Nothing. The worst property we have ever stayed in.

Everything. The house is not ‘stunning’ in any way. It is completely misadvertised, with photos of other properties on the listing. The entire property is in a terrible state of disrepair, both inside and out. The beds are uncomfortable, the bathroom ceiling leaked, the shower didn’t drain properly, none of the flooring is fitted properly, there is a large amount of damp and mould in the entrance hall…the list goes on and on.

The contact seemed nice and was kind enough to call ahead to check when we were coming on the day. He was helpful. There were towels and soaps etc and we did like the lamps in the room.

Whilst clean, the property is in need of updating in a few areas. The stair case needs a hand rail as the stairs are hard to navigate due to size and there is nothing to hold onto. The window handles don’t really work which limits security of closing them. The toilet handle needs fixing. The main thing which needs improving are the beds. One double bed is as missing 4 slats and so created a hole you sink into. The other bed was wiry and uncomfortable. These are basic requirements for a stay, a bed you can sleep in. So this would be the first thing to update, new comfortable beds. Also the back garden is in need of clearing, rubbish bags and fence panels missing, again security issues and just not clean. Improving all these factors would reflect the price. You just don’t except this in a property you are paying a considerable sum for. Also the photo in the picture used is not from any of the rooms in the house. The window in the photo is a lovely open bay window but in the property they are totally different windows with broken handles. I’m not sure the photo relates to the house.

Clear instructions and clean and warm. Ideal for people who will be driving.
