But head outside, and you’ll find more than enough room to come together and enjoy what this beautiful home has to offer. Rethymno, with its old architecture, can be found a short drive away. Walk the streets, stopping off at the old Venetian harbour to take a look at the fishing boats, head to the lighthouse – built in the 1830’s – and find lunch at a taverna. Of course you can also make an entire day of basking at the sun on any one of the beaches available to you – Rethymnon beach is only minutes away by car. Back home, amid the modern interior, you’re encouraged to take it easy. Put your feet up and relax with a cup of coffee. Sit out on the balcony, if you’ve taken a room on the upper levels, with a glass of wine and enjoy the fresh air. Come together by the pool – either in the cool waters or the sunloungers just off to the side – and celebrate where you are with wine and joyous conversation.
