Building was nice, view of woods, quiet, comfortable room, room was pretty clean. The biggest negative was the cafeteria. Limited options for a balanced dinner, and really not very good. The table next to us had several people dissatisfied with their meal as well. The only seats available were in the bar, so we were forced to order a drink in order to sit there.

amazing location, friendly staff, eco-friendly. love to stay again

The lodge is new and nicely located in the middle of the park. You can walk from your room to the rim of the canyon for great views of the Yellowstone River and the falls. Rooms have a refrigerator but no microwave. However the cafeteria nearby has one guests can use. Our visit was in mid-October so there was no crowd and the lodge was quiet with only a few guests.

I was there in late October. Very much out of season. The cleanliness was pretty bad even for out of season price range hotels. The room is dated and has a nasty carpet inside. But the location is 10/10.

It’s a nice hotel on a great location bit there is no TV, no microwave, and no AC! Coffee should always be free and available to hotel guests.

Very old, old cabins. Way to much money to stay here. You get a bed an shower and that is it. The windows do not lock and the heat system is terrible. Too hot or too cold. It would have been a tad bit better if you could sit outside the cabin but there are no chairs provided. It also would have been nice to go and sit by a fire at the dining areas as you cant have a fire anywhere. Not a great experience and I would never stay here again.

Horrible mattresses!
Hot inside the rooms! Will not recommend

Rooms need a good deep cleaning. A lot of dust and lent buildup all along the perimeter of the room and beds. The same goes for the bathroom. Large clump of hair left on the floor of the bathroom and urine around the base of the toilet.

As in the ad picture the room would have a balcony, it did not have it. The check-in process was ridiculously lengthy. We arrived at our hotel at 7 pm, I stayed in line for over an hour, the line was about 50 people. After standing in the line for over an hour, the hotel personal did not even say sorry. It was 8:15 we finally in our room, imaging 2 little boys waiting in the car for an hour. By the time we were in our room. My wife and I was so exhausted.

Check in was a little confusing. The premises were clean but had to leave the prioerty to eat. Nice quiet clean comfortable room but no tv.

Wi-Fi only in lobby and very slow.
Make a reservation in restaurant early.

The hotel is too expensive for the actual hotel condition and amenities but what you are paying for is location. We ended up shortening our stay by two days. The food at the Canyon Village was mediocre at best. The other restaurants throughout Yellowstone were better but about 45 min drive or more to each one. This is centrally located to visit various parts of Yellowstone, but at $400 to $500 a night, next time we might just rent an RV and bring our own food. Laundry facilities were available, which is a plus if needed.

Disappointed hotel did not have a television or Internet. The bathroom had mold in and along the shower and bathtub.

Our room was gorgeous. The hotel staff were very friendly. Luke checked me in and was very helpful. He was cheerful to everyone even with lots of people to check in.

Check in was okay although reservation said Canyon Lodge and there was no building that said that. We checked in at Washburn and stayed in Cascade. It was quite a hike to get food in Canyon Village Our room was clean and well stocked with clothes free and toiletries. We were lucky enough to have fridge and decent internet. No TV or A/C. We were on the ground floor and I heard a lot of activity from the floor above, even at night. If I stayed again it would ask for annuoee floor.

All was great except for the food

Our overall experience was merely adequate. The food pretty terrible. The property really basic, rudimentary. Our coffee maker didn’t work and some of the lights in the room didn’t work. A very mediocre hotel although the shower was surprisingly good!

No elevator no tv no ac no microwave and a bed that must have been 40 years old

Decent place. No ability/information to contact “front desk” from room to handle questions & issues. Food was mediocre at best.

They need more staff.Check in there was only one person most of the time. Same for the coffee/ snack bar, only one person. The wait is awful, pack your patience...We stayed for 4 days and couldn't get anyone to clean our room. They dropped off towels once and then after we asked for toilet paper and more towels and washcli which we still didn't receive the wash clothes. We also had to ask for them to empty our trash. The food was good enough in the restaurants but they offered little selection. They had the same thing the whole time we were there. A TV in the room would of been nice to have too The rooms are nice enough but won't stay that way with out any housekeeping. They also need better lighting in the rooms. I could see to read. Over Priced for the poor service quality!

This hotel is in the park. Just be aware there's no a/c which was not needed when I stayed. The parking is crazy. Had to park extremely far away from the hotel and the parking lot is very dark due to their reduced light pollution policy. Make sure your have a flashlight. Foot is available but far away from the hotel. Very expensive for what you get but i guess because you are in the park.

Room was clean and comfortable. Centrally located in park, so that was great. Woods and sound of stream right outside window--lovely. Fridge in room but no microwave. WiFi is terrible and there is not much cell service. No air conditioning. Food is downright horrible and overpriced. Bring as much food and drinks with you as you can. Microwaves are available in some public areas.

Food selection and veriaty is poor

We were unaware there was no town nearby, strictly a large resort. It was quite expensive for a room lacking a TV, microwave or clothes bureau. There were a couple of small shelves however. The food options we saw online prior to booking looked good however the restaurants are all part of the resort and provide cafeteria type food. It was disappointing.

Great place to stay, but not much dinning options, at least not in September when we went

The property was overpriced for the room condition

The room was great and refreshed. Nice room. Dinner options not so great in the area was expecting more and the only burger option closed already at 1700. Which is early if you are staying in the park

Beautiful place. Nice size rooms, great amenities, very nice experience. Everything clean and top notch.

On the Plus side, it is INSIDE Yellowstone, Minus - NO A/C, No Elevator. For the $$ it is not worth it. One would expect for that much, there would at least be a tv if you are tired. Have some kind of option to relax and watch Something. We needed TWO Fans - it was 85 degrees and never cooled down with the windows open. SUGGESTION: two ceiling fans in the room. Maybe that would help. You can stay in W Yellowstone or Gardiner, MT (about 1 hr away)if you don't mind driving back to the park area if you need a/c and would like tv to watch after a long day hiking the park....and it would cost less for ONE night (we paid $340!)

These cabins are perfect 2 bedroom units with a kitchen with everything except an oven. Great place to stay in West Yellowstone

We were only there for one night, the beds were very comfortable!

Asked for daily housekeeping and didn’t get it 3 out of 4 days. Refrigerator in the room was too cold and froze everything in it. Bathroom is very small.

Loved the location. We got to see lots by staying in the park.

One had to wait 1/2 an hour at the check inn counter. The lodge is much too expensive for what you get!

The Canyon Lodges were very nice overall. The rooms were updated and clean. The location is probably the most central for hitting every destination in the park, which was probably the highlight.
The biggest con was the food (at the time we went). There were not many options and while everything was alright, nothing particularly stood out as memorable. This worked for our group as we primarily cared about seeing everything at the park, but for travelers who would prioritize fine dining, Old Faithful Inn had the best restaurant. I will say that the Canyon Lodge's cafeteria did have some vegetarian options, so that was helpful.

So we were in the cabins and they were just ok. Honestly the location is amazing and so was the staff- but the cabin needs a lot of TLC. It was very stinky and musty smelling and needed new carpet. Like there was gum stuck on the carpet. And the curtains were broken and old….like dirt from the 70’s old. But back to location- it doesn’t get any better. Steps from the Canyon hike to the falls. Scar the Bison walked by.

There was a bison taking a nap right outside our property. Loved the location and the ease at which it allowed us to take all of Yellowstone in. The room was clean. The beds somewhat uncomfortable and there was no shower curtain in the bathroom. All things that would not prevent me from going back by any means. I will say i wont be eating there again. The food at the lodge was cafe style, not tasty, and made me sick later that evening. All in all, the experience was great minus a few minor setbacks. We also appreciated the pet friendly atmosphere for my pup.

Very cleaning.
