Carinas has a great location and is close to the main strip and beaches. However the shortest path cuts through a highway and unpaved path, which feels sketchy after dark. In addition, we had a couple issues at the beginning and end of our stay that dampened the experience. When we first arrived, the bed was set up with two twins instead of a king like we reserved. It was fixed quickly, but we found out that a "king" bed is just two twins pushed together with a large sheet over them. Then, on the day of checkout, we were woken up at 8:30AM by the property manager who said she wasn't able to contact us and was wondering if we needed a taxi called. I checked my phone and she had texted me 6 minutes before knocking on the door. While this was a nice gesture, she should have reached out the night before or sometime not at 8AM and found out we had already called our own. Furthermore, the bathroom emitted weird smells the whole time and we had to close the door so it didn't spread to the rest of the room. The bathroom window was not fully covered and we had to put a towel over it ourselves. I'd recommend Carinas for the location, but would not come back again for reasons mentioned above. It did not meet my expectations for a clean, relaxing place to stay while on vacation.

The studio was clean, had a great hot rain shower, a comfortable bed, and new-looking AC that worked well. Marlon was very friendly and helpful. She offered complimentary drinks on arrival, and was available throughout the stay if needed. The room was well stocked with beach towels and chairs, cooking utensils, and even a blender for smoothies. The patio was a great place to sit in the shade and enjoy the breeze. I would stay here again for sure!

We had an amazing experience at Cariñas for nine days while staying in Aruba. Fully equipped apartment, ready for any kind of trip. We cooked breakfast in our kitchen most mornings to save some money on food. The owners and hostess are all super friendly and hospitable. The semiweekly cleaning is smooth and thorough. The location is great: just minutes from the beach and all sorts of restaurants, but in a calm and quiet residential area. Absolutely zero complaints. I would highly recommend this place for anyone coming to Aruba.

This place is fabulous. My favorite place I’ve stayed on the island! Walking distance to the high-rise District, shops and entertainment, wacky Wahoos, and do look for an Italian restaurant that is not advertised called Anna Maria‘s-also a short walk. We stayed in the Bungalow which was spacious and very clean. The property is well managed and we enjoyed welcome drinks upon arrival. Also walking distance to the beach or a short drive to one of several noteworthy beaches. Great private porch area including a hammock tied to a couple of palm trees. If I had to give any knock it is I did not find the bed very comfortable, but my son said his was very comfortable. So this is more a matter of preference. I’ll try his bed next time, as this place has three beds in two bedrooms. Also a complete kitchen with all of the amenities.

I loved my stay at Cariñas! The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the beach chairs and snorkel equipment and the location was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the street was peaceful. The location was great for access to Palm Beach which is an easy walk away. I would highly recommend staying here.

We LOVED the Carinas bu Gamow. Our first visit to Aruba and the location was awesome. 5 minute or so walk to the beach but you do have to cross a fairly busy road. Accommodations were great and we especially enjoyed the shower. Bu Gamow has 4 beach chairs and a couple of coolers along with freezer packs. These all really came in handy and were appreciated. There are TVs in both bedrooms and in the family room though we didn’t really use them. Marlon was very responsive to our few texts. Helped us with restaurant recommendations and called a taxi for us to get back to the airport. We would stay here again in a nanosecond. Couldn’t have been happier.

Very nice stay at a reasonable price. About a 7 - 10 minute walk to the beautiful beach. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Friendly hosts ready to help. Studio rooms are very well equipped with everything one would need. Very clean and comfortable. Private neighborhood location.

We had an amazing stay. It’s only a short walk to the beach, restaurants and mini mart. The hostess is super friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone thinking of going to Aruba.

The property and rooms were very clean. Rosemary was very helpfull and pleasant. The place is about a 5 10 minutes walk to the beach which wasn't bad. The main strip is 5 minutes away. I would definitely stay here again.

This is an apartment that is very close to the Hilton hotel and all of the restaurants and shops that are near it.

Carinas apartments are very comfortable, well maintained and well located. They supply you with ample beach towels, 2 beach chairs, 2 sets of snorkel gear and even a cooler. About a 5 minute walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Good location (5 min from Palm Beach). A lot of extras were provided: bath- & beach towels, Aruba Aloe soap and shampoo, beachchairs, cooler, hair dryer, iron, ... . Excellent airco. Super friendly owners.

This property was exactly we were looking for. Spacious apartment with all kitchen amentities and a little patio that was nicely decorated. It was near Palm Beach and close to the nightlife area, so we didn't travel back far. Ron and Rosemary were very helpful when we had some issues with our flight. I would definitely go back!

The bungalow was immaculate and perfect for our family to enjoy all the sights of Aruba. Rosemary and Ron are the most gracious hosts. If you want a place of your own while avoiding all the touristy resorts, look no further than Carina’s.

Carinas offers closeness to the beach, nightlife, and restaurants. The bungalow is spacious with all the touches of home. Ron and Rosemary are very attentive to the needs of the guests and goes above and beyond to ensure that guests have the best experience on the island. I highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to Aruba.

I loved the location we were able to walk to the Moomba Beach and the strip each day. It was quiet and although it was a little secluded area we felt safe with the locked gate. Ron, the owner, was helpful with getting a taxi when we needed it. The only con I would say is the furniture could use some updating and the bed was very firm, but it was not enough to keep me from staying there again.

What makes this place so unique is the outstanding customer service we receive each time we visit. Honestly, we were thrown off by how excellent the customer service was. Ron goes above and beyond to make our stay feel like home. He will arrange taxi rides for you, make reservations for anything you are interested in, and he always recommends the best restaurants. He'll tell you anything you need to know about Aruba (what to do/what's a waste of money). This is great if it's your first time in Aruba, or out of the country. You will NOT get this personal service at a hotel. We have stayed here twice in the past 9 months. We loved it that much!! The property is located in a convenient area. It is less than a 5 minute walk to get to get to the shops and less than 7 minutes to get to the beautiful beaches.

We do not look for hotels. We like the mom and pop places that are very down to earth. Carinas has two wonderful owners and their facilities are fantastic. They went out of their way to make our stay just great. You need to stay here...

Good experience at Carinas, I've always stayed on a resort/hotel when in the Caribbean but overall, my stay didn't disappoint. The apartments are a 10-15min walk to many restaurants and the beach, few areas on the beach to get drinks and food too. The mall is 5mins away. Beach chairs are provided for you in the room but didn't have a car to carry it so just rented one at the beach for $5 (near Riu palace). Room is pretty clean, beach towels are provided, you have a kitchen and utensils if planning to cook. Only con would be there was barely any hot water, it came at certain times during the night (Luke warm) but it was fine, wasn't in the room most of the time anyway. Renting a car would probably make life easier especially if you have small children. It poured on of the days spent and it was a hassle trying to leave the room because many areas/walkways were flooded or you can call a cab! Rosemary and Ron were very sweet and pleasant, do not hesitate to call them with any issues, they will take care of it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carinas. It is a little walk to the beach, but it is worth it. Ron and Rosemary took great care of us. They have beach towels, a cooler, as well as snorkeling gear in the room ready for you. There is also a nice sitting area in the courtyard as well as some hammocks. There was also a 15% discount at several restaurants in the area for staying at Carinas studio apartments. All in all, I can't say enough about our stay. It was well worth it.

If you're looking for a place close to the beach, shopping and night life for a fraction of what others charge then this is your spot. Everything is within walikng distance and the owners are marvelous. You won't regret your stay. So quaint, quiet and peaceful.

Our studio apartment at Carinas was very comfortable, clean, and secure. The property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood away from the high-rise hotel area. While it is walking distance to the beach, you have to cross a main road to get there, and it seemed like many people drove fast and aggressively, so take care! Our apartment was also walking distance from a small convenience store/food mart and a couple fast food places, and driving distance from a larger supermarket. Carinas staff was extremely polite and helpful. They provided us with information about the island (like currency exchange info, driving or walking directions), gave us maps and coupons, and offered to assist if we wanted to rent a car, book a tour, etc. My only minor complaint is that it was sometimes difficult to communicate with staff in a timely manner. They said email is best (and we did not have international cell phone capabilities), however when we were away from the apartment we did not always have wifi access. So this resulted in a few missed connections and long waits in between messages, but it was not a big problem in the long run. Overall it was a great experience, and we would stay there again if we come back to visit Aruba.
