The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The pull out couch had your usual bar under the back and thin mattress but the kids did not complain. The highlight was definitely the hot breakfast every morning with excellent coffee! Also, excellent location in River North- we walked everywhere

Spent 2 nights. Very walkable to places of interest downtown. Nice free breakfast.

Very good stay for the price. The hotel is located right in the hustle bustle of River north with plenty of food options around. The hotel is located adjacent to a restaurant which is good spot and you can have drinks from there have them in hotel lobby.

I went to Chicago for a solo trip and every staff member was welcoming and friendly throughout my stay. The glass shower was great and breakfast is included. Also, housekeeping stops by daily to tidy up and make the bed. The hotel is within walking distance from several restaurants, rooftop bars, and the riverwalk. Lastly, as a solo traveler I loved there was a security guard at night and the main entrance is locked at 11pm, and guest can only come in with their key card. High recommend this location.

Fabulous cooked breakfast to start day. Fabulous staff. No street noise even on second floor. Walking distance to union station, navy pier, and downtown. Lots of restaurants close by.

It was a lovely time staying at the Hyatt. We ended up just doing valet parking and walked to most places there is so much to do around the area.

Very conveniently places to all key locations. As it’s in the middle of all the huddle and bustle it’s a great location to be in but can get noisy during night. The hotel provides you with a distractor (white noise) which works well in the rooms.

Great stay in Chicago, our room for our family of five with two beds and a pullout bed/couch. Great complimentary breakfast daily, valet overnight was $70, and we had no need to have a vehicle as we were two blocks from the train. Great location, safe neighborhood, 20 minute walk to most tourist areas in the city, or could get a train/bus Vespa card for $5 a day that will literally take you anywhere in the city and to both airports. Plenty of restaurants nearby, nice and friendly staff, would stay here again!

The staff is super nice and friendly. We parked with their valet, which was both convenient and efficient. Rooms are clean and comfortable. It can get noisy since the fire department is practically across the street. But they offer ear plugs at the front desk, and there is a white noise machine in the room (which we didn't need, the earplugs were enough). Breakfast was good, and although it was busy, it didn't feel too crowded. Overall great value!

Loved the location and restaurant (Ema’s). The room was fine except that the air conditioner did not work well. I think the thermostat was malfunctioning, and often made the room too cold or too warm (the heat would come on even though outside temperatures hovered near 90 degrees).

My family would definitely stay here again. The staff was amazing. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The location was very convenient for so many activities. There are several reviews stating that it is very loud due to street noise... we did notice some noise from the fire station across the street, but it was minimal. Just in case, overnight we used the white noise machine in the room and we couldn't hear anything from the outside.

We traveled as a family with two young children! The front desk staff and breakfast staff were extremely kind, hospitable and helpful. Our room was a great size and very quiet. The hotel is in a perfect location and great walking distance to many of the city’s attraction. We will definately be staying here again.

The A/C was broken and the couch in the room had a big stain on it. They did set us up in a different Hotel and it was so much better.

Usually, the Hyatt is great. On this occasion, we arrived at a nonfunctional AC facility. We learned that the issue is almost a week old, but they were still checking in guests and not communicating the issue to future guests (like ourselves). We stayed one night, due to late arrival bt did not get much sleep as it was too hot. We left the following morning and received full credit which is nice.
I still feel that it would have been better to let all future guests know on advance and avoid the trouble.

The air conditioning broke for at least 3 days, the duration of our stay. It was not fixed and the temperatures dipped into 90s. It should have been fixed, but it wasn't.

The hotel is clean and breakfast is good but the air conditioning was not working for several days and the temperature is 31 to 30 oC super hot in the room and talked to the night desk staff. She told me waiting for parts to fix the AC and suggested me to buy the fans in the store. The hotel should do that for customers, not we search the stores to buy fans at night. When we checked out after two nights in a room with 30 oC, the hotel refunded all charge to everyone, that’s reasonable decision. But they should do something to correct the problem or improve the situation before that.
