I loved the fact that this place was totally off-grid. Powered by solar panels only and with water from a spring, it really felt like we were getting away from it all - which is exactly what we wanted. The views over the Garrotxa countryside are spectacular. There are amazing walks from the front door. The hosts are charming - I highly recommend it and wished we'd stayed longer. I will definitely be going back.

The place is very remote and very nice and calm, ideal for a switch-off retreat. Jose is caring host. The diner is served in very romantic setup and the night sky is breathtaking at Can Jou. Room was clean and comfortable.

One of the main reasons why I booked this place was the availability of pool (stated concretely that it's functioning till 15/9), however after arrival we found out the pool is not available any more (despite still a very hot weather), which was quite upsetting - considering the circumstances. Also there are 2 german shepherd dogs which are moving freely around the property - they are super friendly but for someone who is not very keen on dogs it can be problematic as the dogs are closely with you wherever you move outside (it was not a problem for me, but there were guests having problem to even leave the room and go for breakfast because of that).
