Nice clean room with lovely toiletries. staff were all nice and helpful. lots of nice choices for breakfast. we booked and paid for dinner too and the food was 10/10

The bed in our room was far to low and really not very comfortable at all. Unfortunately we both had a very bad night sleep. Think we would have had to request another room if we had been staying more than one night. Good point the restaurant menu was really nice and the food good and again staff really freindly. And breakfast excellent.

Restaurant was closed on the days we stayed so no dinner or hot breakfast options, but the continental breakfast was delicious and plentiful!

Super cosy and welcoming pub. We stayed here for four days over Christmas. Rooms were delightful. Beds are super comfy. Super wonderful shower. Staff are super friendly Breakfast is delicious. Can't wait to come back.

Continental breakfast was OK. Rooms very smart and comfy.

We stayed on a Monday. The pub/bar and restaurant were both closed. This was apparently in small print at the booking stage but not very clearly highlighted. We might as well have stayed in a B&B - no value add. It was a bit Marie-Celeste with no reception attendance and seemingly no other guests! The room has limited double glazing on some windows and the hotel is located on a very busy junction. An extremely noisy start to the day from early on. The person doing check in said he was surprised at the room rate we were charged on Booking.com and would refund me some money. I await. I checked the Booking.com ad and although quoting the VAT sum separately and saying it is included in the rate... it is then added on again!

the staff were friendly

there is no car park, the room was very cramped, only half the window had a second skin glaze so the road noise was very noticeable. The guests upstairs woke us up at 6 am as the floors were so creaky.

The rooms were beautifully presented and very comfortable . As my husband has had knee operations we requested a room with a walk in shower as many had the shower over the bath. This was changed for us with no problem. Dinner on the night of our stay was also exceptional .
