10 ladies rented the house for a bachlorette party- coming from as close as Crawfordville to as far away as Michigan. We had an absolute flamazing time! The house was perfect for us! From coffee on the front porch to rain day and late nights around the downstairs bar, the beautiful beach, the pool, and sunset golfcart rides! We tried to be on our best behavior- but when you get that many women together for a weekend of freedom, let's just say that we hope we don't owe the neighbors any kind of apology! A weekend we will never forget! It truly was Almost Heaven!

The house was great! We liked that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The house was very clean, and in a great location. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. Lots of games to play and a bar area under the house that we utilized quite a bit.

Nice layout with each room having its own bathroom. Covered bar area was a great place to unwind after a sandy-sun day on the beach. The home is comfortable with plenty of space for 8 adults to spread out and not be on top of each other. The home is nicely decorated without being overly “beachy”.
We’ve rented various houses on SGI for the past 10 years and this one is definitely a top.

This property was very nice and was a good fit for our short getaway.
A couple of negatives: I contacted the property owner twice before we visited with questions and received no reply. I did reach out to Vacasa and they got back to me. The pool is supposed to be heated but it was not, at least it wasn't while we were there. Don't count on a heated pool.
Otherwise, I would say everything else was as advertised.

Great location and laid out well for a group. Has some great options to entertain, from the large patio, to the pool and backyard, to underneath the house. Especially like the four bathrooms, so no one had to fight over them. A very quick walk to the beach to watch a sunrise. Loved it all around. St. George Island has a lot to offer for such a small island.

The home was will equipped and comfortable, and a good location, just a short walk to the beach. It was easy to check in and check out. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Everything you need is there! Pool, outdoor bar w/tv on huge covered area and a golf cart! House was well stocked and very comfortable. Short walk to the beach.

The house was beautiful, definitely made you feel like you were in a movie beach house. The pool was perfect along with the lighted cabana.
Kitchen was great to cook in and location to the beach and grocery store was very nice.

Almost Heaven is a great name for this home. We have visited SGI several times and this is one of our favorite houses. We travel as a group of 7 or 8 with dog(s). This home was perfect layout. One floor, each bedroom was at a separate corner of the home. Each has own bath, so no sharing. The home is nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. The pool is awesome, and we got some use of the bar under the house, too. It’s a great covered area where we played cornhole and other games. Nice to have that shaded/covered area. Also, the covered gazebo area poolside came in handy during the one rain storm we had and to get a break from the sun when needed. We also paid extra to rent the golf cart, first time we did that. Well worth it. Definitely will consider renting this house again!

Perfect base for a St George vacation, with plenty of room for adults and kids. Kitchen is well-appointed and has everything you need to cook (or not cook!) and serve your meals. You can tell it has been recently touched up with new paint, furniture, granite counters, etc - really a lovely beach home. A short walk to the beach. Definitely recommend the golf cart for exploring the island and checking out the sunset on the bay side.

We stayed for a week at Almost Heaven and loved every minute of it. The house is perfectly situated on the Island, convenient to the bridge, shops and stores and not too far from the state park. It is a perfect layout for two families, with older kids or younger kids. We were able to enjoy a number of dinners at home in the well stocked kitchen, and the common space was great for entertaining. The outdoor space is my favorite part, however - one of the larger private pools you will find on the Island, and the tiki bar, fully equipped with speakers and TV, is the perfect spot for College Game Day. Quick ride or walk to the beautiful beach. Highly recommend Almost Heaven!

This was our second stay at this amazing beach house! Another great time with all our friends! The house has everything !! Great kitchen with plenty of everything you need down to the garbage bags and paper towels ! Love the 4 BR with the 4 BA lending so much privacy and comfort for all! Comfy common area with plenty of seating for eating and hanging out! The pool is awesome with the hot tub and tons of chairs and then there’s the Tiki Hut ... my husband’s favorite area! Great party area! The Golf Carts , the location .. got it all ! We love it and had such a great time again!! We will see y’all again July with our family...parents , siblings, nieces and nephews! Can’t wait and thanks again !

We have stayed several times at Almost Heaven. It is perfectly comfortable. Very well decorated. The bedrooms are comfortable. A great kitchen to cook in even for a big family gathering. The pool and and Jacuzzi were perfect.. Like the privacy of the pool area. A great place to relax and read a number of books.Teh ground level Tiki type bar and grill was great for a fun time Teh house is a nice 10 block quite distance from the Lighthouse several square block restaurant business intersection of St. Georges Island. just a block off the beach, but that means 5 star privacy. St. George is a perfect place to enjoy a quite vacation, it is so wonderful. to be away from the terrible/ horrible high rise condo towns that have destroyed much of Florida`s water front/ beach beauty. The access bridge to St. Georges is a beautiful ride in itself. A short distance to pleasant to visit Apalachicola is great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beach house that has it all! The house has been lovingly updated with new paint, new furniture, and charming beach decor. The crystal clear pool is beautiful and a great place to relax after a fun day at the beach. We had breakfast every morning on the screened in front porch and gathered downstairs to enjoy the tiki bar after dinner. There`s even a tv at the tiki bar! The location is ideal to enjoy everything SGI has to offer. We are looking forward to our already scheduled return visit.
