My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. The room was clean, comfortable and had a patio overlooking the mountains. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well. The town is about a mile from the lodge and very walkable. Lots of boutiques and restaurants, coffee shops and a wonderful HUGE independent bookstore. The people were lovely. The lodge staff was attentive. Turndown service every day. Clean towels. Tv channels are very limited but we didn’t stay in the room much. The room itself was clean and cozy. Could stand a little updating but was perfectly serviceable.

Fabulous hotel – huge room, comfortable bed, good facilities, fantastic view.
Wonderful reception staff and breakfast lady and a substantial carbohydrate based breakfast but no gluten-free bagels or bread offered. I was a bit surprised that when I messaged ahead of time to enquire about gluten-free food because I’m coeliac I was summarily informed without apology that the hotel does not cater for specific diets! There was fruit and (very sweet) yoghurts but even if they had just provided some boiled eggs, it would have helped. If it were not for this, I would have happily given this hotel the highest marks.

Very friendly check-in staff, we had an issue with our room and we were given upgraded room which had a fantastic view. The idea of pre-ordered continental breakfast which we were not expecting was good as it saved time looking for somewhere in town to eat.Would recommend staying here.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The views were gorgeous and the rooms clean, quiet and comfortable. Though it's an older property, the aging of it is more than made up for by the overall experience. We were pleased and will return.

We loved this place and we are planning to go back again. This is our new favorite place in Vermont. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The room was very clean and it was a great night sleep. Everyone was very helpful.

Start by offering one room with a firm mattress and even advertise it. You might be surprised you can even charge a few more bucks for the firm mattress. I cannot be the only guest in your history with an old back. Everything else was great!

Amazing we arrived after business hours and they left the key and a note outside so we could get in when we arrived. The continental breakfast was great. Room was clean and well kept.

Have stayed here at least twice a year, for 3 years now. Shame on me for not posting a review sooner! In addition to the excellent service, cleanliness, the view from our rooms over the years and the comfortable size of the rooms are well worth noting. This most recent stay, there was a big snow storm and they were very accommodating about staying an extra night. Thank you!

Very homey feel to these accomodations. The rooms were grouped in several buildings with individual entrances. I arrived late, and found an envelope taped up with a key and instructions for checking myself in. Breakfast was small but sufficient, with a menu to turn in with your requests. The place had such Vermont charm, and a great view--I expected to see Larry and his brothers Darryl staying there 😀

Clean spacious room with all required amenities. Only negative was when we had a fire in the fireplace the room smelled of smoke which we found unpleasant. Otherwise we would definitely stay here again. Also very convenient to Manchester center
