearby Italian restaurant which was just a stones throw from the hotel and just what I needed to satisfy two tired, grumpy toddlers. I had been dreading wandering the streets with them looking for a suitable place to eat, but it was all taken care of by the nice man on the reception desk (sorry I didn't get his name). He even phoned them to check there was a table available and they moved things around to accommodate us, despite being busy. Thanks so much, would definitely stay again.

I usually stay here on business and I like it that much we spent our anniversary weekend here. It was a 5 hour drive but so worth it. The room was spotless and comfortable. The staff steal the show though. They are absolutely 5 star (Especially Reception). We can’t thank you all enough.

Hotels.com overallocated , sobwhen we got there there was no room available , they finally moved stuff around , but we ended up stuck in a tiny room right buy a noisy kitchen air filter which didnt go off till 11 and back on again at 7am , Hotels .com at fault as per hotel

Room was amazing and the staff great in the hotel bit
We were attending a wedding and told by a lady we couldn't take drinks inside the ceremony that was fine we asked where they should be put and told at a table in the bar area we askes obviously about spiking as the drinks were been left to be told a member of staff would be watching them to prevent this
When exiting the room it wasn't the spiking we needed to worry about but a number of drinks been stolen needles to say there were a numer of unhappy people
To the bars credit they were replaced free of charge but the safety aspect was worrying

I will stay at this hotel if I’m working within 90 mins travel.
Hotel staff are 10 / 10. Nothing is too much trouble.
Rooms are spotless and comfortable.
Bar is very welcoming and the food is delicious.

Room was to a really nice standard and bed very comfortable .

Hotel advertised pool and gym this is not on site and is public saltwater swimming pool and gym a good 15 minutes walk. We stayed on 3rd floor there is no lift so wouldn’t want to be lugging large cases.No air conditioning in room just a large fan so going to be really hot mid summer . That said we had a pleasant stay.

Listed building and beautifully maintained. Only one downside was it was too hot in the room but they do have a lot of elderly residents so that’s fair enough. Lovely place and their wedding venue room is gorgeous.

We booked to stay at bold hotel however my wife couldn't manage stairs up to rooms, so the lady quickly transfered us to there other hotel opposite lord st hotel which has a lift to first floor where we was given a lovely room staff went above & beyond for us excellent service.

Really nice looking place, very clean… I always check for bugs etc and nothing in sight!
The staff were absolutely wonderful, all so friendly and welcoming. They couldn’t do enough to help! Really made the experience for us.
The food is very much average for the price. Really well presented but nothing amazing. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

My sister and I stayed with my Mum in the triple room. Absolutely amazing. Loads of space & huge bathroom. Staff were brilliant and the breakfast was superb.
The only comment I’d make is that the dimmer switch for the main room lights is behind the headboard of the single bed. Every time I turned over the bed would move and the lights would flash on and off. Quite confusing when it first happened, then quite funny once we discovered the dimmer switch…

We thought the hotel was really nice, clean, well presented and really nicely decorated.
The reception guy was super helpful and advised the intracises of pay2park.
To be fair this was the only real negative in the whole experience as having to pay every day and even though the cost was reduced a further £8.20 per day when the hotel was already and understandably costly . Also having to walk from behind the Grand in the pouring rain was a bit of a bind.
