We were excited to give our son a beach weekend before school starts but unfortunately had to depart 30 seconds after arriving. After walking by two spiderwebs hosting two friendly black spiders we were hit with a musty smell as soon as we opened the front door. The windows and doors were dated and did not provide a sense of security. Furnishings sub par. Hosts definitely have great photos on the listing because the home feels a bit like a beach fraternity house. As I have asthma and musty smells and asthma don’t mix, we requested a refund which was denied due to a strict cancellation policy. Our overall impression is that the hosts are interested in the quick cash to be raised by running a Vrbo, but not interested in providing a bed-and-breakfast/hotel type experience. Possibly a more 20-something crowd, not yet interested in design, decor or the comforts you grow accustomed to as you age, would be the right audience for this rental.

Cute, clean little beach cabin with beautiful backyard perfect for family gatherings. Fun to watch boat traffic, s’mores on the fire pit & sup boarding.
