I and 3 others used this condo as a base for 3 nights while we cycled the island and Vancouver Island. The condo was very clean and spacious - lots of room for the 4 of us. The covered deck outside allowed us to leave our bikes outside. Communication with the host was easy and timely. Would stay again!

Our 2 night stay on Salt Spring Island was clean, comfortable and spacious. We travelled with another couple and found the condo very comfortable for 4 adults. The only notable thing that was unexpected was the patio being on the front of the unit over the parking lot. However, this wasn’t a problem as it was spacious and private. We would stay here again.

We were a couple traveling with one friend & found the condo very comfortable for our stay. Communication with Elaine is excellent. The location is very close to the Vesuvius ferry & Seaside Restaurant (we enjoyed a beautiful sunset & delicious halibut from their deck). There is a small and very popular beach about a 5 min walk through the neighborhood, very popular with locals and lovely views to the ferry & north.

Close to Vesuvius terminal
Drive to Ganges-15 - 20 minutes
Drive to Long Harbour- 20+ minutes
Washer & dryer, detergent pods provided
Private patio, peek-a-boo view of water & Vancouver Island mountains if you are standing but lovely spot for quiet reading or cup of tea. Dining table, chairs & BBQ provided.
Master is en-suite, nice for privacy.
Kitchen has basics; plates, glassware, cutlery, coffee maker, tea pot, pots, etc but no cooking supplies including paper towels, coffee, tea, etc
Small local beach mentioned above (beach towels provided). Very popular, scenic and protected.
A guide to using the tv remotes was provided. Much appreciated by us less than tech savvy guests.
Cons:
Mainly lack of cooking amenities in the kitchen. Not a problem if you don't plan on cooking.
As mentioned by other guests, TV placement makes it awkward to watch.
We give the property 4 stars as we found it more comfortable than luxurious. We give Elaine 5+ stars for her responsiveness, the location 5 stars. We do recommend this property.

Clean & Spacious Condo, excellent location close to Vesuvius Ferry Terminal and only an 8 min drive to Ganges. There is only 1 parking space for the unit but we managed to park both our vehicles in 1 space. Would definately stay there again

Quiet, parking was easy, easy access to beach, peakaboo view of ocean from patio.
Bed was not comfortable and squeeky, couch was small and uncomfortable, tv remote didn’t work properly, fireplace was just a decorative one, no staples like coffee, sugar, …tv was placed so high up I actually got neck pain from looking up for too long, water tasted disgusting.

Great location not far of a drive from the main dining/shopping area but tucked away where it's quiet. Loved that we could walk to the nearby beach. The place is very spacious and well kept. Towels, soap, shampoo are provided. We used the bbq for dinners and saved lots of money eating outside enjoying the good weather. Would recommend for families and hope to be back in the future.

The unit is located on the first floor corner unit of a 3 or 4 story condo project. Parking is right out front. Private covered deck c/w gas BBQ. Didn't have a chance to use either as weather was not great. Full kitchen. There is a good walk in shower and tub. 2 full baths. Unit was clean and access was via lockbox. Unit is about 15 minutes from the middle of town, Turn left go 5 minutes make a right and 7 or 8 minutes down the road is the centre of town. Quiet location. Lovely wooded setting. All in all a good experience.
As an FYI. There is a flat bottom coffee maker so if you are making yourselves coffee take flat paper coffee filters as the filter that is there is the mesh kind and the water runs through creating a not so good cup of coffee. Also unit had no paper towels or Kleenex.

Vesuvius is a pretty spot with some charming older cottages. On our neighbourhood walk we found a lovely trail to the beach, some sheep, stands of granola, flowers and friendly locals. It's not far to other amenities - we hiked Mt Erskine and loved the bakery 'Francis Bread'. We loved eating our meals on the patio at the condo. Thanks!

This space had good separation of space, making it possible for people to step out for a nap. We had an unusually rainy day, and thus greatly appreciated the comfortable common space to read or play scrabble. The bbq is located in a covered deck, so we could still cook in the rain.
The location near the end of the road and ferry terminal means that other than bursts of traffic for ferry’s the road is quiet. I found beach access an easily walkable couple of blocks away.
It is nicely equipped, solidly built. I’d stay here again.

When we first arrived it took quite a while to warm up the place but it was then very comfortable thereafter. We loved your extra touches. Soap etc. there was no salt or paper towels but every cooking item you’d ever need. So glad for 2 bathrooms and plenty of hot water. I lived here on SS for many years and had never been back before and was very happy with our accommodations. I had a time with communication. To cancel one day but we finally did it and refund was fast, thank you

I grew up on Saltspring. My best friend, who had recently been widowed, expressed an interest in seeing the island so I arranged a visit. I had stayed at the Vesuvius Villas before and I knew we could each enjoy our own bedrooms and bathrooms for a reasonable price. This unit lived up to all my previous visits without exception. It was clean, well equipped and located in a lovely,quiet area. That aside, if visiting again, I would probably ensure that I had a unit on a higher floor. This unit is located on the first floor so the view and the security were not as good as the units above. I wanted a better view for my friend's first visit to the island and, as we were two women alone, we had some security concerns. Other than those personally requirements I would highly recommend this unit, we had a wonderful time.

Issue was with lack of familiarity with lock box. Could not open box to retrieve key as there were no instructions. Eventually got a passer-by to help. On leaving and after depositing key i n box, were not able to close box cover, needed to leave it only half closed. Hopefully cleaners will attend soon. Best regards, Heifi

Thank you for your hospitality. We had a fantastic time visiting the island and biking...trails in the north end were phenomenal! One suggestion would be to have available some kleenex tissues for your gusts. Otherwise the unit was so beautiful!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! A nice quiet corner of Salt Spring only 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle. A centrally located spot to tour the island from. We had a couple of days of marginal weather and were still able to enjoy the covered part of the patio. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back.

The condo itself was very clean and thoughtfully designed. We appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, which made preparing our meals a breeze. The open-concept layout allowed for easy interaction between the kitchen, dining, and living areas, creating a sense of togetherness even when we were all doing our own things.
The highlight of the condo was undoubtedly the patio. The patio was private with a glimpse of the sparkling ocean, it quickly became our favorite spot to start the day with a cup of coffee or unwind in the evening with a glass of wine. The calming sound of birdsong and the gentle rustling of leaves added to the tranquility of the experience.
The bedrooms were comfortable and provided a good night's sleep after a day of exploring the island. We appreciated the attention to detail in the linens and the overall cleanliness of the space. The bathrooms were modern and stocked with plush towels and essential toiletries.
The host was exceptional in their communication and hospitality. They helped return some left items which was greatly appreciated.
