The location is not bad

Very poor customer service. The staff or manager was rude and condescending with zero customer service skills . There's a clause that states that if a customer is arriving earlier than the check in time which is 3pm, the customer should inform the management ahead of time. I sent a message to notify them of my arrival and that my flight is arriving a abit earlier than the check in time. And I received a very blood response from the management and I quote "we cannot accommodate you within that time" My flight arrived at 10am. It was my first time in the UK, an environment I am not familiar with at all. After loitering at the airport for a while I decided to board a taxi to the Rostron House where I have made a reservation. I was hoping I could sit at the reception and wait till the check in time to my room which was 3pm. When I got there, the door was locked. I rank the bell and a staff responded over the phone, I explained to him that I am supposed to check in at 3pm but my flight arrived earlier. He asked me if I had sent a notification prior to my early arrival, i Said i did and i told him the response I got. He then proceeded in the same manner by telling me without even saying sorry, that they can't not accommodate me for the time being. That I should come at 3pm. I even proposed to him that I don't mind sitting at the reception or living room just to wait but he refused, didn't open the door and said the cleaners are yet to tidy the place. I carried my luggage and was wondering around like a stray dog. I regretted why I even opted for such a cheap place. Long story short, I came back at 3pm and behold, they actually had a living room plus kitchen that had a large sofa and a dining table and chairs where a customer can actually sit and wait but this staff or management was just wicked and arrogant.

Outside the property needs some work. But the inside was actually quite nice, well decorated and updated.

If you want an honest (cleaner then I would like it to be) review.. keep reading. They didnt send me any information for the access to the property, including the code to get in. When i rang to speak to someone to grant me access... the person I got was rude, he was unwilling helping and sighed heavily down the phone whilst doing so. During the concert that i was attending alone, they cancelled my booking, didnt tell me they cancelled my booking and booked someone else in. So when I got back to the property at 2am, my codes didnt work. So I an ALONE 28 year old female.. was locked outside (even though my stuff was in the draws inside) in an area I dont know, no relations or friends in the are to be able to fall back on. And when I was speaking to him, he told me that it was me who cancelled it.. even though I was at a gig at the time it was cancelled and my phone was dead at the time, and the fact on my app it stated that "the booking was cancelled by the property". He was extremely rude throughout the call, didnt appologise for the inconvenience caused once!.. no offer of helping to find me somewhere appropriate to stay at. So for my safety, the best he could offer was the sofa in the communal lounge, in a guest house full of people that I dont know. Then hung up and didnt answer any of the 26 calls made and clearly didnt care that he left an alone 28 year old female unsafe.. even though he has a duty of care for all clients. Disgustingly rude, unhelpful, will cancel your bookings and dont care for your safety in the process of doing so
