This is an excellent B&B, and the owner Mike provides excellent service, right from even before we checked in all the way through to breakfast and our check out. The accommodations are excellent and comfortable, and the made to order breakfast was amazing. As a bonus, we got to meet the other guests and had some great conversations.

Mike was there to greet us at check in. Gave us a bottle water and a tour of the beautiful home. Bathroom was immaculate. Towels and bathrobes were plush. Bed was comfortable. The portable fan was a welcome addition. Breakfast was fresh, hot and plentiful! And the drive to Cooperstown was lovely.

My wife and I came here to stay when we were on a college family weekend. It’s beautiful. The decor is old colonial- very quaint and notable. Everything is clean and meticulous. The room was private and quiet. Mike asked us what we would like to have for breakfast and he did not disappoint! He served us an all star breakfast! The stay was an amazing overall experience. We would definitely come back.

The property owner called to see when we were arriving so he could meet us and go over our stay. We only stayed one night but the room was very spacious and the bed was oversized and comfortable.

Mike made us feel right at home in his gorgeous B&B. He went above and beyond to keep the guests safe, kept us engaged in conversation and delivered a first-rate breakfast that kept us satisfied all day. If we’re back in Herkimer we’ll return to the Grand Colonial.

Nice stay on our way to the Adirondacks. Safe, clean and comfortable. Very friendly hosts (Yes Brick the dog is very friendly too). Delicious breakfast. The amazing hot chocolate is amazing. The thick cut maple bacon is the best we’ve had. Thank you Mike.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Colonial B&B. Mike made a superb breakfast & the rooms were very comfortable. Brick ( Mikes dog ) always put a smile on our faces with his waggly tale greetings! Also, Mike takes all COVID regulations & cleaning practices very seriously so we felt very safe during our stay. A+++ service!

I chose this Bed and Breakfast based on the proximity to the Baseball Hall of Fame. What a nice surprise! Mike the host was very attentive. He cooked a fabulous breakfast and provide great conversation. My husband and I stayed in the king room and found it very comfortable. The interior of the room and house has a good mix of antiques and modern comfort. I will definitely not only recommend this site to my family and friends I will plan a trip in the near future that will be planned around a stay the Grand Colonial Bed and Breakfast.

This was first time booking a Bed and Breakfast through Expedia and the experience was wonderful. The owner, Mike, has set up this 1800's Colonial with all the comforts of a hotel and the ambiance of a long ago. Bed was very comfortable, there was smart TV, free bottled water and coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Mike prepared an amazing breakfast the next morning. His dog, Brick, was eager to help, cute and totally trained. We were there for only one night from our trip to Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and would recommend to stay here for superior personal service.
