The home itself is very nice and accommodated our 7 adults and 7 children pretty well. We expected one more actual bedroom given the description. The top floor is like an open living space with a king bed, kitchenette, bathroom, and two other beds right there. There’s no really privacy if that space is shared. There were three other bedrooms in addition to that top floor space. We made it work. We arrived about 15 minutes early and weren’t able to get in until the exact check in time. That was fine since we could explore the area, just a heads up to not arrive early. We loved having access to the lake and a little beach area. It was a big hit with the kids. The living spaces and kitchen were nice. The main problem we had was a terrible smell. It hit the moment we stepped inside so we had the rest of our group stop for air fresheners before they arrived. It really didn’t help though. The bathroom off the kitchen had an unusual amount of flies so perhaps the source of the smell comes from there. We were out and about quite a bit and spent most of our time at the house out on the deck so lucky we managed okay. The property was conveniently located right next to Shady Gators. We enjoyed hearing the music and having a few of us stop in for lunch (not kid friendly). Overall, it was a nice place and we would stay here again if the smell was gone. Based on how many air fresheners were already there, I doubt this is a new problem.
