Nice hotel. Construction was an issue with finding the hotel. The river view out the window was blocked with construction.

The worst thing I can’t stand is the basic safety as the door lock of our room was not working. It supposed to be automatically locked like all other hotel rooms, but it does not work.
The a/c is too loud. Too many mirrors in the room. Breakfast not good. People can find better options with less price.

The room and property its self were very cleanly and taken care for. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.
I was shocked to see a fairly outdated looking bathroom (minus the actual room with bathtub located within it).
The Continental breakfast is fairly lack luster with only some toast/bagles, yogurt, pasteries, and oatmeal. No protein besides hard boiled eggs.
If you plan on going to the spa, this may be the place for you. But if you intend on spending a lot of time in Laval and Montréal you’re better off getting a closer hotel room.
Ubers/Taxis are beyond expensive in the city, since it takes a while to get anywhere driving (especially bad during rush hours and you can expect to be late to whatever you had planned) a 25 min ride can very quickly turn into 1.5 hrs I learnt the hard way.

The parking while hard to get there due to construction was good. There was no decaf coffee and I reported it to them as that is all I drink. They explained their delivery never came however they did get me some for my stay. The staff went above and beyond expectations to make my stay great.

The room was ok, clean and confortable. Fan of the AC unit was set to high and couldn't be change, very noisy. One of the bead frame was making a craking and squeaky sound. Their was a loud family reunion between midnight to 1 o'clock in the corridor near our room.
The hotel advertise that it's a non-smoking environment, not true, the swiming pool area and balcony's over the pool area, everybody was smoking.
For are first time it was not a greath experience, hopefully if there is a next time it will be different.

I enjoyed my stay . The room was clean , breakfast selection was okay , wasn’t too happy with the parking situation as there were limited spaces plus construction happening right in front of the hotel. The hotel is localized near many places for easier access to stores and restaurants.

Current construction makes this facility rather unpleasant. The tv did not work for our five-day stay and the air conditioning was extremely loud and annoying throughout the night. The ensuite pamphlet stated 4-hours at the spa was included with the stay but staff advised this was no longer the case and nothing they could do about the tv.

We stayed for 3 nights at Le Rivage. The room was clean well equipped, and quiet, except for the window air conditioning which was loud. Breakfast was fine though nothing to rave about. The fairly dark/blue lighting in the hotel is unusual. The pool is nice. Parking is limited. There is a construction site next to the hotel which I was not aware of when I booked the room. That made walking to nearby restaurants tricky.

We stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon and informed them of this when booking. We also had 10 of our wedding guests at the hotel, most of them staying for one week. Unfortunately, we got a small corner room on the first floor, not clean (insects in shower), blinds that let in too much sunlight, bed was honestly not comfortable, and minimal effort was made to recognize our honeymoon (just swan towels on the bed). The staff was inflexible about accommodating a late checkout—an extra 20 minutes would have cost us $20. Breakfast also fell short of our expectations. Knowing what we know now, we would have chosen a different hotel for ourselves and our guests.

This hotel is trying to pretend it is of the same rating and caliber as the Spa Finlandais. Do not be fooled by the ratings. This place is a dump. Our door handle was broken, the floor sticky, the room tiny, very poor lighting especially in the hallways (what are they trying to hide?), disgusting smell in the hallways. There was major construction directly in front of the hotel.

Lots of attention to details like window and balcony cleaning. Breakfast Dining is excellent. Would have liked our room made up everyday and ready earlier.

we arrived on the day of the Montreal flood. Road construction in the front. Very difficult road access. Our premium room in the lower level had begun to flood because of the heavy rain.
Now the good. The staff was very accommodating. Gave us a standard room the had available thank God. Room was clean, breakfast was great, staff were professional. They adjusted the room rate accordingly. No complaints here.

Convenient location, friendly staff and good price however a lot of construction in the area. Parking spaces are very limited leading to parking well away from the building. Also be sure to bring your own toilet paper; never single ply so thin
