Room is basic but comfortable. Bathroom needs updating stained toilet and bath.

Hotel room was a single room, as required, but a lot smaller than have experience elsewhere. The room was tired and bath room was the same. Breakfast on the first day, at 8.00am was reasonably acceptable. On the following day however was scheduled for 0900, which we had not been made aware, so upset plans. Also there were further days, and breakfast not deliverd until 9.45.!!!!

What makes this hotel really is the location and the wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble and they really couldn’t do enough to please . Friendly, lovely old coaching inn . If you are bothered about creaky floorboards and you can’t manage stairs it’s not for you . Oozing with character and charm. We ate there in the evening and the food was really excellent quality , Breakfast was also very good. The only criticism I could possibly have is that the housekeeper needs to pay a bit more attention to the bathroom cleanliness. Nothing really major but a lot of timescale and a fair bit of black mould on the shower which could have easily been cleaned off . Shame or it would have been perfect .

It's a gorgeous old (14th C?) building. The staff were great and we enjoyed the food. Would stay there again.

Good period Hotel in the centre of town with it's own private car park. Easy walk to the railway station.

Was in Room 26.. I still have a bruise on my head from the rather sharp edged low beam. Everything else was lovely.

Lovely looking building. Rooms were tired but comfortable. Bedroom window did not shut so had to sleep with it open. ( not a problem for us and it was a warm night) however our room was above the pub and the music did not really stop until well after midnight. Bathroom was up a couple of steps. Shower ok. Sink too big for room to the point that you had to squeeze yourself pass the sink and shower to go to the toilet. Bathroom needs to be updated and needs to be cleaned to a better standard than what was presented. Staff were lovely but we would not return there. A shame.

I would like to thank the staff for a great stay at the Vine, in particular Yvette, who was most helpful, hardworking and a pleasure to talk to.I really enjoyed my stay.

Ideally situated close to Stafford town centre. Excellent care from Yvette and Sophie. Good food. Value for money room. Downside- steep stairs for my injured knees.

I enjoyed my stay. It was a lovely old building with all the quirks. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The staff were friendly and vey helpful!!

Beautiful old building. Friendly, helpful staff. Good dining. Some of the fittings in the shower room could do with a bit more tlc but overall, a good, comfortable stay.

Lovely historic hotel at a great price. Room and facilities are basic but clean and well presented. Staff were lovely, location was great, and free parking on site. Stayed with family, and they have a breakfast deal for kids which made it very affordable. Would stay again when visiting Stafford.

Very helpful and welcoming staff, that’s the plus points. Can see why it was the cheapest hotel in the area. Got woken up at 6am by the pub bins being emptied outside the room. Overall the rooms need some work.

It’s ok for the price. Helpful staff, good parking, worn out rooms, Stafford town is a bit tired too.

Have been staying here before. Lovely old building from the 18th century. The staff are so very friendly and the breakfast was to die for 😃

Great pub, old charm and close to all the amenities Stafford has to offer, the rooms are cheap so expect to get what you pay for! Great staff and very welcoming. Would stay again if we were ever in Stafford again.

Quirky building. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Lovely friendly hosts and a pub hotel that does what it says on tin. Decent sized rooms for a short to medium stay. No aircon, but that wouldn’t be a problem mostly. The windows open properly so you can get a breeze if it’s hot out. Good food in the pub and a well priced, tasty breakfast.

Terrible. Absolute terrible. Filthy. Leaking. Staff that seemed completely drunk. Overpriced poor breakfast options. Can not recommend for anyone to stay here for the price they charge for a room

Bed was comfy and the surroundings were quiet so a good nights sleep was had, however the room was very dusty, the carpet was badly stained, the shower head needs replacing and the TV remote and glasses were dirty

Quaint and old hotel showing it’s age. Could do with a revamp. But comfortable giving us a good sleep. Nice bar. Plenty of outdoor space. Friendly staff. Would stay again.

Bathroom door frame had blood on it, last guests old coffee package on floor. Loud Music playing in Courtyard at 7am.

Food was great. Broken kettle plug and very low water pressure were the only downfalls.

We enjoyed the place and the team, very friendly and welcoming and it was a nice place to get to the trains, shops etc

Everything was excellent i would stay there again and recommend it to other people
