We wanted a nice place to stay while visiting family on the island. It is cozy, beautiful, and we really enjoyed the location. The hosts are great and they checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Highly recommend and we look forward to staying again!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Willowberry House. It was a wonderful home base location for our many excursions to Atlantic Beach, Beaufort, and the “end of the road” on Harker’s Island to see the sunrise. The house was impeccable in every way — clean, cozy, well-stocked, and beautifully adorned. Simply spending time at the property was a highlight of our trip. Furthermore, hosts Brenda and Damon were clear and responsive, as well as so kind and helpful in their communications with us. We highly recommend the Willowberrry House!

My family stayed for 3-4 days at Harker's Island. The house is great, super clean, & just what we needed after a long road trip. The beds were all super comfy. The neighborhood was quiet & the drive to the island is lovely. Would definitely recommend the house to friends or family!

Great location in central Harkers Island so we could get to everything easily. Loved the decor of the entire house, very modern and clean style. Had all amenities we needed, coffee maker and cups, detergent to wash clothes, and all bed sheets and bath towels. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Harkers Island.

This property made for the best family vacation we’ve had to date. It was close to everything, spotless, and had everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed eating out and cooking in. This is a truly a slice of heaven on earth! We can’t wait to stay again soon ❤️

We’ve stayed in many places in North Carolina from Atlantic to Morehead. We found this home and Harkers Island to be our favorite so far. Normally there’s one or two things that you find when staying at places that are nice but could be just a little better. Everything in this home was so comfortable the beds, the shower the climate system, we found it very nice roomy and an excellent place to stay. There was also lots to see and do close by. A small beach for the little ones. I fishing pier for the older. A nice museum was right down the street with the ferry service to the outer banks. We found a food truck, and a few other good places to eat as well. It was close to other larger areas to visit while we were staying there as well. The down east part of North Carolina is beautiful. We will be back again ASAP!

We’ve stayed at properties from Morehead to Atlantic. This was the first time we’ve stayed in Harkers island. Have to say this was by far the best yet. From the house, and location, every part of our stay was wonderful. We’ve found at most places there is one thing or another that could be better, but this place got it right! From the comfy beds, the nice shower heads, the roomy decks, right down to the nice coffee bar set up. The host covered all the details. Even had a nice book to explain and answer questions. We found plenty to see and do in the area. Great places to eat, and stores for this and that. Not far from Beaufort or Morehead either. We hope to go back again soon.

Everything about this place was super easy, I have never stayed in a place that everything was laid out for you from a welcome package to the fish cleaning table , nice long driveway to back your boat in . I will definitely be back.

This house was perfect for our family of five. Everybody had their own space, the kitchen was well-stocked and it was in a quiet little neighborhood. Super clean as well!

This house has a very nice private deck to enjoy morning coffee and evening dinners. Close to lots of fishing. Kitchen is very well stocked.

The home is lovely. The owner provides little niceties like hotel style shampoo, coffees and creamer etc. All was very thoughtfully done. Contact with the owner was pleasant and helpful, very nice people.

We have just returned from a great few days on Harkers Island. The house is lovely, with 4 adults and 3 children we had plenty of room and enjoyed the outside deck each night. Their is plenty to see and do, our favorite trip being the Ferry across to Cape Point Look Out, just fabulous. On the ride over the kids saw a dolphin in the bay and we enjoyed seeing the pelicans and wild ponies. The beaches on the barrier island were beautiful, well worth walking the100yrds beyond the small shop to the Atlantic side and enjoying miles of unspoilt beaches and crashing waves. Beaufort has lovely restaurants and cute shops, great atmosphere in the evenings and good fun l walking through the Marina. Tim and his wife are great hosts and very helpful!

Outstanding!

A group of four of us stayed for a week long fishing trip. The area is very quite. Great deck for relaxing outside. Very close to the marina where we keep our boat.

What a great place to stay! We had a wonderful time enjoying the area and loved staying at the Jolly Roger. The location is just a few minutes from the ferry to Cape Lookout, but we were pleasantly surprised to realize there was also public beach access just down the road as well. We were already fantasizing about coming back when our kids are older and can ride bikes there. A couple other things stood out about this location. First, the communication was excellent before, during, and after our visit. Tim and Angie went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared and had everything we need. There were so many little touches during our visit that continued to make us feel welcome. The kitchen was also one of the best stocked kitchens we’ve found in a vacation rental - we found all the spices, oil, and cooking implements that we needed. At the end of our week, all four of us couldn’t stop talking about how much we wished we could stay longer. If you’re thinking about a visit to the Jolly Roger - do it! You won’t be sorry!

We had a great week at the Jolly Roger! Very nice house and property. New deck around the back, and everything is very clean and very well kept. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us to spread out and enjoy ourselves while at the house and perfect for our day trips. Short drives to Cape Lookout, Sand Dollar Island, and the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll make the Jolly Roger an excellent base camp for exploring the area. Tim & Angie were great hosts, kept in touch, and provided a personal touch for our grandson. Had a blast and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking. Thank you Tim & Angie for sharing your house with us!

The whole process was so easy. The owners were amazing through communication about the property and suggestions of what to see, even where to buy a good steak to grill. The house had everything we needed to make home cooked meals while visiting our son whose a Marine. The gift basket upon arrival was such a delightful and thoughtful gesture after driving 1300+ miles to get there. We enjoyed our adventures exploring the Outer Coast and were thankful to come "home" each night and hangout, watch a movie, listen to music, read book, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to go back and stay again!! Thank you!!

We had a wonderful vacation here! The rooms are all perfect and the kitchen is very well stocked if you like to cook like us. There is a small public beach near the house that we went to. We saw dolphins and sting rays while there. The ferry to Cape Lookout is a must and be sure to rent an ATV and explore. A lot of the beach was closed due to turtle hatchings but still a great time! Only downside was a lot of businesses were closed or had hours that did not match their websites so be sure to call before heading out to a restaurant anywhere.

Tim and Angie are so kind and so quick to respond. Their home is spotlessly clean and has so many fun decorations to look at. They went above and beyond to offer suggestions of things to do in the area and the best times to view the sunset and sunrise. There was plenty of room for everyone. We would definitely stay again!

The house looked exactly like the photos they posted. The property owners were very helpful and informative throughout our stay. Everything was just a short drive away. I would definitely give our trip 5 stars!

Great home, had EVERYTHING we needed or even wanted.. we have been coming to this area for nearly a decade now and this has been our favorite rental. Kitchen stocked with everything .. major plus for us. Tim and Angie was wonderful. Couldn't ask for a better place or owners.

Our stay at jolly Roger was amazing highly recommended Tim was fast to respond about anything we had any questions about rather it be about jolly Roger or anything about the island everything about our stay here was amazing great house, naborhood and people..

This house was perfect for our family. The coffee area was a hit! The neighborhood was quite and peaceful. We were able to find everything we needed close by. The small beach and calm water was also perfect for the family. Even the boat ramp was very convenient to take the boat out fishing or just for a ride! We are very likely to rent this house again in the future!

Loved our time at Jolly Roger

The house was very clean and spacious. The owners were absolutely amazing and had almost everything we could think of. The owners checked in with us multiple times to make sure everything was to our liking. Will definitely keep this house saved for the future!

Just finished up a month on Harkers Island staying at the Jolly Roger. First, Tim and Angie are fantastic hosts. They are very responsive to any questions etc and they did a really nice job of making me feel at home and comfortable during my stay. Angie even left a little package and note to make me feel welcome. Additionally they had a housekeeper come half way through to clean up, change sheets and wash towels. There is regular trash service where you didn't even need to take the can to the street. Yardwork was done regularly so the place stayed looking good. Inside, the kitchen was impeccably stocked with everything I needed, and I like to cook ;). The owners had just purchased a new grill for the deck as well. There are 4 very comfortable and well appointed bedrooms and at least two of the mattresses are brand new and quite comfortable. I also had lots of room in the Living room to set up a workstation so I could work remotely while I was here. The wifi is plenty strong to support all those zoom calls. If you have lots of others staying with you, you could easily have one or more workstations upstairs so others could use the LR and you would have a quite place to work. While the Jolly Roger doesn't have a water view, it is in the canal section of the island, so with a short bike ride or walk you could go watch the sunrise or sunset over the water. Also fun to just see all the teeming life in those canals. There is plenty of room to bring a boat if you have one with access to a hose for cleaning up and plug to recharge the trolling motor. Overall I would highly recommend the Jolly Roger to others visiting Harkers Island. It is clean and comfortable and Tim and Angie are great hosts.
