The home was great. It had what you would need for a rental home. There was a total of seven of us and we functioned well in the home. The pool and location was great. It could benefit from having basic kitchen necessities such as salt & pepper. Overall it was a great place to stay with family. Enjoy the beach right down the street, shopping within 10 minutes. Stay at home and enjoy the pool and jacuzzi.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our stay at the Luxury Beach House. I will start with the good. Communication with the owner was great and the location to the beach and Carlsbad Village was wonderful. As for the actual house, the grounds are overgrown and unkept. We were greeted with a smell that turned out to be garbage in the kitchen that had been missed by the cleaners for quite awhile. Our daughter had to switch bedrooms the first night because the comforter in the back bedroom smelled very strongly of urine. We had no paper towels or napkins. There were no dishwasher tabs to run the dishwasher. We had no hand towel for the master bathroom. When we went out to use the outdoor area, the furniture still had all the covers on it. When my husband removed the cover from one chair, it was quite dirty, so he used a broom from outside to clean it. We didn't bother with the rest of the furniture because he didn't want to clean it. The BBQ had not been cleaned and had burnt on food all over the grates so we would have had to clean that to use it. 2 of the chairs at the BBQ/pool bar are rusted out and unusable. The pool towels in the laundry room cupboard were very wet when we went to use them, so we had to throw them in the dryer. The lint trap in the dryer had not been cleaned. The house was dusty and not deep cleaned well. We felt like the house needs to have some care put into it to reflect the pictures online and be a "Luxury" Beach House.

Nice property in great location. Everything as advertised. There is room for improvement with the following: the House Guidebook needs expansion on use of spa and television and details for checkout. Also, the kitchen was sparsely equipped. [No can opener to be found; no oven mitts or hot pads, only one dish towel.] We purchased additional of these three items and left for use by future guests.

The property was as expected. Pictures accurately reflected home. The pool and spa were fun and worth the extra fee.

Loved this place, it was so relaxing to have pool with hot tub right outside or short walk to the beach. Amazing property the whole family enjoyed our stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this home. We were there with friends and family. This place turned out to be as listed! It’s right off the freeway and close to the beach. It’s right at the intersection and the driveway is right off a main street. The pool and spa were great , very clean. We enjoyed as much we could with the limited time we had. We had a slight miscommunication about heating the pool and didn’t realize to ask it to be heated in advance. The host was responsive and accommodating of our requests. There were lots of things to keep kids entertained - board games, a vinyl record player was something they don’t see often, Movies on the TV , pool and spa. Couple of supplies ran out like coffee pods and sugar, but we were able to get whatever we needed from the gas station across the corner and VONS near by. We could not find extra towels, and had a bathroom sink draining very slowly. These were just a few minor things for a new listing that didn’t affect our stay. All in all a great stay and we will probably stay here again with maybe a fewer people.
