Lovely welcome from Michael .who even parked our car and brought our bags in.rooms are very clean and modern and hotel is in a great location for the shops and bars . Had a fantastic stay .full marks to our hosts highly recommend.will definitely go back

Perfect B&B Hotel for a visit to Southport. Well-located and very friendly/helpful owners. We had Room 5 which was spacious with 2 chairs by the window.

The service was wonderfull. The staff are very friendly .

I stayed 2 nights in room 7 (a single room). Very pleasant greeting from the owners upon arrival, the room was decorated in a modern and pleasing style. I didn't really have the option to spend much time at the hotel during the day, but can say that the room itself was very quiet at night, and due to the location I thought I might have noticed noise from local bars/clubs...but not a dickybird. Would highly recommend from my experience.

Lovely well situated guest house with great hosts

After reading all the other reviews i can see why the rating is as good as it is. Absolute fantastic stay at this hotel. Very handy location for the attractions and shops restaurants bars and sea front all within a short walk. I was greeted with a very welcoming and warm smile by the owner Michael. After checking, i was shown to my room with a brief explanation of how things worked within the room. This was helpful but not given in patronising manner. Breakfast smelt beautiful and it looked like most of the other guests had breakfast most morning, i didn't only because i had other arrangements. Checking out was very simple and painless. I would stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

The trip was absolutely amazing! From the get go Mike and Trish were attentive, friendly, and overall wonderful hosts. Considering we booked so last minute, we expected the price to be a lot higher than it was! We can’t fault the stay AT ALL. You really felt like a valued customer here. Always asked how we felt, gave us recommendations on where to go, and made time to talk to us each morning about our day. I’d definitely book again. Thank you both!

Excellent location near to all attractions, beach, pier, shops and rail station. Superbly maintained B&B inside and out Great hosts - friendly and attentive Only slight downsides were smallish bedroom and (late for me) breakfast at 0830 Cannot imagine anyone would be disappointed.

Very hospitable hosts - nothing too much trouble. Very clean hotel in good location for pubs & restaurants. Alcoholic drinks also available from honesty bar in lounge.

Very central hotel, within walking distance of everything in Southport. I had a warm, comfortable single room with a spotless en suite. Mike and Trish are friendly and hospitable hosts and breakfast was great. I would certainly recommend the Braemar.

This was our first stay here but it will not be our last we was greeted as friends and made to feel at home straight away.The hotel is spotless and has everything you need plus more the bed was really comfy and the bedding crisp and clean we had breakfast on our last morning which was all good quality products and really filling.The hotel is in a really good location near the pier and Lord St all in all we could not fault anything about our stayat the hotel and will be returning very soon

Made most welcome by Michael and Trish. Michael assisted with parking and baggage, not that we needed it but it was a good start to a relaxing break. Found accomodation overall spotless and lovely decor. Very homely and relaxing atmosphere all round. Good freshly cooked ample breakfast. Close to all amenities and attractions. Will no hesitate to return.

The property was very clean, tastefully decorated and furnished making it very homely and welcoming. Michael, the proprietor and his partner were very nice and accommodating. Adequate measures had been fulfilled re Covid 19 so we felt safe and reassured during our stay. The house is conveniently situated close to all amenities and attractions. Our room was lovely with en suite bathroom and a very comfortable bed, ensuring a good night's sleep. My husband was particularly impressed with the TV having Netflix on it! The cooked breakfasts were delicious home cooked food, catering for any dietry needs and preferences. Nothing was too much trouble. Overall, we really enjoyed our weekend in Southport and will choose Braemar should we return in the future.

Just had a very nice stay at the Braemar this weekend - very close to everything you might want to walk to. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, and I was in Room 2 (a single) on the first floor, which was recently refurbished and, although small, was nice and comfortable, with a tiny but ok bathroom. The inclusion of USB ports in the wall sockets is very handy, and saved me from using adapters all over the place. Only comments about the bathroom would be that the glass shelf above the toilet would be much more useful above the sink for toothbrush and other bathroom bits and pieces... There's plenty of space for it there, so may be worth a thought... Also, the 'Power Shower' is extremely weak and more of a trickle! There is a very nice lounge room for all guests to use, although I'd be surprised if anyone ever does! The honesty bar is a nice touch too. Breakfast was nice, although the veggie version is just the omission of the meat, without the addition of veggie sausages or anything, which would've been nice. The main problem with breakfast is that if, like me, you're not a 'morning person', the strict breakfast window of 8.30-9.00 seems somewhat unnecessarily early, but I still managed 2 out of 3 mornings for brekkie... Nothing's getting me up at 8.30 on a Sunday morning, I'm afraid... All in all a very nice stay and I would return if I'm staying in Southport again!

This place has lovely staff (this was my second visit!) and good breakfasts. Quiet rooms.
