Amazing location, good service, good food

I was i the side building, small room, old shower and price a bit high for what it is. But as I rate all in all was nice

We enjoyd everything.

The location and the restaurant are great, and I wished we had more time to explore the park, enjoy the garden and views. All staff were friendly and helpful. There is plenty of free parking. We really enjoyed our stay.

Although nice, the room could benefit from newer or restored floors. We could not figure out how to switch off the underfloor heating of the bathroom, which is an issue with the current energy crisis. The TV didn't work properly and may need some attention.

Our room was old and poorly decorated. The bathroom was also disappointing, very small sink and no complimentary bath products (stuck on the wall). Paid extra for a junior suite to make it special and it was SO not worth it. I also asked nicely to make the room special as it was for an anniversary, and although they replied to my request, nothing was done. Very basic service. Not worth the price.

Nice and friendly staff, clean and nice, nice atmosphere and very close to Fredensborg center.

The room lacked airconditioning and was very warm. The selection at the breakfast was a bit weak. Would have liked more types of bread, more vegetables and maybe pancakes or toast for the kids. Would love to see a possibility to charge the electric car at the hotel.

The bed was too small for 2 people. 2 large duvets did not fit on the mini double bed!

Lovely hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms. Excellent restaurant. A perfect location for nature walks and sightseeing.

Not a big deal, but the wifi didn't work well. Too bad we couldn't order lighter meals or snacks from the bar/restaurant.

Our room was quite comfortable in every respect. It was quiet and clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom facilities were in good working order with no unpleasant surprises, and we felt quite safe and secure.

I was somewhat dismayed by the reception my wife and I received at the restaurant for the dinner we had booked for our first night. Following a long day of travel from Åarhus by train and bus, we were weary and hungry. We showed up 30 minutes early for our 20h00 reservation, and although there were available tables we were strongly told that it would be better to come back at 20h00. We were told that we could wait and that we would be called as soon as our table could be made ready...and then 20 minutes later we were led to an empty table that was just as empty at the time we had arrived. Bad form. On another note, we were quite disappointed by the breakfast at Fredensborg Store Kro. The selection of breakfast items was quite small compared to other hotels we stayed at in the days leading up to our arrival, and the quality of the food on offer was no better and in some cases was not as good. In particular, there were no non-dairy milk options available, and in our case this was something of a showstopper. The breakfast is included in the price of the room, but that does not mean it should be treated as an afterthought.
