I can’t fault it

Had a wonderful first start to my trip in Sri Lanka. As a solo traveller who was hesitant about navigating the public buses, I am now confident in doing so. This all thanks to Mario’s introductory speech about everything about Sri Lanka, from its history, culture, and it’s transport of course. The food from the hostel was absolutely delicious as well. Safe to say I will be eating a lot more cheese kottu. The hostel isn’t too far from an atm and bus stops into town. He was also kind enough to give myself a SIM card, which I was able to put money on it later on with ease.

Affordable stop-over before going to/after coming from the airport, which is a 15 minute drive away. Our room was simple but super clean and well maintained, and the owners were very kind. Overall, excellent value for money.

El personal es muy amable. Nos explicaron muchas cosas de Sri Lanka y nos ayudaron en lo que les pedimos. Regalan una tarjeta SIM pero sin muchos datos, que está bien, pero que no supone ningún ahorro con respecto a comprarla en el aeropuerto. El desayuno es normal, pero no se puede pedir otra cosa por el precio

Mario kümmert sich sehr gut um seine Gäste. Ich würde jedem empfehlen erstmal dort anzukommen wenn man sich auf Sri Lanka begebt. Mario klärt einen über alles wichtige auf, gibt Reise Vorschläge und ist eine sehr angenehm Gesellschaft.

Nice accomodation near the airport. Great value for the money with food service for the room. Mario the host is a great person to give you all information about Sri Lanka and how to get around.

Sicuramente torneremo qui, l'host e la sua famiglia sono simpatici e hai accesso a tutte le informazioni necessarie per il viaggio in Sri Lanka. Abbastanza vicino all'aeroporto (c'è un servizio navetta) e con un bus si arriva in poco tempo alla strada principale di Negombo. La stanza che ci ha dato era perfetta, il posto è piuttosto nuovo e pensato bene.

Il wifi non prendeva sempre benissimo, soprattutto al piano di sopra. Ma non è un grosso problema, dopotutto è un transit hotel, di solito ci si passano pochi giorni.

Very nice stuff that is always willing to help. You even get food in the hostel.

A little bit outside but nice if you don’t like the city too much. You will need a tuck tuck or take the bus.

De eigenaar was ontzettend vriendelijk, en heeft ons erg geholpen. Bij aankomst zijn we vriendelijk verwelkomd. Ze hebben ons goed geholpen met tuktuks regelen en vertelde veel tips en leuke feitjes over Sri Lanka. Enorm vriendelijke man die het beste over heeft voor zijn gasten!

De kamer was relatief muf, weinig zuurstof. Het bed is redelijk oncomfortabel, en er is geen airco.

Great option for sleeping after your flight. The host was very kind and accommodating. A young guy who manages the place himself. Rooms were basic but good enough. Great value.

Had an excellent experience at this hostel! Mario, the owner, was incredibly kind and provided fantastic recommendations for exploring the country. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. The price is unbeatable, and the tasty local breakfast served in the room is a delightful touch. Additionally, having a kettle and space in the room to prepare our own snacks was a convenient perk. Overall, a great stay!

Mario era muy amable, nos indico donde podríamos comer... Y nos llevó al aeropuerto pagándole pero por las horas que eran nos vino genial

Las camas no son camas, son super incomodas,no tienen colchón, imposible dormir en ellas, las toallas eran super viejas y desgastadas el tamaño no era ni una toalla de mano, no habia agua caliente

Für eine Nacht zuwarten für den Abflug war es okay, länger würde ich mich nicht aufhalten. Der Verwalter hat ein Tuk Tuk zum Flughafen organisiert. Fußläufig ist ein Cargels und einige Restaurants zu erreichen. (30 min)

Es gab 1000te Flugameisen, aber leider kein Mückennetz um diese abzuhalten. Weit weg von Negombo City!

Lovely Family running the place. Unfortunately my last day in Sri Lanka, the owner had a lot of tipps for traveling around the country and what to see. Clean rooms and really good food. Nice place to stay with a 20min drive to the airport.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is easy to get to by a taxi or a tuk tuk from the airport. The host is very helpful and welcoming, every morning I woke up to different homemade breakfast and they were all so delicious! I ended up extending a few nights more to take a proper break from long travelling :)

Perfekter Start in den Sri Lanka Urlaub! Insbesondere der Host, Mario, macht diese Unterkunft zu etwas besonderem. Wir sind um 22 Uhr am Flughafen angekommen, und er hat schon auf uns gewartet. Er ist sehr umgänglich und spricht fließend englisch, man kann sich mich ihm wirklich über alle Themen unterhalten. So haben wir auch direkt beim Frühstück eine umfassende Einführung in die Kultur der Singhalesen bekommen, mit einer Auflistung aller Verhaltensregeln, Sicherheitsaspekten, Geheimtipps... Ein Traum! Die Unterkunft an sich hat ein gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Die Zimmer sind sauber, ein wenig feucht, aber nicht tragisch. Zum Frühstück gibt es traditionelle Kost. Vor der Haustür ist direkt eine Busstation, sodass man auch leicht in die Innenstadt von Negombo kommt oder weiter ins Landesinnere.

Unterkunft ist etwas außerhalb gelegen; aber Tuktuks sind günstig bzw. der öffentliche Bus auch gleich ums Eck

La recepción y las recomendaciones del chico de recepción desde el primer momento y su amabilidad. Estaba limpio y también cuidado de no tener muchos mosquitos. Cómodo y con desayuno en la habitación a la hora que lo pedimos.

An very friendly and helpful local. Perfect start for a round trip because it is close to the airport. The local gives super helpful tips and answers all questions that arise. Very good value for money. If we both had an account we would both write a great review.
