Great Trip, Wonderful Views from the house, plenty of room and the property management was amazing. They reached out multiple times to make sure we didn't need anything and when a hurricane was getting close they did a great job of comminating what was going on and what expect which AMAZING couldn't have asked for more in the situation (luckily it missed the island). It is a 2 bedroom with a loft, not a true 3 bedroom but that did not affect us at all as there was only 4 of us. views from the rooms, the kitchen, the deck, the pool, were great.

We had an excellent stay with zero issues. Check in was smooth and they provided lots of great tips for our trip. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. The screened in patio area and pool deck had tons of seating and amazing views. Great location just 8 minutes from Cruz bay but up on the hill for a more peaceful setting. We will most definitely be back

This house was perfect for two couples on a family trip. It was minutes from cruz bay and right on a main road for easy access to many of the beaches and sights you’ll want to visit. The two main bedrooms were air conditions. The bathrooms were large and equipped with double vanities. The pool and deck area were to die for. The pool was perfect for relaxing and also a welcome oasis for when my nephews would visit after the beach. We grilled out there twice catching an AMAZING VIEW of the island sunset. We would gladly return to this paradise again if lucky enough!

A beautiful home located in paradise. Extremely helpful management. They met us at the ferry and even took our luggage back to the house so we would have time to have dinner and grocery shop before settling in. Could not have been more perfect.

Beautiful view, pool and decks. No AC in main living / kitchen area which can make it very hot in July. Who wants to be bathed in sweat while cooking in a vacation home at this price point? Advertised to sleep 6-8 but only priced for 2 guests. VRBO should ban this deceptive practice that added on high “Additional Guest Fees” for a family of 4. Three additional cars in driveway made it difficult for us to park.

Pool was perfect size and the views were perfect.

Perfect accommodations for our family of 5. Plenty of space. Clean. Amazing views. We spent most of our time on the screened in patio and in the pool. Dabney was our point of contact and she was SO friendly and helpful. Our trip wouldn’t have been the same without her. Best vacation ever

The managers Brandan and Daphne were super attentive and helpful before we arrived and all throughout our week stay. The house was perfect for our group and the view was spectacular!! Our trip to St. John's was Perfect in every way!

The house has a great set up we had very private rooms yet all together! Kids loved the loft area; pool was great and kitchen very well stocked with anything you need for cooking! We felt very safe and comfortable- sunsets every night & rainbows in the morning just spectacular view!! Perfect location between Cruz bay and coral bay! We loved it!! My daughters 40th was perfect! Deb was wonderful picking us up and showing us the house at check in!

This is an excellent house with a set up especially nice for two couples. The house is solid, well decorated and very accommodating. The pool very nice and clean with a great view, especially at sunset. The property manager was excellent.

This was our second time to stay at Cielo Vista, which in itself should tell you something! Our first trip was two years ago with our oldest daughter and son-in-law. We enjoyed everything that St. John had to offer - the beautiful beaches, the fantastic food, the wonderful people and the views, and especially the views from Cielo Vista. Our youngest daughter wasn't able to make the first trip, so she was instrumental in us planning our return visit to the island (almost a year ago!), and to Cielo Vista. We didn't look at any other properties. Chris and Harriet Bast have a beautiful island home and we can't thank them enough for sharing it with us. The photographs accurately represent the property. The split floor plan is great for families, and the inclusion of the studio flat allowed plenty of space for all six adults. Denise, the house manager, provided information for taxi service at the airport met our ferry - everything perfectly orchestrated. Denise drove the girls and luggage to the house while the guys handled the jeep rentals - and the girls were in the pool relaxing when we arrived. Cielo Vista is the perfect HOME AWAY from home. Our seven day stay was just the vacation we were looking for. Because we didn't want to be in Cruz Bay proper, desired a view, a pool, and two private bedrooms, this property was perfect. We rented a a Jeep and were easily able to access all parts of St. John we wanted to see. The property manager met us at the ferry and was in constant contact as our flights in were delayed. Into St. Thomas. Denise showed us the villa after picking up the Jeep and was accessible if we every had questions during our stay. All in all, it was perfect and we had a blast.

We were so happy during our visit. In fact, my mind goes numb thinking about the awesomeness of the place and the island. There was so much room to spread out we got a little lost from each other occasionally. I really don't have any cons to relay about this property. Two days before we left, the whole island lost power and it was on and off for about 24 hours. Only at Cielo Vista, that meant the generator was on and off. We felt a little guilty having all the amenities on a night when the rest of the island was dark. Thanks for building this house and sharing it with us!

Cielo Vista is everything you read in reviews and see in photos, and more. We stayed a little over a week and enjoyed every minute. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in this property. The property is very well maintained and the home is fully furnished and supplied - linens, towels, dishes kitchen equipment, etc. etc. Everything you need is at your fingertips. We traveled with a large group of friends and family and had the opportunity to see two other villa's on Gift Hill. Cielo Vista was our favorite, it's charm and view are unmatched! I highly recommend this property!

Wonderful property in ship-shape condition. House is has beautiful construction detail. It is comfortable and very well decorated. The view of Cruz Bay is breath taking. The kitchen is well furnished and appliances were all in good condition.

We have rented many times on St. John and this was THE BEST, a perfect home unless you are in the $8,000+ a week budget crowd. You can trust the photos of Cielo Vista, if I had any criticism; the photos don’t do the home justice as it is even nicer. The location on Gift Hill is perfect, out of town but close enough to scoot to Cruz Bay for dinner or supplies. The Star Fish Market and St. John Market are as close as a short hop to the store back home Lots of outdoor living space, who wants to be indoors in the Caribbean? We ate and lounged on the enclosed terrace. It is all screened for mosquito control but the screens are a roll down or roll sideways type that keep an outdoor feeling, no bars blocking you view. . The breezes flow through the home; we used ceiling fans and never considered AC. The pool is generous for 8 people including 3 children, it never seemed small. There are surrounding side decks and outdoor furniture. The view is nothing short of spectacular at sunset. We sipped gin & tonics each evening while watching the lights of St. Thomas. One evening we all saw the elusive “Green Flash” as the sun settled into the western sea. The house is well furnished including the kitchen. Our experienced has been house cleaning folks will pick up the products vacationers cannot take with them. With Cielo Vista we discovered many things were left for our use such as spices, olive oil, a variety of bottles of alcohol etc. No opened food packages but many things we could use and forgot to bring. It really helped make Cielo Vista feel like home rather than an extended hotel suite. We tried to follow suit when leaving. The home has 2 full, equal masters. A loft above the main living area but it is more than just a “loft” as there is a lot of living space plus a runway to a large private deck. This could work out for sharing couples who want some privacy from time to time. Below is an efficiency apt. that is nicely done with a comfortable bed, fans and AC, TV, WiFi and a screened sitting area plus a generous sized bath. We, the parents, decided to go to the apartment and we just loved the space and the privacy we needed from time to time. I found the various web sites overwhelming but the homework paid off as we all loved Cielo Vista. If this home fits your need and budget forget all the others, just book it, you will not be sorry, this may be as close to heaven as we’ll ever get on earth.

We loved Cielo Vista! First time on the island and we could not have been treated better. Denise met us at the ferry and escorted us to the car rental and then took us to the fabulous retreat on Gift Hill. The house was incredible, lovely views and everything you could need to have a great vacation. Cielo Vista is located perfectly - a short ride from town yet convenient to all the amazing beaches. Kids loved the pool and the upper deck with the views. We will come again and definitely stay Cielo Vista. Thank you Harriet and Chris - and thank you Denise!

This was our first visit to St. John and Cielo Vista. We found Cielo Vista to be absolutely perfect. The location is ideal, perched on the hillside overlooking the town of Cruz Bay, with panoramic views of the harbor and St Thomas in the distance. The villa is just a few minutes from Cruz Bay and is in an ideal location from which to explore St. John. The villa is beautifully decorated and we found it to be very well equipped throughout. The design is spectacular with views from literally everywhere in the house. We really enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the outdoor dining area overlooking the pool and deck. We loved returning to the villa after a day of snorkeling or touring the island, relaxing on the deck and enjoying the pool. The grand finale everyday was watching the fabulous sunsets from the deck, and then seeing the lights come on after dusk across the bay on St Thomas. Cielo vista exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return. Chris and Harriet - thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!
