One night stay whilst touring Scotland.

Lovely room and bathroom. Helpful staff. Website should be updated to reflect there is no restaurant on site (only for breakfast). Lots of places around so not a big issue but did expect to be able to get an evening meal as that how it was advertised. I’d stay again though, super location and lovely staff.

The room and property were clean and modern, and staff were nice. Location is very central, right in the heart of Oban, but rooms are well insulated from any noise. I'm only taking off a point because the breakfast buffet was not very good. Skip it and walk to one of the cafes around.

A great stopover if catching a ferry......couldn't think of a better place anywhere we have visited.

Great location in the town centre with good size room. Bathroom was on the smallish side. No evening dining availability was a negative. Friendly staff & good bar/lounge area.

My husband and I recently stayed here on our honeymoon, and we had a great time! We got there early (before check in time), but we were still allowed to park in the lot out back and explore downtown a little while we waited for check-in time. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful, and made my husband a coffee, which he appreciated after a long day of travel! The location itself was super convenient - right near bars, fish and chip restaurants, and shops! Also a quick walk to the pier and harbour. We felt very secure in our room as well, as the hotel required guests to use a security code on the doors if they were coming in after a certain time at night. It felt cozy and welcoming the entire time; we'd definitely recommend!

This is an excellent place to stay when visiting Oban. Great location and the staff were friendly, helpful and check-in/out was easy. The bathroom was clean and had a great rain shower. Parking on-site. Would definitely return.

Such a kind guy at the front desk. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this place. Fantastic location (we didn’t have a car), comfy beds, very clean and amazing staff. As single women, we felt safe, secure and welcome. Thank you for making my first trip to Scotland incredible!

Wonderfully comfortable bed and array of amenities.

Friendly receptionist. Excellent shower - best so far in our trip. Negative comment - the shampoo dispenser didn’t work. Other than that bathroom was well equipped. Lovely fluffy towels. Generous supply of tea/ coffee in the room.

Kevin was brilliant, the hotel is gorgeous and worth the money to stay. The shower is fantastic, one of the best showers I’ve had in a hotel. Hotel is a work in progress at the moment waiting for the restaurant to open but was recommended to go to Markie Dans for a meal. Delicious as well.

Beautiful property with nice, helpful staff. Easy walking distance to docks and marina, in addition to dining options. Only knock is that parking behind building is a bit tight and sparse.

We reserved 2 rooms through Expedia on “Pay There” basis. The property charged us for both rooms prior to us even checking in, which has never happened to us before. Then when we checked in they said they couldn’t find the other reservation and they would try to call Expedia because it must not have been put in, even though I had reservation confirmation. They did get us another room that they also put a charge though for then I had to sit on hold with Expedia for over an hour to try to figure it out. In the end Expedia blamed the hotel and the hotel blamed Expedia, but they did refund the extra room charge upon check out time.

Loved this place. Walkable to all the waterfront of Oban. Staff were engaging, friendly and helpful. The only one minor issue was that the bed was extra firm. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the parking was easy and would highly recommend staying there.

Note that parking is around back of the property, and is tough to see driving on the street. It’s a nice lot though. Oban is walkable, and The Scot is in a good location to walk all of it. No elevator, so might be difficult for people with disabilities to get up steps. No AC, but wasn’t really needed. There was a nice breeze with the windows open. However, the bar across the street was loud, so the windows needed to be closed, and we used the oscillating fan that was provided in the room. Would stay again.

The Scot been recently refurbished and the amenities are great. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Located steps from all the spots in Oban. The bar is welcoming, and the selection of Scotch is very nice.

There are rather odd rules at this hotel. You need to book a specific slot for breakfast, even though it was buffet style. No staff were around to point out that it was self-service, we had to figure it out ourselves. The rather soulless bar (no draught beer) closed early and we were asked to vacate the lounge seating area at 11pm - even though we were not expecting any 'service' - we were just chatting with friends over a nightcap. There is no lift, and no help is given with luggage - I had to help an older fella with his bags. So, all in all, a rather soulless hotel, devoid of any real service. I wouldn't go back

Loved the location, the staff were very friendly, and the rooms were great. Had real Canadian King sized beds!!
