The breakfast was decent and there was a wide variety of options, including healthy options. There were even chefs that could prepare you pancakes, French toast, and omelets. However the breakfast was served at Los Arcos Resort and Spa, not Los Arcos Suites. You have to walk to the other hotel for every meal if you want to eat, which is difficult for handicapped people.
Some food didn’t have much flavor, and some hotel staff (not most) were slightly rude and unhelpful (for example a repairman came to fix the phone that didn’t work, but after ten minutes of “repairs” and claiming it was fixed, the phone still didn’t work and nothing was done about it during our entire stay). When reasonable complaints were made (such as not being given water for the day, the room smelling strongly of paint whenever we turned the AC on, and construction waking us up multiple days during the middle of the night) nothing was done about it and staff refused to give us water, saying we would have to go out and buy some ourselves (this was also at night). The folding/pull out bed was very difficult to assemble at night, and not even the staff could fix it. This was very inconvenient since we had an elderly woman that had to sleep on it. A used sponge was left under the sink to wash the dishes, so we had to buy a new one. The toilet was also dirty when we got there. The TV had options for Netflix and YouTube but neither of them worked. When we asked to switch rooms, we were refused even though other guests were able to be relocated.

I didn’t like booking thru a third party- always saying just one room left -such a con! not allowed to cancel. this is the last time I book thru your company- commission too high.!!!

The location was central in town, lots of great restaurants and bars. The rooms were large and equipped with kitchenettes and the flat screen TV was able to connect to my laptop.
I stayed for 4 nights and housekeeping only came once even though I put the sign on the door asking for it to be made up. My expensive face cream that I just bought went missing after it was cleaned and the safe did not lock. I had to request face cloths and the 2 free bottles of water every day. Their customer service is extremely poor, not too concerned about making the guest happy. Heads up, the bed was extremely firm

Location is amazing, just one bloc from the beach and yet not too noisy, great to have access to the beach with beach lounger and towels provided, he interior architecture and inner courtyard are quite neat, the pool area small but cozy and nice.
Puerto Vallarta is super LGBTQ-friendly, plenty of openly gay couples, tourists and locals alikes, stroll the beach promenade!
Two bottles of water are provided every day.
Cleaning comes through daily, which brings me to "What didn't you like"
Parking is not fun, no valet and a tiny space to park the car. But at least it's locked, wouldn't want to try parking on the street (few parking spots, very tight and busy traffic)
The worst: walking into our junior suite, I immediately noticed the smell of moisture and mold. First I thought it is because of the proximity to the beach and the humid climate. But the air conditions must have leaked into the ceiling for ages and, even though they tried to paint it over, you can see mold all around the AC which blows mold into the room, leaving the smell on all our clothes that we took out of the suitcase and wore inside the apartment. We didn't spend much time in our two-day-stay indoors, otherwise this would be a health hazard. I would not expose kids to the mold. Also: tiny roaches scuttled around the sink...

Location
Bathroom was small and right next to the bed, no hot tub, pool was freezing

The suites is in a great location and is quite quiet. That’s a rare find in Old Town! However, the rooms are in great need of updating. The bathrooms are quite old and the couches are worn out. The bed was very comfortable and the room felt mostly clean.
We mainly used the facilities at the sister hotel Playa Los Arcos. We didn’t have to pay for a day pass due to a mix up. It used to be included that all sister properties could use the main hotels facilities. I’m not sure I would stay there again if I couldn’t get without paying extra.
Rooms are warn out, exhausted even! They need updating! Some of the street front rooms are musty smelling. Wouldn’t stay in one of those for even a day!

The balcony was nice. Fairly quiet location for that area, and easy to walk to the beach and restaurants.
No microwave, and the bathroom was tiny, a bit of mold around the shower.

Only thing I liked was that it’s very close to the beach
I didn’t like the attitude of the staff! Very rude girls that they have working at the front. Another issue I really disliked was the fact that we were unable to get WiFi in our room for about 3 days because the girl up front messed up and didn’t give us the right code and after speaking with the manager, the only thing he said he could do was give us the right password. But he didn’t make up for it. Every time I went to the front to try to speak to someone about the WiFi after checking in, there was nobody at the front to be found!! Very very bad service! I will not be returning to this hotel! Also, they have a closet downstairs at the first floor right across the nurse, that was full of towels, and sheets that was all the way to ceiling! I really hope that wasn’t the clean sheets and towels they used for the rooms, it was gross! 🤢

The bed. To hard

The location and the facilities are why we return. We can walk everywhere and enjoy the beach and infinity pool at the sister property. Also it is much quieter and more serene. I enjoy being able to prepare my own coffee in the morning in the kitchenette.
