The room was absolutely tiny. “Family room” but no wardrobe space - just a rail. Not enough space whatsoever for a family of five’s ski gear. We have stayed in small rooms on a budget before so we did get over the initial shock of all the beds being exceedingly close together with zero floor space! However, the main issue was no hot water. After traveling for sixteen hours it’s generally nice to have a warm shower but unfortunately we couldn’t just to the above issue. We decided to try in the morning as we errr exhausted. Same issue the next day. I reported the issue and was nonchalantly told it was a tech issue and to “leave the water running for twenty mins” not very ecological. We did try this but it was still freezing. We were then told to try when other guests were less likely to have a shower. I.e. not in the morning or evening! Hardly ideal when we are a family of five who are out all day having a very active time in the snow. Anyway we specifically made it back for about midday and guess what? Still no hot water. Reported again and was told technician was in today so hopefully sorted by the end of the day. As you can probably guess, this wasn’t the case. We called Hotels.com in the end who were amazing and changed us hotels. Absolutely no care in the world from Ibis whatsoever. Breakfast was mediocre but again this was meant to be a budget trip before Christmas so it was fine for what it paid. Clearers were brilliant!

The hotel is quirky and somewhat delightful, clean and spacious with a good breakfast thrown in. No complaints and I would stay there again.

We had a family room for two adults and three children 13,9,7. The room was clean and enough space for us. It was a little warm and there was no air on. It was good to have the restaurant, and bar. The Italian barman was very helpful and knowledgable on the wine choice. Breakfast was included and there was plenty with a good selection.

The staff was unfriendly and rude. We could not park in the parking lot due to ice on the driveway. No coffee was offered. When i asked for some wine glasses she told me that she doesnt have it. The restaurant was next to the check in and the glasses were visible.

We stayed in the hotel for our TMB hike; 2 days before start of hike and one night after the hike finish. PROS Near to the trail start. Cheap. We booked as we just have to sleep and start hike. Cons There was bad smell in the rooms and corridors The biggest disappointment however was the poor way in which owner handled the bag storage part. Let me start with the story We had one carry on bag which we could not carry for the hike. That was the sole reason we booked the same hotel before and after the hike. On arrival we asked the owner if we could keep the bag at the hotel during the hike (10 nights). Owner agreed to keep it. However on the day of the hike she demanded that we pay the storage cost for the bag ( 10Euros/day). We pointed out that she did not mentioned the cost when we arrived and its unfair as we have to start the hike and cant look for an alternative quickly. Owner did not buzz and insisted that we pay. We gave the credit card to charge for 10 nights. However there was another twist. She refused to take the credit card. Even though for breakfast we paid via Credit card. This was not good for us as we had taken out cash only to pay to the huts/dorms during the hike and was unsure how many places we would get the ATM to withdraw more. We tried to explain the situation to no avail. We ended up paying via cash. Bag storage cost should be declared upfront as was the breakfast cost. The whole episode just left a bad taste to the day1 of hike.

Clean room. Excellent shower. Good breakfast. Reasonable price for an overnight stay while doing the TMB.

Our room was nice, but there were zero decorations on the walls. The bed was comfortable. The view is excellent. No real complaints. This is a comfortable hotel but minimalism describes it. There are no amenities other than tv.

Empty when we were there so not sure how it would be when busier, but staff were attentive and room cleaned daily and for a budget option it was fine.

Basic and functional room good for a ski trip with friends.

Close to the lifts if you want somewhere warm and dry to sleep for a few days skiing for a men only ski trip(it would not be acceptable for my wife) or students on a budget.
