Coastal Retreat on the Sunshine Coast BC
Bienvenido a nuestro refugio costero ubicado en la hermosa península de Sechelt. Estamos a 40 minutos en ferry desde Horseshoe Bay y a 20 minutos en coche una vez que haya aterrizado en Langdale.
Nuestra casa de huéspedes, construida en 2017, es una escapada perfecta para parejas. Se encuentra entre majestuosos cedros y abetos, con una vista panorámica del océano. Solo tiene que caminar por nuestro camino de entrada para estar en una de las zonas de playa natural más apartadas de la costa.
La casa de huéspedes, aunque solo 545 pies cuadrados tiene techos de 12 pies, con una pared de ventanas que la hacen muy luminosa y espaciosa. Todos los pisos tienen calefacción radiante con zonas separadas en cada habitación. La cocina está equipada con nuevos electrodomésticos Bosch, que incluyen lavaplatos y estufa de gas natural, microondas y refrigerador. También hay una lavadora y secadora para su conveniencia. We really enjoyed the place. A sweet little gem in the woods from which to explore the coast. Very nice and private. And the beach was wonderful and secluded. Fred was very nice and approachable.

This comfortable and very well-appointed cottage is a gem. The setting is lush and tranquil. With only the sounds of nature we had the best sleeps in the very comfortable bed. Heated floors throughout added to the coziness. There is nothing not to love about this place!

This was a wonderful place to stay, in a great location! The cabin was clean and beautiful, a perfect place for a couple! Well stocked too. The host was great. Friendly and easy to contact! Thanks for a lovely vacation!

This little house is perfect for 2 people. The weather didn’t allow us to utilize the deck and fire pit, or wander around on the beach.
Perfect location for our visit with family in Sechalt. Super easy to find, get in, clean up, and leave.
Love the heated floors, shower and lovely kitchen.
Too many things to mention.
Would come here again.

A very cozy little place to rest your head while exploring Sechelt, Gibsons or wherever you decide to go on the Sunshine Coast! I personally used it as a home base, and during the day rode Coast Gravity Park as it was 15 mins away. The girlfriend enjoyed the stay in her own way, as it was a very relaxing and calm enviroment for her to read her book and decompress. Overall, the place was great! I look forward to booking again in the future! A big thank you to the owners.

There is nothing not to love about this little cabin. It’s situated in a little stand of trees with views of the ocean, and boasts all the comforts of home and more. Impeccably clean, comfortable bed, extra blankets, comfy couch, and a beautiful and well stocked kitchen. Did I mention the heated floors in the bedroom and bathroom? We didn’t want to leave and will look to stay here the next time our travels take us to Sechelt.

Surprised the husband with this trip for his birthday. The house was very beautiful and appliances were up to date. Loved having heated floors and high ceilings so lots of natural light could come in. The place is nestled perfectly between Gibsons and sechelt with short drives to each. Check in steps were easy to follow except we drove past the cabin/house as we didn’t realize it was the building at the top of the drive way. Check out was also very easy and was easy breezy beautiful. There was also a lot of activities that they provided in a binder. If we had a longer stay we would have loved to use the bbq and outdoor fire pit on the deck and do some acitivities in the binder. Would definitely come again!

A very clean, modern, simple home in the woods. Nestled amongst the majestic trees of the Sunshine Coast. We were visiting family in the area and this was our quiet evening retreat.
Very quiet and comfortable bed for restful sleep. You will not be disappointed if this fits your plans.

Coastal Retreat was spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet….and the kitchen was the best equipped of any place that we ever stayed at - we enjoyed the quick walk down to the private beach to enjoy sunrises and sunsets. And, a special treat was the heated floors - 100% enjoyable stay!

We really enjoyed our four days at Coastal Retreat. The photos represent the space well - cozy and perfect for two people, but feels much more expansive on account of the gorgeous view of the trees and ever changing light on the glimpses of ocean through the 15ft wall of windows. The kitchen was well set-up and the bed very comfortable. Despite being a short distance from the highway (and only a few minutes to IGA- definite plus), the environment was very quiet and private. Our only suggestion would be a blind for the front door window which needs to be passed to access the bathroom. The road is 30ft away and the tree coverage doesn’t create privacy from those walking or driving by. We hung a covering over the edge of the door which was successful to create more privacy. Overall we’d recommend Coastal Retreat and would return.

This cabin in the woods was a perfect west coast get away. It was well designed, clean and comfortable with a modern kitchen and bathroom. We had wonderful sleeps due to the quietness and darkness during the night.
The location was outside of the town but only 2 km from a small mall with an IGA. It is a great base for hiking and visiting the rest of the Sunshine Coast.

Has all the amenities and comforts you could want if you’re looking to stay in a clean and fairly new “cabin”. I don’t like to “rough it” so the upgraded finishes and comforts such as dishwasher, laundry, and fully equipped kitchen were appreciated. Great location only a short drive either way up and down the coast. The only thing that took a little getting used to was no window coverings in the living room. But really it’s very private regardless. I’d stay here again.

This was my second time staying at this little cabin. It’s always very clean and is well stocked with everything you need. Great location, lots of good hikes not far away. Definitely recommend!

Fred and Heidi are kind and friendly hosts. The property is conveniently located and provides a restful space. It was very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. I loved sitting on the rocks watching the eagles and watching for whales (I just missed the whales).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful spot! The view was just stunning with all the trees and ocean just down the driveway. It was quiet and peaceful, just what we needed! The cabin is very clean and modern, with very nice finishes and high ceilings and windows to give you the best view. The IGA is just a 2 minute drive, which was very convenient. Gas BBQ and outdoor fireplace are super handy!

This coastal cabin was a nice getaway for my partner and I for a weekend on the Sunshine Coast. It is really conveniently located, as it is not far from both Gibsons and Sechelt. However, it still felt nicely secluded and “tucked away”—with beautiful windows overlooking the forest and partial ocean view. While the beach is not very accessible, it was nice to be slow to the water. The property was really clean and had all the amenities we needed!

We had a great time at this property. It's right on the water so beach combing or just enjoying the view is a short walk. The cabin was clean, well stocked and modern. It had everything we needed. The location is quiet, yet close enough to everything we set out to accomplish. We will definitely rent again on our next trip.

I would have stayed longer but sick kids turned me back home. The kitchen was very well organized and stocked, bed was soft and comfortable. Pretty deck with sunlight streaming through trees and lighting up indoor space through multiple windows.

This cabin in the Woods is everything as advertised. We stayed for a week and enjoyed the extremely well stocked kitchen and new, classy inside. Our favourite thing was the wall of windows looking out onto a forest where are you feel like you are alone with nature, but can walk to the ocean in about 100 steps. The bed is just right, The TV provides everything you would need, kitchen is lovely, and it is a close drive to Seschelt, Roberts bay, golf, groceries, and Gibson’s. The road behind the cabin is not an issue because it is just a neighbourhood road with residence only and very few vehicles.Thank you Heidi and Fred, it was exactly what we needed.

Great place to spend a relaxing vacation. Nice access to the beach and the many good restaurants and trails in the area. This beautiful little house is centrally located and very well maintained. It was a good choice for us.

Our stay of 18 nights was amazing! Although this rental is not large, the wall of windows, high ceilings and openness made for a very comfortable stay. Appliances and finishes are high end and well thought out, which we very much appreciated. We found this rental to be a central location for day trips to Gibsons, Roberts Creek and Sechelt - lots of places to explore!

This cabin was so lovely. The location is perfect. Quiet neighbourhood, beautiful surroundings! Being so close to the water was incredible. Very clean property, it has pretty much everything you need in terms of cooking, as well as towels and such for the bathroom.
The owner was prompt to giving the access information, I didn’t have any issues at all.
Good space for two people :) I would definitely go back! I think my only suggestion would be blinds of some sort in the living room for evenings, but aside from that LOVE LOVE LOVE.
