The manager Lito went out of his way to accommodate our every need. Our rooms were quiet, comfy, with AC. We loved the smaller historic hotel feel. Nice breakfast each AM. We stayed 4 nights total and felt at home.We were steps from Plaza 9 de Julio, the perfect location! Near outdoor/indoor cafes, amazing churches and the MAAM Museum. Also enjoyed spending time in the square with the locals. A fantastic stay!! We fell in love with Salta!

This is a lovely, small boutique hotel just half a block from the main square. Lots of dining options within 2-3 blocks and very safe to walk around. Great shopping as well as things to do. Staff is very friendly and so helpful! We would definitely stay again.

Balcon de la Plaza is a very clean and comfortable hotel less that one block from the main plaza. The front desk staff were very helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations to changing money. Our room was very comfortable, the breakfast fine but unremarkable. As we were traveling by car, it was very convenient to have a car park right next to the hotel. We found the hotel to be a calm oasis from the bustle of the city around us. Although we read that Salta was the best preserved colonial city in Argenting we were not too impressed. However, the scenery up the Quebrada de Humahuaca and the road to San Antonio de los Cobres were about as impressive as any we have seen anywhere.

I stayed for one week, the hotel is close to the airport, no many places to go around. Inside, there is a bar, breakfast is basic, wi-fi is limited. For few days, is OK.

Such a beautiful, old style hotel. Charming decor, spacious rooms, helpful and friendly staff. Didn't want to leave!!

Our favourite hotel in Salta. We have stayed in 4 hotels in Salta and this is by far our favourite. A small boutique hotel which is very comfortably appointed and maintained to a very good standard. The staff are very professional and extremely nice. Good breakfast including eggs cooked to order and high quality food items. The best location only a moment from the main square, yet the rooms are very quiet. Parking in a garage is available next door. A very relaxing stay.

This is a lovely hotel, which has a rich historical character in keeping with the "centro" of Salta. The location is excellent, just a block away from Plaza 9 de Julio, so you can walk to most every attraction or restaurant and can get easy pick-ups for tours of sites farther away. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and responsive. They even carried up my rather heavy luggage to the second floor. (Hint: There does not appear to be an elevator, so if you have mobility concerns, you should know this.) The staff were helpful with local directions, restaurants, and other services. My room faced an interior courtyard, so if you want a view, you might be disappointed. But all you have to do is walk out the front door and head to Plaza 9 de Julio for one of the best views of a Spanish colonial city I've had the pleasure of seeing. I would most definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend to others.

Fantastic little boutique property in an unbeatable location just a few metres from the main square. The building is gorgeous and has been converted in lovely style with some very pretty touches (tiling, gorgeous bathroom colours). Our room was large and bright and very quiet. Staff were very friendly and super helpful as we needed to leave our luggage 1 night as we went to stay elsewhere. They also have some lovely craft items for sale! Breakfast was plentiful. The only one bad note was that our shower somehow seemed to leak water all over the bathroom floor. Overall, we were just sad that our schedule was so busy we didn't have much time just to sit and enjoy the hotel more!

A comfortable, quiet and well run boutique hotel. Centrally located for ease of exploring historic Salta. Very clean with attentive, amenable staff. Upgraded rooms apparently have a shared balcony. Our regular room had no chairs which meant we had to sit at the foot of the bed. Buffet breakfast included.

One proviso - don't have the room nearest to reception if you want peace and quiet. People's voices seemed to echo really loudly when in reception, and there is a little courtyard right next to that first bedroom where people sat and talked and even had breakfast before 7am.

Cute and cozy boutique hotel steps away from the main plaza of Salta. The location can’t be beat, and the rooms were super clean and nicely decorated. The complementary breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The front desk staff were helpful with recommendations on restaurants. Overall, great experience… Would stay here again.
