We got sick our first night there and my husband had a fall. The staff was FANTASTIC (especially Luigi, Mia, Martha & Carlotta.) We so appreciated their care and concern. We would have been lost without their help.
We are extremely grateful for their hospitality under every circumstance!

ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS EVER!!! The service here is absolutely above and beyond, you could not ask for better people! Special thank you to Maria and Victoria in the breakfast area, they found me a good sized tray and personally helped me to bring my husband breakfast in bed when he wasn't feeling good. I'd also like to recognize the guy with the nose ring behind the bar, I didn't catch his name, but he recommended a wonderful whisky for my husband that really helped with his cold symptoms lol. World class people working there, the rooms are good too (big bathrooms and elevators are NOT something to take for granted in Europe). Honestly though, it's the people working there that set the place apart. They even had a taxi bring my passport to the airport when I was stupid enough to forget it in my room! Also, the restaurant food is legitimately delicious! You really get top tier fine dining caliber food, I would especially recommend the Margherita pizza. Excellent location too, beautiful views of St. Patrick's Cathedral from our rooms and a short walk to multiple convenience shops. If you're looking for a hotel in Dublin, you won't be sorry you picked this one!!

I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago & loved it(newer hotel/breakfast included with our stay), but it’s looking a little worse for wear, especially in the bathrooms(grout in floor needs to be cleaned/bleached or repainted & sealed), doors of the bathroom have paint peeling on them & carpets have stains in the rooms. Just time for some maintenance/uogrades. Otherwise, wonderfully accommodating/friendly staff & fantastic location!

Emailed months in advance that we were staying on after a tour and asked to stay in the same room. Worked for first leg of the trip but not the last. Lost 1/2 day of tour time having to pack and move. Manager on duty was not helpful at all - we were very disappointed. Rooms were very warm and it was hard to get them cooled off. We had a wonderfully helpful woman in the restaurant.

Room was roomy and quaint. We did have a street facing window so it was a little noisy but we knew this going in and it didn’t bother us. The only downside was that there is no ventilation in the bathroom so it starts to smell a little like mildew if you don’t leave the bathroom door open. Not a big deal to us since it happens at other hotels as well. Otherwise the hotel is pretty close to all majors attractions and locations within Dublin.

Basic hotel with ridiculously little parking but very nice staff and excellent location right inside the wall. A little noisy at night but we had everything we needed and would stay again.

The breakfast buffet was great. Be sure to buy it ahead to save a little. The is float across the street from St Patrick's Cathedral. We walked to the Guinness Storehouse and to Temple Bar. Nice place if you like a little walking.

Stayed at this Maldron hotel twice in 2 years, booking multiple rooms andboth times I've had issues at check in. Problematic for them when each room is being paid separately but reserved under one name among other issues. Staff are all very good, pleasant and cheerful. Rooms could use a few tweeks, like making sure the thermos works properly and burned out lightbulbs are replaced without being told. There were other issues but would make too long a story probably last time for this hotel for us which is to bad it is a great location.

The hotel was clean. The staff were great (thanks, Owen). The room that we upgraded to was very cramped and the extra amenities were not justified by the price. The AC shuts off after about an hour. No tissues! Food in the restaurant was…okay.
2.5
Walking distance to a lot of sites.

This hotel needs a serious renovation, the A/C is controlled by the front desk which is weird and inconvenient, the public restroom was the worst in all of the hotels we stayed in Ireland. The breakfast buffet was good and the access to the bus to the airport was very convenient.
4.0
Location was good. Staff are great. The Dublin Express drops you off in front of the hotel and it’s just a quick walk around the corner to get the return shuttle back. Spar is a short walk.
Walkable to many attractions (about 15-20 depending on how fast you walk)
No mini fridge in the room (would be nice to keep sandwiches for early morning day trips) pillows are on the fluffier side (my neck wasn’t happy). Last night there was moved into another room (had two separate bookings). It was awful. Room 101 - an accessible room - no counter space in the bathroom, noise travelled from upstairs and side neighbour (not sure why I heard tables being dragged across the floor from upstairs room).
5.0
Ordering a cab from the front desk and the use of a keycard to access elevator area and elevator.
2.0
Great location - a LITTLE away from the busiest areas (and night-time noise), but easy walking distance to everywhere. Our room had a view of St. Patrick's Cathedral. The hotel handles groups efficiently and effectively. Staff in the breakfast area work hard and fast. As a self-admitted fussy coffee person, plan on stopping at a cafe for better coffee.

The lights inside the room we stayed in were not working when we checked in, was fixed the next day. The tv was faulty, volume kept fluctuating. Beds were very tiny like toddlers beds, we could barely change positions while sleeping. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good with lots of food and beverages options.

Good hotel

This hotel was a real disappointment in an otherwise wonderful trip to Dublin. First, why no top sheet on the bed? You are either under a hot duvet or nothing. The bed was so uncomfortable and the pillows were pancakes. No washcloths for the bathroom and the way the shower is designed will leave a lot of water on the floor that the small bathmat cannot absorb.
Note to future travelers – laundry facilities (where you can do your own laundry) and laundry services (where they send it out) are the same thing at this hotel. Which was very irritating, considering it is one of the reasons I booked it. Instead, I had to send out our laundry that came back dirty. Infuriating!
The restaurant is AWFUL. I wish I’d just skipped dinner.
The only thing keeping this from a 1 star review is that the staff was very nice (and apologetic for things that weren’t under their control).
We will be back to Dublin in the future, but will steer clear of this hotel.

Located within walking distance to centre of Belfast with shops, restaurants and bars a stone throw away. Staff are fantastic, called ahead to offer setting up a cot for baby and really helpful with arranging taxis where needed. Breakfast made to order was good. Rooms are spacious and hotel areas are really cool. Great stay will be first choice for future visits

Perfect hotel for a visit to Dublin. Rooms are small, but they all are in this city. Rooms and whole hotel were very clean and staff was outstanding!! We would stay here again for sure.

The staff, including the late night staff are terrific and helpful. The hotel was clean, well priced and centrally located.

Wonderful hotel with a very friendly staff and great location!!

It appeared to be a newer or recently renovated hotel.
The rooms were very small and overpriced.
Cleaning staff were good, however, they tend to leave the room doors ajar while off working on other rooms. We came back to our room in the afternoon and found the door ajar with no one obviously in sight or to be found. I waited an hour before calling the front desk to find out if someone would be back to the room to complete the service. A manager arrived shortly thereafter and provided poor reasons why our room was left insecure and unattended. There were several rooms on our floor that had their doors left ajar. Not a good feeling not knowing how long the room had been left unattended or who may have been in 5here other than staff.

Staff were excellent but totally overpriced. Our room was fine however quite small for a family room and the bathroom door was badly damaged . When I pay over 500 euros for 1 night I expect a higher spec room and breakfast to be included . In addition we were not provided with enough towels .. only 2 for 3 people. Again at 500 euros I expect correct number of towels in the room without asking. Also we requested a late check out & had to pay an extra 10 euros!!! Again should not have been charged for 1 extra hour!!! I appreciate this is city centre location but we have stayed in lots of other hotels in Dublin for less & had all the above included.

I got placed in an accessible room which was not what I paid for or requested. The bathroom was moldy, smelly and the sink was for children. The outlets in the room didn’t work. The room was dusty and smelly. I asked to be moved to the room size/type I paid for, but the management refused. I’d avoid this hotel.

It was close to other family members that were in a nearby hotel. Clean. Staff friendly.
Didn't like that there was no a la carte breakfast available. Neighborhood sometimes loud.

Hotel is registered for Expedia & Hotels . Com as VIP service but it doesn’t offer any of the benefits
When asked if there was availability for an early check in as a VIP status they told me no, but that if I wanted to pay there would be. ??? IF there’s availability then Expedia VIP guests should be offered as it is one of the benefits of registering in a VIP property. To be honest I selected between similar hotels this one because of the added benefits, to my surprise the only benefit they respect is 20% in food and beverages: but wait it gets worse, the 20% is only valid ONCE per all your stay, so this was a scam and THIS HOTEL SHOULDN'T BE REGISTERED AS VIP TREATMENT
Also, at the check in the front desk asked for my email to email me once my room was ready, well they never did. I arrived ~2:30 pm and they were like oh yes it’s ready! Without any try to contact me so this could’ve been a good experience but it was not
Hotel location was good but shower drains were not

Not 4 stars. Tiny rooms. Dull hotel

Staff was as accommodating as possible within the limitations of the hotel. They were the strongest asset of our stay.
3.0
Very old and rundown hotel, that our up to date/location power adapters wouldnt accommodate for need to have C-Pap medical equipment. Had to borrow an extension cord to cross the room from 1 available plug to nite table. Parking under hotel was inaccessible for our vehicle and didnt feel safe in neighborhood. Shower in room updated but water sprayed out the opening leaving for a very water-warped door that didnt latch when closed. Food in restaurant was good but crowded and very noisy to have a table discussion. Staff was trying to cope with outdated and rundown conditions.

Great experience! Will definitely stay here again.

Great value, quiet rooms, air conditioning (which you don't get in many hotels in Ireland) and a restaurent on site made for lovely stay. Everything is walkable (15-20 min) or the hop on, hop off Dublin tour bus sopt in 3 min walk from the hotel.

The breakfast was good. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We paid for parking on site. Then found there was very limited parking on site, like 16-20 spaces for a 6 story hotel. We ended up parking a 10 minute walk up the street. If you have limited parking, only sell enough passes for the number of spaces you have on site.

Great location, walking distance to everything. Very happy with our room which was spacious with large windows. Great service from the staff at the hotel. Only recommendation would be to have a mini fridge in the room, and the beds were slightly too firm. A major olus was it was right next to the bus stop for the Dublin Express to/from the airport (Portobello Kevin St)

Fairly small room for three. Bathroom had traces of water damage, could use a renovation. Bathroom fan was on at all times, impossible to turn off and loud at night. Convenient location in central Dublin. Decent place to stay overall but would probably not book again.

The location was great and easy to walk to the city center from here. Staff was helpful during check in and helped us with getting a spot in their underground parking. The room was clean and quiet. We were leaving Dublin early the next day so weren't able to try their breakfast.

Beautiful clean rooms, great location, walkable to all the attractions.
