This property is beautiful! In the perfect location. Next to the Belmont park with lots to do for the kids and beachfront access and the best ocean view! Love that they are pet friendly! Will definitely be back!

Condo is perfect size, furnished well and clean. You can people watch and see dolphins from the balcony as well as the glassed tv room, walking distance to markets, parks, restaurants and bars. Tandem parking is a plus but our Tundra extended cab took up the extra foot we needed for the second vehicle we took so we had to park that one elsewhere. We will be back (with two CRVS) as this condo met all our needs and then some.

Enjoyed our stay with 1.5yr old. Great views. Property mgr is highly responsive and great. Great location. There were some ants on the floor by windows upon arrival but after calling mgmt, they came out immediately. AC unit didn’t get super cool, which was sort of annoying given the price. Listing mentioned it had high chair but it did not have that. Interior of rental is nice. Expensive but overall a good trip. Very walkable location. No beach toys or chairs etc but to be fair we’re not advertised.

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the front window view of the beach and sunset! The property was newly remodeled, clean and well-kept. The beach was so close that our kids went barefoot most of the time. Any questions I had, I received a quick answer. Loved our vacation and hope to return soon!

We absolutely loved our VRBO! The location was ideal as the beach was right in front of us and the lifeguards are set up just a half a block away. There are plenty of restaurants (and a Starbucks!) nearby. Mission Beach was central to places we visited such as the Zoo, low tide pools, and USS Midway. The only thing that was mildly worrisome was the deck was held up by support frames on one side and was noticeably tilted. It did look like it was under construction so we still used the deck all the time!

We stayed from December 26th to December 31st. The view of the ocean from the living room and balcony was AMAZING, and being from the Midwest, we were all mesmerized watching the waves. This VRBO was spacious, and our party of 6 adults were able to hang out together in the living room/kitchen, or have some introvert time in the bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable, and all six of us (18 years old to 83 years old) commented on how well we slept. In addition to enjoying walks along the beach, we were also about 20 minutes away from the zoo, the Midway Museum, etc. We rented a car-a Chrysler Pacifica which was difficult for me to park in the garage, but my brother handled that duty just fine! I highly recommend this property, and we would love to stay there again some time in the future!

We had a lovely vacation and enjoyed staying here. Tandem parking is a little tight especially if neighbors have large trucks, but that’s just life in SoCal I believe. It’s walking distance to many things including the indoor pool and a lovely park, not to mention right on the strand. Property management is very responsive and thoughtful. Would definitely stay again!

It was very easy to communicate With the property managers. It was centrally located. Parking garage fit the SUV. The large class doors made listening to the waves throughout the night wonderful.

Nicely appointed, well stocked kitchen, great back deck for bbqing, beds comfortable, great sunsets! Watched right from the front deck. The elevator worked off and on, management responded quickly to repair requests. Weekdays, the beach was fairly quiet. Had a company come out and set us up beach chairs and a canopy, this rocked. Close to restaurants. Loved it!

Location was perfect.

The property was fantastic and the location was perfect right on the boardwalk and close to all activities. The ocean views were incredible. The only criticism I have is the exterior doors leading to the alley and the garage did not shut easily so the other renters left the doors open constantly and one of my electric bikes was stolen. I would suggest fixing the door so they shut automatically.

Amazing location - I thought it would be loud with the proximity to Belmont Park and fireworks - the sound insulation was fantastic - slept like a baby - great place, great communication, highly recommend! Stayed with my wife, 14, 12, and 9 year old!

Everything was wonderful except the elevator was not working and it was one of the reasons we rented it. It was down the entire trip and based on discussions with another tenant it’s rarely working. Gets fixed, then breaks and takes weeks to get repaired. This is an HOA issue we understand but would have been nice to know ahead of time the elevator is frequently not working. We had an ac issue on arrival and it was handled immediately. Support was excellent the whole trip for any issues and questions. If an elevator is not a must this is a phenomenal rental and highly recommended.

Amazing rental for 2 families. Great location with wonderful views. Very well-appointed unit. Property management included everything we needed and many amenities available. Will book again if we return to San Diego.

Location is a little noisy. Condo has great views of ocean, loved sitting on the balcony watching the sunsets. Very comfortable, could use a little updating but would definitely stay here again.

The view was wonderful. The location was great. The setup on the Penthouse was setup perfect for our Family. The garage was wonderful. The first night was hectic. The heater was not working and it got chilly in the evenings. The locks on the kitchen sliding glass door and the bunk bedroom did not lock, felt unsafe. The furniture in the living room area had legs bent didn't feel safe sitting on them. The area inside was very dusty. The floors were sandy and gritty. Sweeped the floor and oh my. Called and they responded fast. Brought us heaters on the first night and TV remote. Second night they came and fixed the legs on the furniture and fixed the HVAC. Definitely needed more bath towels for my size of family. Despite all that was wrong we had a great time.

This is the second time I stayed here - the previous under the management of 710BR and this time under Vacasa. My previous rating was higher. The really big problem: this is a third floor rental and the elevator is now either broken…or simply not use. That is a major issue unless you have a Sherpa or a bunch of kids to lug your luggage and your groceries for the week up the steep little staircase that is now the only way up. For older folks, this is no longer a good rental…even my 35 year old step-daughter and my 40 something stepson was none too pleased with it. I immediately called Vacasa upon arrival to tell them about the elevator issue…and got someone in a call center somewhere in the world, who said they’d contact their San Diego Team. This is no longer under local management. Capitalize that and underline it. We didn’t hear anything about the elevator from anyone at Vacasa our entire stay. Big problem here that will certainly result in our looking elsewhere from now on. You don’t pay premium prices for big issues and zero customer service. The place itself is nice, pretty well maintained and has a great location. They’ve added some better kitchenware since our last time and corrected some plumbing issues. The TV situation is a bit odd - the do YouTube TV for live stuff…and they really aren’t very good about instructions for it…the Internet is known for going out about once a day, but it comes back if you reboot. The third bedroom is three sets of bunk beds, good for little kids but pretty terrible for adults. The mattresses everywhere could use some updating. Without the fantastic location, you’d pretty much say “meh” and there are lots of places with great locations in this area.

Nice location, however the unit needs refurbishment, especially for the price being charged.

Absolutely beautiful beach views that, even though it was low 60s all week and some rain, it didn’t matter. Everything you needed was in a short walk and within 15 minute drive to the zoo, balboa, old town, and little Italy. Great stay.

The pictures and descriptions are exactly what you get! The condo was well stocked for the beach. The kitchen was equipped with everything one needs to cook meals. The beds were comfortable. There are 2 small parking spaces in the garage. The bbq was not working but was taken care of right away. Only thing missing was a lighter for the bbq which the maintenance guys said should have been in the kitchen. This is the only condo we would even consider in the future. It is expensive but ”you get what you pay for”.

We frequently stay in Mission Beach so we can visit all that San Diego offers and hangout at Belmont Park. This beachhouse was the first beachhouse just north of Belmont making it very convenient to walk to everywhere there. It was also next door to Hamels Rentals which came in handy for renting bikes and buying items needed for our fun on the beach! The 3 bedroom 3 bath with 2 master configuration was perfect for our group. We called to see if the beach items on the rear balcony in the picture was actually included in the stay as it was older pic and was told no. However, it was all there. Wish it was listed in property description as we ended up bringing all beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, sand toys, etc…. when it was provided by condo. Otherwise all went well and we really enjoyed this paradise home!

The sounds of the ocean as the waves crashed onto the beach were wonderful. The condo's sliding glass doors in the master bedroom and the kitchen/breakfast bar area that opened onto a balcony with a small rectangular table and 4 chairs were a very nice feature. The balcony provided a great place to watch the ocean and observe the sun worshipers on a very popular beach. All the appliances worked well except the ice through the door feature of the refrigerator. The apps on the TVs also worked well as did the washer and dryer. We really appreciated the abundance of beach towels provided. The only blemish on the interior of the condo was a large (partially repaired) whole on a side wall of the commode room in the master suite. Unfortunately accessing the condo upon arrival was very frustrating due to not being able to open the garage door (but it was fixed the next day). Since we were on the top (3rd) floor of the condo we used the elevator to move our luggage. Each time we rode the elevator down the door wouldn't open for a couple of minutes (an uncomfortable wait for those of us that have problems with confined spaces). Despite these minor frustrations the overall experience was fabulous. It had a great kitchen and the vistas/sunsets were amazing.

We had a great stay at the Island Escape, San Diego. The location cannot be beat! It was clean and welcoming and the view was amazing! We only wish we could have stayed longer!

It was a nice property. The outside could have been kept up a lot better. Never received garage code not sure why. Very close to everything but that brought flies unfortunately. And there are ants and spiders inside property. Wasn’t loving that!

This was by far the best beachfront rental. I was so pleased with the layout and surrounding amenities. We will be back for sure.

Located in a very central area, close to so many things walking and few minutes by car: airport, restaurants and even museums. The Home is beautiful, kept very clean and easy to access. The view of the ocean and beach can be enjoyed all day and evening! Wonderful sunsets! Convenient parking.

Nice and Relaxing just watchin people jogging on the beach, surfing, picnic, cycling and surfing. The ceiling to floor glass was great and kept clean by weekly cleaning inside and outside of the unit. Great place to be and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
